Maybe, i dropped Shadowverse a few months after launch and i heard 2 is going to start of with a clean slate.
Might as well check it out before the game is already resolved and filled with meta tryhards.
I remember when the first one came out and thought it was cute, I just didn't have time to play it and I was adverse to competitive stuff at the time.
Fun memes though, Vania and dingdonger angel best girls.
To me it looks like they are using the engine of the switch game with 3D maps and minigames in an open world. They are also rolling 2 classes into 1 I think.
Maybe I'm confusing the two, but at least I think so. They said a few things, also that some cosmetic shit carries over, but I think you don't keep your actual leader skins.
Only if they roll back the powercreep to how it was in the first few expansions of Shadowverse. The game has gotten ridiculous now with every card having 5 different effects
Not even under duress. I had actually successfully forgotten I ever played that shitty kusoge, thanks for unlocking the memories, now I have Vietnam style PTSD flashbacks.
Maybe.
I haven't played Shadowverse in a couple of years. Finally convinced myself to stop.
I finally kind of admitted to myself that I was no longer playing the game because I actually enjoyed playing the game. And just kind of kept playing the game because I had like 99% of the available card library even as a free to play account. And the collector/hoarder in me felt that was worth maintaining or something.
But outside of checking out new sets for like a week tops when they're new, while analysing new card/deck gimmicks and the related card/game design. Which I did get varying degrees of enjoyment out of, from moderately to decently so.
Anything beyond that was just a pointless grind. I kept telling myself that if I was just playing for 30 minutes tops a day or something then it was fine. I could play while eating breakfast or preparing for work or whatever else and it just wouldn't hurt. But every now and then there'd be events or seasonal stuff that demanded more than 30 minutes in a day and I'd really question why I even bothered.
I'm unironically one of those people >plays thousands of hours >negative review >do not recommend
Except that I never bothered doing a review.
That said. I always loved the Shadoweverse/Bahamut/Granblue/etc worlds. The presentation was always top notch. It might be the most beautiful and visually appealing card videogame.
My curiosity will probably lead me to check out Shadowverse 2. Especially if they've made significant changes to the game. My interest in curiosity in card games broadly will probably demand that I study it and make up my mind on the pros and cons of the design. Then again, I do kind of fear of falling into the above trap again. But hopefully that won't be an issue.
IDK I find it hard to keep up with gacha since you have to log in every day and shit. Losing out just a little bit makes me lose motivation. Also what will happen to shadowverse 1 will all the content be unlocked or something?
They just came out with a physical card game so its gotta be doing pretty good.
I don't remember what exactly their plan was, they said they want to run both, but I don't remember what they said about new card sets for the old one. They've already started releasing a bunch of old cards in new sets so I assume it will be just trending downwards. Also some cosmetic shit carries over, but I think it's only the most useless shit like portraits and titles.
Probably, I played one a lot during the early days but stopped keeping up with it due to one really bad meta and never came back due to feeling too out of the loop.
I will but I hope they scale back the power level of cards.
I enjoyed Shadowverse more when it was about trying to get control of the board, nowadays almost every good card comes with a board clear and you and your opponent keep constantly clearing each others board.
Hope it goes back to having actually good back and forth games.
The game feels so fricking weird. Like playing for board is 99% a losing proposition because everyone just OTK's you from hand with 0 possible counterplay except doing it faster than them.
No
Understandable. I haven't played much of 1 in the last year or two either.

Why make a sequel over just further improving the original?

Shadow and blood like the physical card game?

The first one lost me with the miniexpansions after absurd power creep.
I might try this while it's new but I don't expect to stick with it.
Why are they making a sequel? What's new? Will it stop being a israeli skinner box for mindless autists?
Here's a trailer with some of the features, the biggest one is definetly the overlworld shit.

>releasing on same month as Elden Ring DLC
June is cursed for any other game release.
I hope it doesn't hurt monkey ball too much.
its going to die like all cygames shit

I dunno, I never had problems with shadoba since I only played like 2-3 classes. The real pain in the ass were alt art or leader cards.
No.
just localize uma musume you fricks
Looks nice but it's still Shadowverse.
I'd like to but it would have to be a real game and not some kind of noninteractive power fantasy like yugioh
will it have the same cards?
No, I think not. They also have new mechanics.
Will shadowverse be eos then or continue both at the same time?

no. I dropped the first during the first anniversary and have no intention of playing again
Probably, I played one a lot during the early days but stopped keeping up with it due to one really bad meta and never came back due to feeling too out of the loop.
I'll only play this shit if I can use my leaders from 1. Frick this gay ass shit.
I will but I hope they scale back the power level of cards.
