It's weird. I've lived in a small midwestern town where almost everybody goes to church every single Sunday my entire life.
People around here are simultaneously kind and loving towards everybody while also being incredibly judgmental and spiteful towards the same people.
Last summer the school got a new science teacher. Me and about 15 other people all came to help them move in and do some repairs on their house, all free of charge. They started going to church and seemed to get along with everybody but then not 2 months later a good chunk of the community ostracized them because their eldest son (15 years old) got caught in the park fingering the pastor's daughter.(also 15). These people stopped getting invites to barbeques and I've heard some people say the most vile shit about this kid around town. It's not even a race thing, the family and their son are white as paper (like everybody else here).

It's not hypertolerant iirc, they're kind of in a situation like we are with the woke crap (except there's some truth to it in the manga unlike reality) in a cultural sense. There's not really a major division aside from a few small groups and wild monster people, but people are overly worried about what people say affecting relations and the public is generally still antsy about different cultures intersecting. It's actually a pretty cool outlook and shows how there can be a lot of issues that arise from different groups entering society, albeit it's mostly just cute girls doing cute things and seems to be more left leaning in how it presents stuff.
I just meant like in a vibe sort of way it's more wholesome though. MGQ and Encyclopedia stuff still has a sort of awkward predatory vibe to it all, rather than a fluffy happy village life one if that makes sense. That, or a commensalistic relationship with the human population, in that they rape a male human, both people live and go on their seperate ways, but one more monstergirl is added to the population resulting in say, more sluggirls or earthwormgirls being born, but not impacting the human population's demographic statistics.
There's an objective quantity to monstergirls being a bad thing in that world. think some of the bounciness of the MGQ dialogue and personalities is to offset the ethical question from being too skewed in the "all monster girls" are bad, and show that they're still living creatures.

I'm reading it now out of boredom. The start is really preachy and feels longwinded even though it's not that long, if I was the dev I'd probably change that and try to be a bit more subtle. You can still have all the ideology and praise, but I feel like it'd hit harder and be less obnoxious if it came naturally from the characters and the narrative instead. I is definitely wholesome and relaxing though, so it delivered on the promise I guess. The OP pic doesn't do the girls justice either. Harpy looks shit there, but ingame her design is much cuter.

There's definitely ways you can subvert it without being disrespectful, even though I would argue that it's fine to be disrespectful to an extent anyway. You could approach it like that Hazbin Hotel thing where they portray it as everybody (including the angels) is swaying from God's plan while also highlighting a lot of the good values in the religion, albeit it's kinda bogged down by being gay as frick furry shit and somewhat forgiving bad behaviour in how it makes the bad acts look "cool" a lot. Or you could go the other route like Midnight Mass where all of the religious aspects are portrayed positively and as embodying strong values that build up communities, but also show that misguided belief and assumptions can lead you down the wrong path even if your faith is sure. Basically it boils down to criticism does not equal disrespect, even if there's a thin line between them.

The setting is that the daughter of Lucifer is basically a Disney princess trying to campaign to get demons to start actually working towards paying for their sins instead of sinning forever in Hell and getting periodically cleansed by the host, while convincing the higher ups in heaven that even the damned can change their wicked ways and repent to earn a place in Heaven. The character writing is very solid when it pay offs, but the jokes never landed for me at all aside from the visual humour and the wholesome/childish ones. I would never have watched it if I wasn't already somebody who likes musicals like a gay and if my brother didn't tell me it was good as well.

I will say, the anon who made this is pretty thorough. I liked the summaries of the three books you can choose to read, and all of the church related stuff feels pretty authentic. I assume Demian is the dev's self-insert, so his whole spiel about how he became an apologetic was probably based on his real life. He and the principal talk about how and why a lot of people are leaving the faith.
I like to think the demons here are reformed but what bothers me is that there's no angels and other divine-related ladies.
Angels in the setting are considered purely spiritual beings, so you can't romance them.

To the dev: I enjoyed the game so far. It delivers on what it's offering, and I genuinely enjoyed a lot of the Christian parts past the introduction. I would say tone down that part a bit if you're trying to ease in people. I genuinely hope there are more theological discussions in the full game, but I might just be an outlier.
From the girls we've seen so far, I'd say Eva is the best one.

If you want to watch something, you can't go wrong with the Prince of Egypt.
Getting into a praying habit every day is also a good step if you want to be more religious.

Finished the demo, I liked it but agree with the anons about how the introduction talk about religion could be written in a more natural way for the reader, other than that I hope to see another bro character and I am left curious if there will be non religious endings, like going with Aria and being spiritual in a sense but put the religion aside, or the path would be more like trying to find your connection with God together with her (which is way more likely to be honest). All the girls are good, from concept alone I really wanted to go for Wren, but Sera was a bit more compelling in her attitude (I swear is not because she shows a bit of interest in the MC), and the character I was least interested in was the literally me slime (anti)Ganker girl (she actually likes games) 1 one for personality not that is bad and 2 because she plays gacha.
I really hope to see Wren tomboyish side combined with a spice of girlishness in the full game.
