Well yeah, in actual cardboard Yusei’s cards are good, but I’m mostly referring to in universe. There his cards were considered trash with no real use to them outside of stalling
back then when I was watching 5ds it was pretty hype to see they slowly gain advantage and get speed spells to finally summon stardust or RDA to duke it out.
nowadays, i notice half the cards is just stalling bullshit just so they can accrue enough monsters for a synchro which does nothing.
A fun game to do is watch how many cards they play just end up being worse Waboku.

For a new player, either just go standard DM, GX or 5Ds. 'A good yugioh' show is very subjective, but for normies either DM or 5Ds should be fine
The first three series, subbed, are all fantastic choices. 4kids really fricked things up for them all in their own respects, though you get gold like Brooklyn Joey, finger guns, etc.
