Those 4 new kids look like they came from an anime >eccentric red haired protagonist who loves food and cooking, probably only uses food mons >protagonist's cutesy little sister that smothers him, until we show up and steal her away driving him insane having lost her >hotheaded white haired rival who's just a white male Nemona, also Guzma's son. Probably steal him away too >quietly bookworm girl who slowly becomes more and more racist unwilling to accept that a foreigner has been beating her and the others
Fully expecting Kieran and the red haired protagonist to go full columbine and you have to stop them both in a double battle with Carmine as your partner
Isn’t this whole place a battle facility? Doubt we’ll ever get the frontier back but at least we get something. I liked the World Tournament and Battle Tree (gen 5 and 7)
it really does feel fricked to have to ask for a tower equivalent in a dlc, but i need one so bad, absolutely shocking they excluded one from the base game
Battle facility in the Orre games where you fight 100 trainers with break rooms every 10 battles. Both games offer special Pokémon for completing them.
There's no restrictions and the levels go up with each tier. You'll start in the low-mid 10s and end around 75.

So you can basically create your own difficulty? Sounds pretty cool.

Not really, it just means that if you're doing the inevitable 100 straight battles challenge the first 80 or so fights are going to be trivial and tedious for a team that can handle the end. Mt. Battle didn't have semi-randomized trainers either, every battle from 1-100 is fixed and you can even get exp and money there along with BP.
Colosseum did have a more standard facility-like version of the battle tower in the side mode though.
NTA but that sounds really nice actually. I was never a fan of the battle facilities myself, particularly since the gen 4 ones were buggy like with the battle factory.
I wasn't bad at it mind you, I know how to follow a meta. But it was never a fun thing for me.
You're correct, it doesn't, and the website specifies that they're called "Blueberry points".
That being said, I think it's highly likely that they're tied to a battle facility. The fact that there even is a seperate, earnable currency implies that there's both a unique way to earn them that's somehow different from LP/money, and more unique uses for them. It'd be extremely bizarre to introduce a THIRD currency for no real reason. Furthermore, the fact that the Indigo Disk is tied to post game, and the fact that the school is a school with it's own league fits this. The generic npc datamines, alongside there being a new ribbon also fit with this. I think it's likely that the Blueberry E4 will be re-challenge-able in a Battle Tower style format, and you can grind and earn BP this way.

This starts to sound slightly like cope which makes me instantly convinced there will be no normal battle facility with fixed levels and no EXP gain. It's pretty sad that I have to see "they will add a battle tower" as cope, but I remember during the ORAS leaks when half of us were convinced "Battle Resort" would be a frontier equivalent.

What about that is cope? There's both mechanics implying the return confirmed, and mechanics datamined that lines up with it.

>What about that is cope?
The fact that you're just making a bunch of shit up that you wish was true and pretending it's "confirmed?"
Anon, they don't even let us rebattle the elite four anymore, do you really think they're going to bring back even a battle tower equivalent when it was already basically a non-thing in SwSh due to how you could dynamax when the opponent could not? They dont see it as fun singleplayer battle content just as a way to grind BP and will replace it with literally anything else given the chance.
The Academy got transferred to a different dimension and is now stranded in the ocean. It was meant to land in a desert, but Game Freak can't make sand anymore and simply placed it in the game's huge ocean sphere some distance from Paldea.

