I was but got sidetracked with other games. I will probably continue but was already getting kinda bored treating the goal of hitting the major bosses.
I have a strength/arcane guy in NG+ ready for the DLC and I have a cute Witch who is at the very start of NG++ and would need to rush through the game a bit to get to the DLC. Will probably go in with unga bunga first.
Being good at ER means nothing. There's no bonus points for being underleveled, and really no bragging rights or pride to be found in it anymore anyway. Might as well just let yourself enjoy whatever build you want to its fullest. The difficulty difference is barely even a thing if you've played these games for long enough.
Have my 6 level 125 characters ready for June >Pure Str Black Knight Glaive wielder >Str/Fth Erdtree Armor guy using Ordovis Greatsword who was originally my Darth Maul cosplay character >Str/Int Arthas knockoff with Dark Moon Greatsword >Fth/Arc Dagoth-Ur knockoff. Arc purely for the Rot Dragonbreath and Lava Dragonbreath attacks to represent Corpus and Red Mountain eruption >Pure Dex build who’s a Nero knockoff from DMC5 >Slave Knight Gael knockoff. Cannot remember exact stats aside from using the Marais Greatsword
Might do a 7th run before Shadow of the Erdtree.
I find cosplay characters to be really fun because (to me at least) it adds an extra dimension to them and/or more of a challenge. E.g. for Arthas, he only uses Frost spells and the only summons I used with him were the undead ones because he’s the Lich King.
If I do a 7th character I’m thinking of either doing either Little Mac from Punch Out or Tifa Lockheart from FF7 because I don’t have a pugilist character yet but I loved my Silver Knight pugilist from DS3
I do too my bad anon I didnt mean to come off snarky I honestly meant it was cool. Your dagoth ur is kino.
Check out my Sif. Uses inseparable sword and spa 2 hand blood claws when berserk.
Sorry for boomer image.
Didn’t sound snarky to me anon. But I am going to steal that look at some point so sorry in advance
You are way under leveled for the DLC. I just got my character to level 250 today. Got a couple maxed out somber weapons and a couple regular weapons ready for some cool new ashes of war. Though I'm sure I'll find some awesome new DLC weapon that I won't even touch the old weapons.
>TMNT character
I’ve wanted to do one for a while now but from memory I don’t think there are any sais in the game so no Raphael for me.

