It's kind of insane how a nearly 10 year old game still looks better than the games coming out today.
If you haven't played the Arkham Knight at 4K 120fps max settings, you really haven't played the game.
The population is absolutely not fine on PC. The peak last Friday night was 13.5k, last night peaked at 4.5k. That's 2/3's of an already small player count that couldn't be fricked to come back after one week. This game was supposed to last for years because Rocksteady's not shitting anything else out for another 5 years at absolute best.
If this were a FIFA or fighting game or something it wouldn't be a big deal, those always sell poorly on PC compared to console, but this is a looter shooter. Looter shooters sell fine on PC, there's no way only a few thousand people are playing on PC with millions on consoles, the player count is probably capping out at like 80k across all platforms, which is awful for a new release. Combined with a high rate of refund and the fact that this is the only thing this studio has made in almost a decade? Grim.
Imagine having better technology than ever to make games and over 40 years of expertise to draw upon to make your game better than it's predecessor and STILL failing to do that. Too many companies are regressing as they chase mass appeal.
Anons couldn't shut up about SS so I decided to replay the whole Arkham series, plus I dropped Knight at like 50% back in the day and decided to give it a chance now.
Frick, I'm even playing Arkham Origins right now and it's not as bad as I remember it to be, but maybe they actually patched the thing at some point.
Not even meming when I say Arkham Knight is one of the best games ever made.
Shit is just pure fun from start to finish. I've replayed it 3 times and it's still the peak of comic book vidya.
The hardest part of the game is the very beginning when enemies steamroll you, then it gradually gets easier as you unlock upgrades and learn the mechanics. Honestly it's a complete joke.
Well... maybe? Knight is slightly better in keeping you invested in combat since there are more enemy types so you actually have to think every now and then, plus some enemies can hit pretty hard during the later parts of the game, but that's it, it's still BamHam at its core
To me the flow got ruined when half of enemies were some special electric or medic guys. Hated that shit so much how they always broke the flow and made you use stupid gadgets in middle of the fight. >and those fricking turrets.
Easily runs on, let's say, 2018 hardware without any major issues. There are som slowdowns here and there which are only apparent in Batmobile chase sequences but I think that's basically an issue with UE3 asset streaming that you can't really fix. But it's not like it's a major issue, shit will drop to 45-ish FPS every now and then, and this is pretty much the worst part about the game.
Those airship rooms with big windows and loads of pipes that spew volumetric smoke recked my fps the hardest, it went to low 30s. But I played it on 980ti with 1440p 21:9 all settings maxed and still got 90-70 in the open world and 60-50 with carstuff.
So would say its quite nicely optimized nowadays.
If they are going to make a Gotham Knights sequel, Batgirl's ass needs to look like this.
frick off ant.
are asian girls really built like that
they wish
Stephjc is an Aussie.
and a coal burner
Wtf? What kinda fabric is that? It looks like thick foam or leather or something, but then it moves like regular spandex yoga pants.
First post worst post.

I played it default settings on deck and it was breathtaking. Its not jist how it looks, the animations are unreal
>single player game with higher all-time peak than multiplayer game
grim
both are movie games
>It finally hit 59 on metacritic
ooof
It is the middle of the morning. Calm down more people are going to be jumping on very soon.
I don't get all the doomposting. The population is fine everywhere. Most people play this game on console.
Most people playing Arkham Knight on console too since it's $5 now.
People on Playstation are playing Helldivers 2 while on XBox they're playing Palwaord, I don't know who the frick are you fooling.
Studio wont survive 6 months more and this dumbass trying to say everything is fine

Why are so many people playing Arkham Knight?
Probably finished Suicide Squad and wanted more.
I laughed heartily at this, you're a funny anon.
That's what I'm going to do next weekend if I finish Suicide Squad tomorrow.
I decided to replay all Arkham games after watching BTAS
they wanted to play an actual video game
Batman is cool

Weird, because Arkham Knight is relatively old and absolutely fricking atrocious.
>absolutely fricking atrocious.
that's hyperbole and you know it
No it isn't.
Does Arkham Knight have a terrible difficulty curve like Arkham City?
Both games felt relatively consistent in their difficulty throughout the game so I'm honestly not really sure what you're talking about

it forces you to use the stupid tank in 50x1 battles if that is what you are asking
Those battles are really easy. The hide and seek task fights can eat my dick though. Kills the frick out of the pacing.
did you play on a gamepad or mouse and keyboard?
Game pad. The hide and seek tank fights were really easy, they just take so fricking long.
that explains it
you have to keep pressing the middle mouse button to become the tank
its fricking horrible
Yeah arkham doesn't seem like a keyboard and mouse sort of game. Always game pad there.
How is the PC version now? Last time I tried to play it was completely unplayable.

If you ever feel like seeing a bunch of dick outlines just DuckDuckGo image search Lycra
I reinstalled the game just to play the Harley dlc and look at her ass
>both below Horizon Zero Dawn
wtf bros... why is Sony winning?
It's a beautiful looking game, I imagine people wanted to explore an actual nice city.
