Oh right, I forgot about this game. The first one was a pretty good arcade shooter, it even featured an ice worm, except that it was biological this time.
>I think mealworms are underutilized. Should've made one of them a mutated giant coral addicted one we fight as a boss.
Anon, you unknowingly just described Lost Planet 1 and 2.
Can it? I don't even remember seeing trees, though most of the game is either in artificial environments, deserts, or ice sheet. Rubicon is clearly a near-barren planet, and in the one trailer it even seemed to be pre-Fires
The planet being absolutely brutal to live on makes sense for Coral since the reason it ended up so energy efficient is because whatever unicellular organisms eventually made up the network had to have been extremely hardy to survive.
You have trees in the first mission anon, you already forgot the first area of the game in the snow? Also it's funny guns have so much impact you blow trees away just by firing them and being close to trees.
I hope the dlc will bring some wildlife and nature, like seem in this pic.
I thought it was snow at first too, but I feel like it's probably ash from the fires. They don't actually specify anywhere though, as far as I'm aware.
>Rubiconians happily eat this shit and get high off of its coral dregs
There is no humanity left to be preserved at this point. Coral Release was the right choice after all.
Nah, they eat Coral naturally. It's why they're upset that the PCA is withholding it.
Walter says those are swollen to immense proportions, they're actually only the size of a large cow normally.
It's also worth noting that in earlier gens, augmentation was a fricking punishment.
You're pretty much turning your body into a disposable soldier. You get the operation when you're shit out of luck and you have nothing else to offer to the corporate overlords other than your body, which they'll turn into some penal guinea pig.
It still is. Iguazu got his augmentation surgery because he went into debt.
Desperately, mealworms are about the only viable food source on Rubicon. The mealworms eat Coral to grow. The log is a guy going “don’t give the worms the coral, gimme gimme”
>We can make big mealworms if we overfeed them magic red space bacteria >Can support life
Every location we see is either a barren tundra or a rocky desert, which of those seem like they're prime real estate for farmland?
Just finished getting the Plat by S ranking every mission. Used my story build for it and havnt swapped off a part since post NG Ibis. Had loads of fun but I’m sad it’s over
AMA
That's for the combat logs that increase your hunter rank, not the hidden data logs which are just for lore. G4's corpse in Wallclimber for instance (how the frick did he die there, G5 ditched him like a b***h sure, but he's a tank with zimmerman and songbirds, come on).
[...]
When you hold the charge of the chainsaw or the whip it also works as a weak block.
>Got the Chainsaw
holy fug, this thing is nasty. The fact it doubles as a shield is icing on the cake
Plasma Whip also does the same thing when charged and it spins, and you can cancel the spin/charge by pressing Y/Triangle too so you don't even need to commit.
>no one else knows every member of the redguns including the guy at the start who's license you can't steal and the MT's have names based on bodies of water
I just consider that this entire plane of existence and me cannot exist without some kind of grand purpose that a superior intelligence is aiming for. So I do nothing to frustrate him until he gets so sick of it he's forced to manifest itself in front of me or just kill me out of spite.
If we all go meet life and do nothing surely something is going to happen.
You can't fool me into doing something by pretending that doing nothing was the thing you planned me to do since the very beginning. I know they're panicking up there.
based one arm colored differently from the whole ac color set not being red
I spent a long time trying out a bunch of different weapon and part combinations and I think this is the one true build for me. It's strong enough to hold out against metaslime if I play perfectly, and really adaptable to fight a wide variety of different builds.
Patch notes btw. Bugfixes and a couple new QoL MP functionalities