Whoops, meant for
I've got like 20 of these cosplay builds. Link, Linkle, jedi, sith, godzilla, simon Belmont, cyborg 009, a sentai hero, teenage mutant ninja turtle, sailor moon, a variety of duck, swan, Phoenix, wieneratrice knights, etc etc
I have faith and int builds ready, pretty soon I think I'll be done my dex and arcane builds
I also have pure strength and int/faith builds but they're not very developed yet
You are way under leveled for the DLC. I just got my character to level 250 today. Got a couple maxed out somber weapons and a couple regular weapons ready for some cool new ashes of war. Though I'm sure I'll find some awesome new DLC weapon that I won't even touch the old weapons.
should i get elder scrolls if i'm bad at video games? last souls game i played was demon's souls and i got too nervous and couldn't beat any of the bosses without help.
Once you hit level 300 and start doing taunters tongue or invading, every second invader gives you 1.2m runes. I'm literally SWIMMING in upgrade materials, they don't matter.
>I will never understand leveling past 150.
I will never understand stopping at any particular level.
I have at every weapon at max level already, and my storage is packed to the brim.
>PVP
Pointless for an endless number of reasons. If the meta is 140-150 I'm lower than that just like when the meta was 120 in earlier games I went above it.
Going osst 150 just gives you enough end to make any build in your primary stat instead of having 8 different fth or int or dex builds.
150 is the meta, but it might end up higher in dlc just because hybrids will be getting catered to instead of only being lol SoNF.build.
i still don't understand why they made it completely useless in PvE with shit damage and blight not affecting npcs on top of the moronic stat requirements you have to invest into it. i don't need to be able to instadeath bosses or anything but at least let me clear trash with blight.
That one pisses me off since if you look closely it seems an incant seal is being used to cast.
But incantations getting shit that SHOULD be sorcery is par for the course I guess.
no, i stopped playing this game some 30 hours in after i realized that you can't actually get better at the game - every boss has his own moveset and every move has a different wind up animation, and you have to learn both for each and every boss you fight against, but they're all different and they have nothing in common. so every trick or pattern you would learn from a boss would be completely useless knowledge after you beat the boss (i guess except those gargoyle minibosses, i think there were a couple with the same moveset)
i don't like games where you can't get better by design, no matter how long you play, and whatever you learn is useless knowledge
Yeah this is ER's biggest flaw. Blamed the tards who joined for le ebin prepare to die meme bandwagon and all the redditors who overpraised Bloodborne and DS3
Already did. I'll probably respec though because the character I made was a gay meta Blasphemous Blade build made for the sole purpose of blasting through the game as quickly as possible so I'd have a maxed character ready for the DLC. I've killed every major boss and gotten most of the unique items/weapons so I'll be able to do whatever.
I know the real content will be locked behind Mohg+Radahn but I still can't be sure nothing will happen in the main game so I'm holding off until the DLC drops to invest in new runs.
Still made a bunch of new characters that I rushed to the main weapon I want to use though.
I predict >Melina will have some dialogue >Malenia may get new dialogue and if we’re lucky, she’ll get a new intro like Sif did
They’ve done stuff like this in previous games, I know Miyazaki said it wouldn’t impact the main game but he could’ve just left out small details similar to the Doll getting extra dialogue after Maria or whatever.
Sounds like are horrible idea to burn yourself out on the main game right before youre pumping another 30 hours into the DLC
I mean, do what you want, obviously, but when I asked people here if I should rather play Dragons Dogma 1 or 2, they said: Just play 'em both.... and those games are like 95% identical.
Horrifying.
i agree with you, i try to avoid playing any similar games to a game that's coming out that i'm excited for. if new resident evil game is coming out, i'll play a bunch of fricking mario or racing games or something, something completely different from horror. i constantly need to bounce around between games/genres. i usually can get about a week of playing 1 game in before i start to get the itch to play other stuff. it's not even that i get bored of it, there's just infinity other games i wanna play and i find it hard to justify spending too long on one game. this is why my top played games usually cap out at like ~300 hours. i see some people with like 3k hours in fricking factorio or something and i'm like, man, think of all the other games you coulda played in that time
I just rushed mohg and cheesed him with the pizza cutter. I'll finish the rest of the game with all the dlc weaponry. Need to get a dex build ready but I'm lazy.
just running around with my lvl 210 spellsword char ive had since launch. playing ds1 again got me in the mood to play er a bit and get to the point where i can just dive into the dlc when it drops since i think u gotta get to mohg
I kind of want to rush a character to Radahn (free win) and Mogh (might be tough early on) so I can access the DLC as soon as possible and lock my character to only using DLC stuff. Might be a moronic way to experience it for the first time but there's so much cool shit it should be fun.
Only, I don't know what build to use to beat up Mogh at a low level.
Start as Samurai, get Dectus Medallions, kill Greyoll with your bleed katana and pop Fowl-Foot for 90k runes, level vigor, level to 10 arcane, get the Two Finger Heirloom from Liurnia (check fextra or something) to reach 12 faith, get blood flame blade from church of roses, kill crystalian that drops the bell bearing for smithing 1 and 2, get the bell bearing for 3 and 4 from Capital Outskirts, kill Gilika for Ritual Sword Talisman (optional), get all the 6 Smithing 5s from Altus Tunne, Kill Alexander in Radahns arena for the Warrior Jar Shard.
Now you have a +14 Uchigatana and can apply Bloodflame Blade to it for additional bleed build up (hes weak to bleed)
Get black flame weapon and slap it on something fast like a club.
Then slap bloodflame weapon on something with bleed on it.
Oh and you only need 2 flasks to heal through Nihil.
>Only, I don't know what build to use to beat up Mogh at a low level.
there's an exploit with using his shackle outside of the fog wall before the fight that disables his AI, then if you use poison mist to kill him his AI won't activate
it takes a long time and if you make him pivot to the left or right at all his AI will activate anyway
I have elden ring on PS5, but the main reason I played souls games was the co-op, and PS5 has an issue where loading takes sometimes minutes and when they do load in, usually the connection has failed already.
Is PC any better? I remember hearing around launch that elden ring's co-op was dead because of that seamless co-op mod.
So it's completely fricked and empty for co-op? Might just skip on the dlc, honestly, makes me sad that I can't seem to just fricking play with randoms.
>So it's completely fricked and empty for co-op?
Seamless co-op is password based. It is specifically meant for long co-op sessions with friends so you don't have to resummon. If you just want to help randos you should be playing vanilla.
That's not true. It's one of the most popular mods.

