It's easier to reuse the Chaos assets from Vermintide 2. If you're familiar with the game and saw the gameplay footage they showed you'd recognize A LOT of animations being a 1:1 port.

Would have been way more interesting. The lore allows for all kinds of bespoke alien bugs so you could cover all of the enemy types, and a death world jungle would work well for procedural generation without repeating assets being as glaring. Honestly it is a huge missed opportunity.

after seeing the gameplay videos honestly I was gonna skip it even though I liked vermintide 1 a ton and vermintide 2 decently well. but it's on xbox gamepass ultimate and I got 3 years of that shit for 50 bucks so I'll at least try it
