Last Epoch is alright, but it's updating so incredibly slowly, it was promised to be out of EA by now, but it's not, they haven't even got the Multiplayer update ready, which was promised last year.
Grim Dawn is fun, but I've played the shit out of it just like Diablo 2 ages ago.
Last Epoch's multiplayer patch should start next Friday, if I got it correctly. Not sure whether they set a full release yet, though.
My money is on them taking the spotlight on the arpg market sooner or later. PoE is just pure shite and not worth anyone's time, neither now nor in the future. And blizzard is blizzard. It will be alright, but geared more toward casuals.

You want me list my problems with it? For a map so big there was not that many actual notable points of interest. It was hollow and barren. It served no function. In fact it made the game worse because of it. Due to getting an open world we got worse legacy dungeons. They blew their load on the first legacy dungeon.
stormveil = good
carian manor = empty open ground with enemies just laying around and leading to more hallways and buttresses
volcano manor = small and shit, just empty lava and more running around paths to get to different elevations to get to the boss
Academy = again hallways leading to more outside to more balconies with enemies sprinkled in
leyndell = same as above
sewers = small maze like area. Nice that it was attached to lyndell, though. I will give it that. Added vertically in a sense
farum azula = just shit for my tastes. Terrible level design imo. Just haphazardly chuck broken parts of structures around lazily make them be able to cross to each other while making it maze-ish and chuck enemies in there randomly.