"Sorry that our plane had to make an emergency landing in Mistralton City. It sure was a long detour to reach Undella Town so we can take the boat. Luckily, I treated you and made sure to stop at Driftveil and Nimbasa City along the way. Those PWT battles with all gym leaders and Elite Four from eight regions sure were exciting weren't they? And those musicals were sublime! Anyway welcome to Blueberry Academy, students aren't allowed to leave the school. Farewell"
4 suspect to me >Clavel
Passive aggressive bragging to one up him >Kieran
All part of his master plan to put us in our place >Carmin
Shit talking >Brarier
Also has some sort of master plan she needs us for
>"Higher ups tells us we need to feature Unova in the final DLC to tease the upcoming remakes" >"What a pain. How are we going to develop a slice of the region without going over the deadline? We'd need to feature some kind of landmark and the surrounding area to both make Unova fans nostalgic and introduce the look of the region to new fans, and then we need to fit the assets we already developed on top of it." >"I got it! Just set it in the wide open ocean, Unova has a ton of ships and such" (laughs) >"Brilliant!" (laughs)
I wouldn't be surprised if this actually was the case blueberry academy is a battle school so being a good a trainer and a gym leader gramp has its perks
You at least have the option to attend classes and pass exams. Since the player character is basically a super prodigy you probably already have all the credits you need, canonically speaking.
Maybe The Indigo Disk's Area Zero storyline will finally bring the Treasure Hunt to a close. By then, the Protagonist would have embarked on several adventures worth considering as their "greatest treasure".
Imagine if completing the final storyline and passing all the courses permitted the main Paldean characters to go on their holidays. That might be nice.
>have two weeks to book off work before the end of the year >no specific reason to book a specific period >if I knew the DLC release date I'd just book it for after that >but we don't know it
Annoying
Just based off the trailer I can tell that this place is gonna feel surreal.
>You're alright don't come to blueberry this winter
Ready for Unova. Ready to win.
>tfw meet Mommy Iris
I already love the blue berry siblings we got so I’m hyped

please
just a crumb of battle frontier
even just the tower
Isn’t this whole place a battle facility? Doubt we’ll ever get the frontier back but at least we get something. I liked the World Tournament and Battle Tree (gen 5 and 7)
There is a "Terarium" that seems to be what is housing the "Elite Challenges" and i wouldn't be surprised if it has "wild" mons in it.
it really does feel fricked to have to ask for a tower equivalent in a dlc, but i need one so bad, absolutely shocking they excluded one from the base game
It's confirmed BP is a thing and datamines show that generic trainers are a thing (the generic pool of trainers in the Battle Facility)
Oh shit I think I missed that, nice
It's confirmed to be a Mt.Battle clone and not a proper facility.
the what now?
Battle facility in the Orre games where you fight 100 trainers with break rooms every 10 battles. Both games offer special Pokémon for completing them.
Whats different there compared to "normal" battle tower?
There's no restrictions and the levels go up with each tier. You'll start in the low-mid 10s and end around 75.

Surely you can post a source if it's confirmed.
>It's confirmed BP is a thing
Where?
The website mentions use of BP. It's used to upgrade your room (and possibly other things).
It doesn’t have to be from a battle facility though, “BP” could just be the term for League Points in the new area.
You're correct, it doesn't, and the website specifies that they're called "Blueberry points".

A new Mt. Battle would be great. Pretty much anything different than the average Battle Tower is good.
someone keeps saying this and its not confirmed. no riddler poo is not a source

So, Unova is a sunken country now? All left is this building in the middle of the ocean?
Team Plasma pulled a 9/11 on the whole region
The Academy got transferred to a different dimension and is now stranded in the ocean. It was meant to land in a desert, but Game Freak can't make sand anymore and simply placed it in the game's huge ocean sphere some distance from Paldea.
You know how Hoenn's Battle Frontier was an island? It's probably something like that.

>Would rather skip class all day
What his deal
Believes he can just get by with nepotism alone
I wouldn't be surprised if this actually was the case blueberry academy is a battle school so being a good a trainer and a gym leader gramp has its perks
how is that different from what we do in paldea
You at least have the option to attend classes and pass exams. Since the player character is basically a super prodigy you probably already have all the credits you need, canonically speaking.
The Treasure Hunt is a class-skipping assignment that will never end
Maybe The Indigo Disk's Area Zero storyline will finally bring the Treasure Hunt to a close. By then, the Protagonist would have embarked on several adventures worth considering as their "greatest treasure".
