Do you think that a Fall 2025 release means more time for development and to expect a better game with more features compared to what we got until now?

No it won't. Gen 10 isn't happening 2025, or didn't the release date not tell you that?

        >Fall 2025

WTF are you on about, it's more than likely coming out Jan-March 2025

Are you moronic anon? Do you use logic?, serious question.

        Reasons:

        1. Releasing Fall (Nov 2025) is just under 2 years away, S/V is already over, the DLC has released, there are no games between now and LZ-A, they have NEVER gone 2 years without a game.

        2. Gen 10 will be Nov 2025, Legends will come out Jan-March 2025 - Just like Legends Arceus and Scarlet/Violet was released in the same year.

        3. The reason they didn't specify a release window is likely due to the Switch 2 not having a release date which atm is rumored to be March 2025, they more than likely want to release LZ-A alongside it to boost sales for the console and the game.

        4. A Legends game does NOT have lasting power to hold over the franchise for another year, 4 years between Generations is never going to happen, the fact that it's set in only Lumiose City means it's likely not a mainline length game, obviously there will be a few new Pokemon but those few won't be enough to cover merch for 2-3 years.

        5. The entire franchise relies on games, without games, they don't have merch to push, toys to sell, new and shiny things to consume, 2 years is too long to not have anything new to push to people.

          You dumb fricking Black person
The 100 most popular Pokemon (aka the only ones 99% of pokemon fans care about) are mostly old Pokemon
They could easily keep making merch of old Pokemon for at least 10-15 years and the profit wouldn't suffer
          >Gen 10 will be Nov 2025
Unlikely unless Switch 2 is a MINOR upgrade over Switch 1 (much like New 3DS to 3DS)
And that point you'd be better off just having it on Switch too

Exactly, don't know why people get their hopes up like this. January 2025 for Legends and November 2025 for Gen 10.

this, plus they will announce the gen 10 games for holiday 2025 on pokemon day 2025, just one month after plza releases

        Anonymous

They would have announced it for "Early 2025" because they would want to get things ready to launch Gen 10 2025, like in 2022 with Legends Arceus in January and SV in November. They don;t want to, because they want to release Gen 10 in 2026, to celebrate the 30th anniversary, poor-chan.

If it is a fall release then I hope so, people have been complaining about the dev cycle rate for a while now. I think expanding on the Legends concept is also a great idea and Kalos reallllly needed something. if it means Unova is put on the backburner for now then I'm cool with it as long as it gets some love eventually.

I'd rather have an open world Kanto remake than a Gen X for the 30th anniversary, but it is what it is, I'm just a bit bummed that out of all the gens after 4 it's 9 that gets to last 4 years

        Anonymous

3 lasted 4 too. 3 was far worse because they started revealing shit, then stopped as they realised they were gonna frick the delivery date. 'Least this time they're keeping us mushrooms until they're ready to start running Gen 10. Besides, there likely is still a game release for this year, then Legends news next year and you won't find time flying.

They announced ORAS and LGPE in May of their respective release years, so I still believe they're announcing Johto remakes in a few months, for a 2024 release.

No way they'd go 2 years without releasing a single game.

I had that thought too. Now could well be we're both wrong. But until late June, it's not out-of-play just yet. Although being fair, they could have planned this year a fallow year, to allow them to delay start of Gen 10 to allow it to get three years AND launch 2026, but like I said, won't know for certain until late June, when it gets too late to reveal for marketing porpoises.

      >announcing a game that's releasing later before a game that's releasing earlier
that makes no fricking sense, if we were getting johto remakes, or any other games releasing this year, they'd have announced them at pokemon day

        bdsp was the exception
backlash made them retro pedal to the initial reveal dates
which means we’re back to the may/june schedule announcements for remkes

They didn't bother announcing Let's Go on Pokémon day in 2018 is the point, you dumb little bastard. And even then, they confirmed they were working on a Switch Pokémon game for 2019, because they knew bastards would worry Let's Go was the new core. There's also the fact announcing two games that time confused a LOT of the public, which is probably something they want to avoid. It may be a fallow year. Or they may have taken lessons from how they've marketed their shit in the past (or better still, KNEW they wouldn't have to reveal the existence of a retread game so fricking early in the year, when May/June is ample time to reveal and release the first trailer for it, per LGPE's performance). Post Game Freak ID. Elsewise, stop trying to predict what they're going to do, no c**t actually thought we'd get a Legends set in Kalos. All you frickwits could think of was your fricking childhood and the lore of a dragon that split and would ABSOLUTELY be reformed because reasons and the fact none of yis have a fricking scooby about timeframes the events in the universe tale place. Meaning you have no scooby what they're going to do to potentially make money this year with a new release or not.

Legends is November 25, moron-chan. Else they'd have said "Early 2025" to allow adults with families/etc to budget for its release.

No it won't. Gen 10 isn't happening 2025, or didn't the release date not tell you that?

Braindead-kun, early 2025 is still one full year away. Late 2025 would be almost two years. PLZA will be a paid beta test which will be marginally better than PLA at best. Should we expect the PLZA marketing to go on for almost two years?

moron-chan, they haveen't got a game for november 2025, else they'd have anmnoyunced Legends as "Early 2025", like they doid with Arceus because they had SV to launch in November. If they WANTED to launch L: Z-A in Q1 2025, THEY'D HAVE FRICKING TOLD US. Stop being a moron bastard, just because your fricking headcanon's been shattered by them again c**t.

Patternbrain-kun, you must drop the patterns. Gen 10 and the 30th anniversary are big milestones. They will likely want those games to be better than SS and SV.

moron-Chan, they'll never care about you. Of COURSE they want Gen 10 to be a celebration of teh series. But it's not suddenly going to care that you exist and wont suddenly take a level in looks or anything, if there's a 22 month long drought between releases in '25 and '26. B team's working on this one, remember? Senior staff on A team are handling Gen 10 and have been since at least 2023 (one year pre-production, two production is their usual MO. May take two pre-production, just to REALLY smash it though, so it may have started earlier).

              Actually he's got a point.
Why skip 2024 Holiday season when it's the most profitable time of the year?
To sell it in one of the most unprofitable one? Doesn't make sense.

                Anonymous

There's patterns and then there's thinking like someone trying to maximise the profit margin of a game studio. And launching christrmas makes more money than trying an early-year release then not doing a tap for almost 2 years. There's also the fact January is still last year's finacial year, per Japanese accounting practices. So launching Jan 25 is going into EOFY' 24 and not EOFY'25, so they're actually harming their revenue unless they have a christmas 25 release on top (Legends Jan, SV Nov, one for last year's balance sheet, one for this year's). Doesn't make sense which is why its a christmas release.

                Anonymous

So are you saying that Legends is Holiday season 2025 or...?

                Anonymous

Yes, november '25. Because if they wanted Gen 10 then, they'd have announced Legends as "early '25", like with Arceus, to then have november free in consumers' minds because "if legends is Jan, what's for christmas?". They want Gen 10 2026, the three blind mice could see it a mile away. Which means Legends is going to take point in '25, to allow them to spin out the years until '26.

                Anonymous

If this would be true, then why not announce PLZA on Pokémon day 2025? Why give this such a long marketing campaign, the longest since over a decade? Your theory would make sense if they have one or two other games they will release before Gen 10. Let's hope that won't happen.

Doesn't matter how much time they'll take. It's still going to be an unfinished mess. It's still going to run terrible. It will all feel lifeless. Any new forms and rehashes are going to be goofy and silly. Characters are going to be androgynous. If they're not androgynous, women will be portrayed as strong and men weak and goofy. Black folk will be everywhere.

And you will still buy it.
