I use to be, Then I realized it wasn't worth it. 90% of the time.
Games just keep getting re-released, theres no consistency between platforms with or without achievements. Other people dont care what I do, MMOs kind of hammer that reality into you.
Unless theres some goal thats ultimately worth the effort I'll do it, but I can just watch a cutscene locked behind a boring grind on youtube.
If the completion reward is something gameplay related, its worthless because I've already done all the content to get it most likely.
I almost always do at least a little optional content whenever I'm playing through games.
But I rarely go for 100% completion unless I'm super loving the game and don't want it to end.

I used to dislike this dude because he's a tendie, but now I just feel sorry for him
>>Buts every Nintendo game on the E-shop. Nobody cares a week later
Did he upload those anywhere? That's the only reason I would care but being an eceleb I doubt he did anything useful with it other than try to milk views.
>His only contributions to the Friends Per Second podcast are to say "I didn't get a code for that game so I've not played it yet"
this is funny and sad
Depends purely on the game.
Sometimes completing the game comes naturally as the end result of experiencing everything.
Other times, it's 900 korok seeds that reward you a golden poop.
I complete most games that I hold in high regard.
when game is good getting 100% is enjoyable but more often that not there are 30-50 achievements and 99% of them are piss easy and there is 1 actual achievement which takes 4 times as much as all the others
and its genuinely pissing me off
i only do it when i like the game a lot
in stardew valley the achievments are set up in a way that you have to do everything in the game to get them all, but there's not much grinding (other than the grinding that already comes from it being a farming sim) so it was was more of a fun checklist
No. I will complete a game if it isn't very time consuming and maintains fun. If it has achievements that are needless timesinks that will make me hate a game, I don't bother.
Depends on the achievements. I recently beat a game that features 17 achievements. I'm at 15 and there's no way in hell I'm ever getting the last achievement because it requires me to die 99 times in a game that I beat before I even died 9 times.
On the other hand, there is a game that features a total of 511 achievements, every single one of which I have completed and will continue to 100% it every time a new one is added because I love playing that game and completing the various challenges in it.
I cannot imagine forcing myself to 100% every shitty game I decide to play like this guy does, it seems like pure tedium
imagine being stuck on the last percent for hours or days
frick that
Sometimes the payoff makes it feel worth it.
Sometimes it doesn't.
I realized I had a problem when I started trying to "complete" achievements for video game ports of board games.
I hate ecelebs, but I respect this homie cause his gimmick is so extreme.
You would never catch me casually 100% games every week, I don't think you'd catch anyone doing that, but here is this dude clocking in 200 hours like it's a week in the office, then he has to write a script, record it and put it up then do it again.
I have OCD and want to be a completionist but also can’t bring myself to because it’s a complete waste of time and no fun. But honestly I fricking hate that achievements exist and can’t be turned off. They do nothing but trigger my OCD. I also hate how every game these days has to have 100+ poorly made cosmetics and emotes and shit, and daily challenges.
Super princess peach requires you to collect all the toads (three hidden in each stage, with five stages times eight worlds) and they don't even tell you before the end. Frick that
God I'm glad I don't have OCD.

I just complete games I really like.
I almost always do at least a little optional content whenever I'm playing through games.

Don't ever feel sorry for youtubers they aren't people
neither are Four-Channelers.

He bought 3ds and wii-u then handed the consoles over to video game archivists so nobody cared
so dumb. pirates have been archiving the e-shop for years. most games were probably already online
I think he said he was gonna donate them to a museum or something kek
At least he has more money than you. So that's something.
Hi Jirard
Most people have more money than me it's not an accomplishment
>Most people have more money than me
This is factually incorrect.
>His only contributions to the Friends Per Second podcast are to say "I didn't get a code for that game so I've not played it yet"

I never 100% a game in my life.
I just got 100% in AVP homosexuals. Now fricking kneel.
Ass vegana Penis?

this is me playing yakuza games and having to learn mahjong and getting lucky in shogi in order to 100% it
i only do it when i like the game a lot

Don’t care white b***h get gang raped next time piss brains hahahahhahahahahahahahaha
Depends on the achievements
This is my (third) rarest achievement on steam.
It's always strange when a casual game has an achievement asking for perfection.
You look like garbage irl and in your achievements if you have a bunch of uncompleted games.
Usually not, but if there's just a few left and they aren't a pain in the ass then yes. Of course I'd only do it if I liked the game too.
In this day and age, not one post with
!
I miss those episodes he was in
I watched some on archive.org a few weeks ago and they were pretty comfy
No. I will complete a game if it isn't very time consuming and maintains fun. If it has achievements that are needless timesinks that will make me hate a game, I don't bother.
NO, FRICK THAT!!!
ENDING IS ENDING
When I see the credits it's over.
I think it's a fun idea, but I never do it. I think I might try it with Pikmin 3.
I have never 100%/platinumed a game in my life.
I'm addicted to collecting platinum trophies.
I find it enjoyable 90% of the time; until I play a game that has a stupidly grindy trophy.
Depends on the achievements. I recently beat a game that features 17 achievements. I'm at 15 and there's no way in hell I'm ever getting the last achievement because it requires me to die 99 times in a game that I beat before I even died 9 times.

Only in games i really like
I moved on to the ultimate challenge: 100%ing MMOs, 15000 hours into my current one, 90% done.
But what do you get for it?
Do you plan to sell it off for money?
No, I am mentally sound.
I cannot imagine forcing myself to 100% every shitty game I decide to play like this guy does, it seems like pure tedium
imagine being stuck on the last percent for hours or days

I realized I had a problem when I started trying to "complete" achievements for video game ports of board games.
Only if it's doable on one playthrough.
Multiple playthroughs are a instant no. I don't even get why people get excited for newgame+
I hate ecelebs, but I respect this homie cause his gimmick is so extreme.

It's his job to play video games. He also streams it, if I recall.
It's nearly indistinguishable from other streamer/content creator jobs.

Do you have a diagnosis?
No. I’m not gonna pay someone to tell me I’m moronic.
