Even the R1 attack animations on all weapons classes were all redone into 4-5 hit combos compared to previous games having just 2 animations looped.

There's just the crabs, wolves, dogs, slimes, slugs and thralls from DS3.

I blame PvP because they probably made attack animations slower in order to remove 2 hit true combos even though it was easily the best part of Dark Souls 3 PvP. I also blame the high damage of most weapons when upgraded to +25
They made them slower because it was too easy too just R1 spam the PvE mobs in DS3, especially if you have lots of stamina.
That's why the 4-5 hit combos end in a slam with a big recovery, this gives mobs in a 2v1 or 3v1 breathing room to hit back and you're incentivized to roll or block to reduce the length of the recovery.
I kinda agree about 2 hit stunlocks in DS3 being better, but that issue can be resolved with how fast you recover from the 2nd hit without needing to touch weapon speeds.
In DS3 the first hit always makes a medium to big stun while the second is always a mini-stun.

Not that guy but I'd be ok for R1s to do 30% less damage but combo into R1R1 like DS3.
It made fighting ganks much more manageable, being able to stun juggle between 2-3 players and not get overwhelmed.
Maybe have R1R1 on every class but great and colosal weapons and keep their high damage as is.

The point was that the player character is slower while bosses are faster. Weapon skills are actually the lowest risk and highest reward if you consider the insane damage and stance damage some skills get for how fast they are.

Test out smg and shotgun, pick the one with higher stagger since you would want to go in and out fast with the highest stagger so you can dish out big dick damage

I guess it's more you arn't seeing anyone, just voices and people in AC's. Most dialogue is mostly just professionals giving you a corpo rundown of a job.
