So the cost of the chicken breast 3x'd + some while my wage since then has only increased 3.50$. My wage hasn't even increased by 40% kek ggs.

Games can cost that much but be worth much less. These games that are being pumped out by the AAA and the industry aren't even worth 60$ on release. Costs and prices don't matter if they're pumping out low effort dog shit that isn't even appealing to play. They're greed is going to tank the industry if they don't figure out how to manage their funds and consolidate their companies. Mass firing are a good thing right now. Wrong gay. There are bunch of games i can buy that are indie developed that are much cheaper and higher quality experiences. The reason for the declining quality is the mismanagement of funds and leaving a bunch of the development and writing to people that aren't qualified for the job. You're the one that doesn't seem to understand that high cost doesn't mean quality.

              >We would be getting better games if you paid what games are actually worth.
Wrong. Your logic here is flawed. People NEED to get fired because too many of them are dog shit at there jobs and are only there as diversity hires and neopotism or quotas. Cost and wages have nothing to do with that but companies are ballooning their budgets and funds with these useless people in their company and also focusing on terrible decisions when it comes to making games. Games aren't worth the time or money they're currently at, This is why the industry is failing and "entitlement" for wanting complete and good experiences in our games is fricking moronic because we are PAYING for a product the games were are currently paying are simply not worth the money or time investment so go ahead and let the AAA and industry crash imo. We need mass fires and closures so these companies can finally get it in there head that they need to get better at financial allocation.

Correct. However, the industry is healing in other ways.
Gachas are solving the problem and so gacha devs are now stepping into single player games (Stellar Blade for example.)
Until devs of JRPGs and similar market-capped games begin pricing at 200 dollars minimum (1,000 would be better) they will be stuck at lower production values. Mass market products always suck, dev studios need to adjust for affluent customers like myself. I will pay up to 10,000 dollars for a great game. There are enough of us to make up for the hordes of turd worlders who play MMOs and other assorted slop.

Considering its now $18 for a big mac, even if they raise the price to $150 dollars, video games will still effectively be cheaper than they were in the 90s.

you see. The game is measured by price /playing time

i paid 30 dollars for palworld.
a game needs to be at least 3 times better as palworld, or give me at least 240 hours worth of content (i have 70 hours on palworld right now) for it to be worth 100 dollars.

indie games very very rarely sell over $30. Indie games are the price set based on sheer quality with no lying advertising and over-hype BS and sure AAA games are worth a bit more than them but not by much. SOOO the conclusion of indie game pricing is that with enough customer scams leading to negative publicity they will have to return to actual normal "quality" based pricing and it's looking like that number has barely changed since the 2000s. $50-$60.
If they charge more than this people won't buy soon

The game price outrage thing is moronic.
    Games are products being sold.
They can cost however much the seller will price them at.
If the price is too high, the potential customer just won't fricking buy them.
    Screeching like a moron that
    >LE PRICE IS TOOOO HIIIIIIGH
    will not get you anywhere.
Look at the printer ink. The price is objectively too high, people constantly screech about it, and absolutely nothing had changed because people continue to buy moronic products at moronic prices.

printer ink is not made to be bought in parts by individual people but in bulk by various companies

        Anonymous

First of all, individuals can absolutely buy printer ink at a fraction of the price "various companies" sell it to them, you are fricking clueless. The markup is still pretty high, but we are talking about 200~400% vs 10000%~20000%
Second of all, "buying in bulk" does not justify a hundredfold price markup, you are fricking moronic.
Printer ink cartridges are among the highest-margin products in the world, if not THE highest. It's gotten to the point, where even well-known daylight robbery services like SMS technically have lower markup (i.e. how much do YOU have to pay for a message vs how much it costs to the service provider on average) than printer ink cartridges.
