the original game is basically two games in one with the amount of content it has, it's massive in its variety and I can't see a AAA remake of it that doesn't heavily cut content
I can't see the suplex or kick making it in, or the funny dialogue, or much of anything that made it an awesome arcadey fun action game, but it might be interesting to see what a more survival horror RE4 would look like; it did go through a few previous design iterations that were closer to the first 3 games after all

I have eyes, I've seen the way some of the enemies ice-skate across the ground, it's a problem in quite a lot of third-person action games

also I didn't even like GoW 2018 but Ragnarok's combat looks kind of fun and I'm starved for over-the-shoulder action games, hopefully it's not total shit

remakes not created by the original director are essentially fan games, they're objectively less creatively inspired than any new game which Ragnarok is, even if it will likely be shit

REmake 2 was better than GoW 2018 so I guess fans know how to make better game than these soi infused original devs.
Gloomwood is one of the only reasons I haven't gone on a killing spree in minecraft. Thief was one of the best fricking games I've ever played when I was a child, and Garrett was the most badass character. I can't wait for Gloomwood.
I could maybe see no suplex, but if they take out the kick it just won't feel like RE4 at all.
