Lumen is a combination of a bunch of different smaller things, so it wasn’t that surprising (DICE came with a GI system based on similar ideas, indecently, at a similar time).
Nanite on the other hand was surprising, but likely just came out of them trying to oprise the engine for movies, then finding that it increased performance even for lower density meshes.
It may be one guy for Nanuet, but it isn’t for Lumen (though it is simple enough that one person could implement it given what Unreal already had support for).
Here are the presentation slides for Nanite:

Lumen’s is not yet public.

This ideas btw are signed distance fields (used for sky occlusion in Fortnite, which required something like this due to players being able to break/place walls), deferred lightmaps (essentially a combination of deferred cubemaps, used in games like RDR2, and patch based real-time GI techniques as seen in Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst), screen space GI and voxel based AO/GI (newest Tomb Raider, Godot), and finally real-time raytracing capable GPUs.
I couldn't even finish BB. That final season sucked Why would I watch a spin-off of a comedic relief character? I bet it's the same format of several seasons of nothing happening then "oh shit we need to wrap this up."

Well, I can't fault you there. I love the show, but this exactly what it is. But I love slow burn stuff, so I'm biased. But yeah, sounds like you'd hate it. It's even slower than BrBa was at its slowest.
Who wrote Nanaite and Lumen?
Who the frick is the programmer that made the new tech that finally pushed gaming forward.

Still want a name I know pretending the "company" made is a meme but I know it's most likely 1 guy or a small group.

>Vince, why are we recording my voice lines for the Unreal Engine 5 adaptation of Breaking Bad (2008) first?
Mike’s actor will outlive Bob Odenkirk
I still have no idea what Better Call Saul is and how it's related to BB.
the hell is wrong with you, watch it already

There is a character named Saul in BB. Better Call Saul is his spinoff.
Better call Saul is the story of Saul, and why people would want to call him. Watch it, it's actually really good.
No, it's not.

Anyone with a brain could see that coming a mile away as soon as they started their scheme against Howard.
I'm not afraid of Howard
I just want PS1 graphics back. I want low polygons, texture warping, low draw distance, and all at a blistering 20 frames per second.