One of the most popular mods can still be used by very few people.
Fallout frontier is a very popular mod, very few of the people with NV actually play it.
Started playing it yesterday for the first time and I'm impressed with the game. My only major complaint is that there isn't enough to discover in the open world, other than bosses that will guard one chest or something.
You'll encounter some neat things poking around. The open world facilities the lore more than anything. You can actually work out a bunch of deep lore looking at architecture and plants and stuff.
Can you imagine a souls game with refined combat?
No more dpad cycling through 10 spells and 30 throwables.
No more dog shit input queue.
No more shitty lock on camera.
CAN YOU IMAGINE
Why is the lock-on so intentionally shit? I only use it situationally and fairly often just find myself fricked over by the devs deciding to make it hysterically contrarian.
I played on console and want to play the dlc on pc
I'm just gonna download a save, I put almost 200 hours into a single playthrough I'm not doing that shit again
I have a character I'm overlevelling on purpose with the idea that I'm just using the minimum stats needed to use everything in the game for shits and giggles but I've gotten a bit bored because I'm just googling the location of items, getting it, then grinding bird untill I have enough runes to use it and level it up and then I do the same thing with a different weapon. I should probably consider doing a level 1 playthrough and relying on a classes base stats.
I have a lvl 180 FTH/STR heavy armor dude, a level 80 DEX with Malenia's arm and currently leveling a guy that's going to be really high level INT/FTH because I'm using gold scarab talisman + gold four toed fowl foot for every boss.
I'm ready for fricking anything.
I am planning on replaying the game in general once the DLC and patch for it drops. My only question is how late into the game is the DLC and what the recommended level range will be.
Did they ever end up buffing STR or did it turn out to be good? I played and beat the game in like a week and a half so I don't even know if there was a single patch before I finished. I played an INT build, not knowing it was OP because, well, I played at release along with everyone else. I'd love to do a STR, heavy armor type build with big unbga bunga damage. Is it viable? What is a fun weapon to go for with it?
All I remember at release was people crying about Strength being bad, but that is also why I asked "did it turn out to be good?" Obviously a week in people were using unoptimized builds and random weapons so it could have just taken time for people to figure it out. It was pretty obvious early on that the dumb rocks and comet are pretty OP and easy to use.
Alright, cool. I'll do that for the DLC since my INT character beat the game and it got kinda boring killing everything in 1 second with magic. Any fun STR weapons to use? I don't mean THE BEST META TOP 1 STRENGTH WEAPON THAT BLOWS YOUR ASS, I just mean fun/cool.
>Not doing both magic AND guts sword >Not using one of the 3+ int scaling greatswords
Lol?
int users are chads. im playing a dex katana user in ng+ and i just rushed through to get to mohg for the dlc and i was summoning help on every boss for fun, and on mohg it was so funny the guys name was just like "STAND BEHIND ME" or something and i went in to mohg and then he just instantly died to the comet azur thing, did like 30k damage. was very funny
your holding your shield upside down
I have a Lvl 139 Hero with basically everything done. I will probably make a vagabond close to when it releases though
Will probably go in with unga bunga first.
mines are ready
>all over leveled
Lol shitter spotted, the max level you should be is 40 and even that is pushing it bud
gatekeeper no gatekeeping
Being good at ER means nothing. There's no bonus points for being underleveled, and really no bragging rights or pride to be found in it anymore anyway. Might as well just let yourself enjoy whatever build you want to its fullest. The difficulty difference is barely even a thing if you've played these games for long enough.
>overleveled
they are for invasions, moron.
If the goal is invasions that's way too many level 125 characters. Not enough range variety.
Shut up. Been seeing this moronic shit for 10 years now.
Holy fricking based. Keep dabbing on these shitters.
based
tryhard homosexual
Based and same. Except all my characters were full playthroughs
Have my 6 level 125 characters ready for June
>Pure Str Black Knight Glaive wielder
>Str/Fth Erdtree Armor guy using Ordovis Greatsword who was originally my Darth Maul cosplay character
>Str/Int Arthas knockoff with Dark Moon Greatsword

