13 trilogy are JRPGs with JRPG mechanics what the frick are you talking about you moron? I notice you didn't include 10 in your list of non-JRPGs so you don't care about an overworld. Well enjoy 13 then, it's yet another linear JRPG with no overworld, you like them right, you like 10 after all
None of the 13 games are action games in any way, and 12 is only "action" in that battles are real time but all the important combat decisions aren't made in real time in that one.

XII is pretty popular actually, not hard to believe it'd be the only one someone likes.
12 isn’t popular at all. People barely even remember the game due to its late PS2 cycle release and its convoluted battle system.

XIII-2 and LR have some of the worst endings that I've ever seen in any video game and I stand by that statement.
13-2 ending would've been fine if 13-3 actually followed up on it properly instead of going on a giant tangent
FINALLY a good thread!
The only one I didn't like is 13-3, because of the timed nature of it. I'm actually one of the freaks who loves timers in games but not in a JRPG. This is a genre where I want to take it easy

FF XIII was one of the last gasps of artistry from FF before the dark ages (XIV's era of MMO hell before XV saved things a little.)
I thought XVI would kill the series but CBU1's Rebirth has brought FF back again. If they remaster XIII it would also be good.
FF was originally for Artists, this is why it gained steam. I dislike the current catering to second life rejects, but SE is very moronic and prefers $1 from 1,000 dysgenic monstrosities over $10,000 from 10 eugenic Artists.
