The one that shows npcs on the map is a must have QoL mod imo. Call it a cheat mod all you like, I don't think memorizing schedules is good gameplay.
If you think you need to memorize schedules you're already playing it wrong. Just talk to people as you see them, if you talk to them a lot you'll passively learn where they frequent. If you care enough about one of them to look around for them and discovering where they hang out that can be more fun than simply beelining from point a to b.

I had the Burglar's Ring permanently on + the Special Charm (unfortunately I didn't get the Lucky Ring until Ginger Island) and I had like 10 by the time I quit my run.

warping to the desert also helps save a lot of time
each iridium node has a 4% chance of spawning prismatic shard and every mystic node has a 25% chance of dropping a prismatic shard
also try to make your mine adventure happen on a good luck day, and give a rabbits foot to the joja truck driver for even more luck

You can build Clint up into asking out Emily and date and/or marry her yourself.
As for Penny you can break her heart three times. First you can tell her you hate kids in her eight heart event, which is brutal for her since she's basically dating you at that point and she loves kids. It causes huge damage to your relationship. Second you can dump her during her 10 heart event by saying you aren't interested in her even though you were pretty explicitly dating her at that point. Again, this costs you hearts with her. You also can't do this to anyone else. Finally, you can marry her, give her kids and give her a nice home far away from her drunk mother. After that you can divorce her, turn her kids into doves and then make her move back in with her drunk ass mother, even worse if you never buy Pam the new house. You can give her everything she has ever wanted and then rip it away... Please don't do this to Penny though, she doesn't deserve this at all.

I actually went for Maru in my first run of the game. She was introverted and had nerdy hobbies, and lived with Robin so it was easy to find her, and was easily pleased with ore gifts. So I quickly filled her heart gauge. Then I got the 2 heart event with Demetrius, and that was shitty and put a damper on everything after. Probably what made me lose interest in her is the fact that no matter how far along I got with her heart events, she never seemed to warm up or get closer, and didn't have any kind of arc to her character. All her competitors do at least one of those, the better ones do both (like Haley). Maru is every bit as self-absorbed at 8 hearts as she was at 2, and doesn't seem to have grown or changed at all, or had any kind of epiphany about her feelings for you. It's just a really cold, lame romance.
I feel like Maru would be the one to have really kinky fetishes if that content were in the game.

I don't get why anyone would ever use the Nexus mod manager for game mods, it has always been shit and most games either don't need a mod manager or already have their own dedicated mod manager.
People who use mod managers are usually modding more than one game actively, and often have hundreds of mods, some with specific load orders.
If you're not that type of person then yeah a mod manager is overkill.
Besides Stardew the only modded games I use mod managers for are the Elder Scrolls games and Fallout New Vegas. Everything has been simple enough to just unzip in the game's file or its own mod file or that it has Steam workshop.

The Rentry
has all the info you need under the making mods section. Aside from the art stuff, it's as easy as inputting the right fields in Notepad++ and filling them out. I don't recommend starting until 1.6 is out and has actual documentation besides the wiki migration page, though.

Depends on what you want to do. But now is not a good time to start a new mod, because 1.6 is going to overhaul the game's code base to make it easier to mod going forward. A lot of modding for Stardew is on hold because of this update.

1.6 will have fallback features to keep older NPC mods working, so the mod itself will most likely be fine. The dependencies it uses are another matter entirely.

Jas is content patcher. Content patcher itself will need to update, but content patcher mods should be fine. If 1.6 broke regular content patcher mods, it'd wipe out 99% of the mods out there and people would be riot and many would choose not to update to 1.6, it'd be a huge mess trying to salvage all the long abandoned mods.
That said jas uses other dependencies too for additional features like npc adventures, which will also need to be updated, but all those should be fine as well.