>Pure Dex build who’s a Nero knockoff from DMC5
>Slave Knight Gael knockoff. Cannot remember exact stats aside from using the Marais Greatsword
Might do a 7th run before Shadow of the Erdtree.
>almost all based of characters or cosplay
Cool stuff
I find cosplay characters to be really fun because (to me at least) it adds an extra dimension to them and/or more of a challenge. E.g. for Arthas, he only uses Frost spells and the only summons I used with him were the undead ones because he’s the Lich King.

yeah my game isn't installed or I would be linking pmuch that picture. Except one would be a SL1 run stuck at fire giant
>Edith has like 20+ hours more than anyone else
Is that your "main"?
should i get elder scrolls if i'm bad at video games? last souls game i played was demon's souls and i got too nervous and couldn't beat any of the bosses without help.
I'm just going to try almost everything at once
Max tier coop/invasions are still active
I will never understand leveling past 150.
All of those runes this moron used to get to level 444 should have been used on upgrading weapons and obtaining consumables for PVP/DLC
Once you hit level 300 and start doing taunters tongue or invading, every second invader gives you 1.2m runes. I'm literally SWIMMING in upgrade materials, they don't matter.
>I will never understand leveling past 150.

No, that sounds like a huge waste of time.
Playing a new dude with a friend of mine, trying to get a 3rd to join us. Its been fun aside from getting invaded by people with endgame shit on.
reminder the DLC will be massive
I hope the incants and spells are both useful and unique. That purple one better be on par with the best.
pic rel better be good
it's probably an ash of war. I hope it's not locked to one weapon but the other crucible ones are
moron
yeah death sorceries suck and kinda boring tbh.
i still don't understand why they made it completely useless in PvE with shit damage and blight not affecting npcs on top of the moronic stat requirements you have to invest into it. i don't need to be able to instadeath bosses or anything but at least let me clear trash with blight.
I'm just tired of 3skull emoji. 6skull emoji. skull emoji but bigger. skeleton.
like how about the dark breath the skeletons use or other stuff.
>I'm just tired of 3skull emoji. 6skull emoji. skull emoji but bigger. skeleton.
why couldn't we get the giant skeleton the tibia mariner uses
c'mon I just want this. we don't even need to fly just cast it.
All the cool death spells were relegated to weapon arts.
Not really. The spells are spells the weapon arts atent spells.
the death flare that the deathbird hook weapon has is cool as shit and would have made for a really cool spell
Cool stuff
It would be shit because there's no buff to a weapon then, instead the Eclipse Shotel can proc with R1s
The death ritual spear has the really cool attack the death rite birds do when they're tired of your shit.
That's cool
They have a decent history with DLC items and spells being good so I am not too worried. DS1 magic was too good in fact.
The chain butterfly explosion looks absolutely disgusting if it works the same way as Nebula
That one pisses me off since if you look closely it seems an incant seal is being used to cast.
But incantations getting shit that SHOULD be sorcery is par for the course I guess.
Usually the trend is with the past DLCs that items and abilities dominate the meta with how strong they are so I wouldn't worry about that.
Reminder this image proves literally nothing about size
It will be the same size as Limgrave. Stormveil will also make an appearance.
I left my OG character in the burntable hold after dancing with the magic worm monster. I'll just continue where I left off
what magic worm monster?

yeah, just finished my str/int build. p cool shit, left if before Mlaiketh because i like to see lenydell intact instead of just a mountain of ashes
my ng+ guy just so happened to be at mohg
yeah
Already did. I'll probably respec though because the character I made was a gay meta Blasphemous Blade build made for the sole purpose of blasting through the game as quickly as possible so I'd have a maxed character ready for the DLC. Nah. When I feel like doing another playthrough I’ll pick up the dlc then.

Horrifying.
Why would you assume someone would get burnt out? I've been playing ER daily since launch.
i've played 100 hours across two new characters since the dlc trailer and contemlating a third. getting burned out is a you issue frickface
>pumping
>30h
?
i agree with you, i try to avoid playing any similar games to a game that's coming out that i'm excited for. if new resident evil game is coming out, i'll play a bunch of fricking mario or racing games or something, something completely different from horror. i constantly need to bounce around between games/genres. i usually can get about a week of playing 1 game in before i start to get the itch to play other stuff. it's not even that i get bored of it, there's just infinity other games i wanna play and i find it hard to justify spending too long on one game. this is why my top played games usually cap out at like ~300 hours. i see some people with like 3k hours in fricking factorio or something and i'm like, man, think of all the other games you coulda played in that time
I just rushed mohg and cheesed him with the pizza cutter. I'll finish the rest of the game with all the dlc weaponry. Need to get a dex build ready but I'm lazy.
can't wait to have fun helping people with bosses once the dlc drops
just running around with my lvl 210 spellsword char ive had since launch. playing ds1 again got me in the mood to play er a bit and get to the point where i can just dive into the dlc when it drops since i think u gotta get to mohg

You can literally snipe him from outside the arena.
Now you have a +14 Uchigatana and can apply Bloodflame Blade to it for additional bleed build up (hes weak to bleed)
>starting as a suboptimal shit
You can get Nagakiba in Limgrave
>Mohg is weak to bleed
I thought he was resistant, never tried to use it against him.
Fricking hell.
Being lord of blood actually means he’s full of it so he pops like a balloon.
He is weak to bleed, but he also gets a damage buff for every bleed proc.
How much is the damage buff? Is it actually a decent risk/reward ratio?
It's worth it. He buffalo but your bleed hits will do so much more you wint notice his Atk buff.
he gets bled but it's a reduced percentage of damage compared to getting the bleed proc on other bosses
After beating the game once it doesn't take long to get to the end since you know all the bosses movesets and can rush through everything
>since you know all the bosses movesets
idk what Maliketh does he just dies in 6 hits
He does some flippy shit while throwing his shit at you and your health degrades. That's all I've gleaned.

no you moron, randoms won’t be using seamless coop, learn to read. only people who want to play in a closed private lobby with friends will use it
Shota.
I will be going through the DLC with Middle Aged Malenia. Then a level 1 character.

Obviously a week in people were using unoptimized builds and random weapons so it could have just taken time for people to figure it out. It was pretty obvious early on that the dumb rocks and comet are pretty OP and easy to use.
STR was always good, and yes, it got buffed
Alright, cool. I'll do that for the DLC since my INT character beat the game and it got kinda boring killing everything in 1 second with magic. Any fun STR weapons to use? I don't mean THE BEST META TOP 1 STRENGTH WEAPON THAT BLOWS YOUR ASS, I just mean fun/cool.
sorry, fun/cool weapons are dex only as always. you get uh... big sword/club lol
>never finished the game
>did co-op mod with buddy
>still not finished
>exact same build except one is samurai start the other isn't
I just really wanted to try magic for once guys now i regret magic it's just not the same as guts swords.
Magic is swingy while big sword always feels reliable. I hated magic until I got the kris from Sellen's quest. That dumb knife makes magic pop boy.
>Not doing both magic AND guts sword
>Not using one of the 3+ int scaling greatswords
Lol?
Loving that fp bar wizbro
int users are chads. im playing a dex katana user in ng+ and i just rushed through to get to mohg for the dlc and i was summoning help on every boss for fun, and on mohg it was so funny the guys name was just like "STAND BEHIND ME" or something and i went in to mohg and then he just instantly died to the comet azur thing, did like 30k damage. was very funny
Cast frozen mist then cast spells lol or use the moonlight sword skill
Kek, no, there is absolutely no reason to play Elden Ring more than once. I'll just use the character I beat the game with.
i still haven’t beaten the game and i bought it on release
I cannot wait to uncover the mysteries of kind Miquella.