I love this game most because I read AC as ACK and it makes me smile.
finished NG+ cuck coral destroyer, 4th try ayre, eh, feels like cheating. must be because I finally hard locked on.
don't think I'll do the last ending, stagger is gay.
Generally with ease. Some missions are a problem though and require some changeup to loadout or just mindset with how to tackle the objective (betray the Redguns comes to mind).
>he doesn't add visual storytelling to his ACs
Why would the PCA use a pilebunker, they have laser melee
So the arm with the pilebunker was added by RaD (hence the emblem on the shoulder side) when the AC was stolen from the PCA
Are the servers down right now or something? I reset my connection thinking the problem was on my end, but everything but AC6 works fine. When I try to start up the game it says "failed to log in." I understand always online for Elden Ring since players can pop in at any time, but the only time you interact with other players is when you go to the Nest. You can play through the entire game without ever speaking to another player, so what's the point of always online?
621 is short, his brain is fried, he's not particularly strong, his genes aren't great, and he got himself into horrific debt as an AC pilot before the game. He's what happens to the Gen 1 ravens who frick their lives up.
how the frick did he managed to kill every ace pilot on rubicon if he was such a low tier street dog then?, I dont think 4th gen augs gave him that much of a power up
I just got that plasma thrower weapon, is it any good? I never see anyone suggest it in any builds. I remember some of the more annoying enemies in that mission with the stealth enemies used it, but I ran some tests with it. The charged version of it seems really difficult to land, the regular attack has a range of like 90 from you, so you have to be right in their face to even connect, and the damage seems pretty shit for anything but taking out standard mooks.
Unless you're on a quad or a tank, then it's S tier.
How does that make a difference? Do those legs change the animation?
Anonymous
You can keep moving while whipping, you don't stand still.
Anonymous
You can keep moving and sliding/flying towards people while you do it
So you create this 90m death zone around your where people will just get humbled by the whip of they dare to close distance
That other anon is a moronic. Use the plasma whip with the wheelchair tank legs. On anything but a biped, the plasma whip has 100% accuracy on the first hit and does a ton of stagger damage. You can combo with it fairly easily. And it's range is not that short. The chainsaw is actually the worst melee weapon, because it is very easy for enemies to slip out of and has shit tracking.
need some help anons, currently in ng+ and i cant, for the life of me, beat fricking ayre.
nothing in this game even came close to giving me this much trouble. maybe its my age (turned 40) but at times in the second phase i cannot process quick enough whatever the frick is even going on.
so just tank through her shit? sure, guess that should work. after watching freaking ongbal beat her like it wasnt shit (ofc he did) https://youtu.be/0RlUAzQJ5RA?feature=shared i just feel like a fricking idiot lol
You need to focus up. She only actually had like 4 attacks in her first phase which can be broken down into two categories: shooting shit at you and going in for a sword hit.
If she shoots some red stuff dodge it and shot back
If she goes for a sword attack try to get around and behind her before it comes out. It's vertical tracking isn't great, remember.
I'm the second phase whenever she dies some anime bullshit use the pillars for cover, otherwise repeat what I said before.
WATCH what she's doing, don't just fly around and dodge randomly like an idiot
first phase isnt the problem for me. but maybe my loadout is, like i was using the last coral fcs and its so off at times.
Just wait for her big ass sword attack, dodge back/jump and shoot twin worm needles
yeah thats the only way to reliably punish her but as i stated, her second phase just overloads my prefrontal cortex (could be my ads but holy shit too much going on at the screen at once)
>so just tank through her shit? sure, guess that should work
Yes. When in doubt, put on tank treads. When your shit is on cooldown just hide behind a pillar.
Remember anon, nothing in this game survives a tank build with Dual Gatlings. Throw in some Sneedles in your shoulder as well
>so just tank through her shit? sure, guess that should work
Yes. When in doubt, put on tank treads. When your shit is on cooldown just hide behind a pillar.
yeah ill give it a go after a smoke. thanks for the input

I did it with zoomermans and vertical missiles on a fast light mech. The missiles are nice because you are gonna be at range catching up a lot and dont need to aim them much.
Boost towards her more often than away. She also punishes dodging in the same direction frequently. Her three hit combo comes from alternating directions. You can evade most of her afterimages by rushing her down. She's going to be in the air a lot, like a LOT a lot, so get used to assault boosting under her where her tracking sucks shit. You can also try the chaff gun to screw over her ability to lock on to you. She has relatively low poise so just go hard on her ACS. You can also use a fire weapon to melt her poise even further - Building up a fire ACS anomaly makes it so she takes far more ACS damage. I beat her with Bad Cook, Earshot, Duckett (same arm as Bad Cook), and the stun baton. Cook her for a bit, do a dash kick when she does a windup, stay close, then pistol and beat her to death. Earshot when she's staggered. You don't have to use what I did - It wasn't easy - But you can exploit her weaknesses and alter your dodge trajectory. Go fast and go hard. You can do it, buddy.
thats also i neat idea. brute forced her just now with dual memelings and dual sneedles but i wanna go for the s-ranking after beating ng++. ill save that info for later, thanks anon.
Got the code?
Its for steam F0DW1LELAZ82
And thanks again to all of the anons giving me input, cheers guys
Eh, that sucks. I liked the look of her ac and its the only one we dont get any parts for? Meh.

Yeah it's pretty gay, I was really looking forward to making a Coral build out of those parts
8 months ago

same.
Hopefully AC: 6X makes us sentient Coral to justify letting us use unmanned frames like the SOL.
since modders already figured out how to add new parts into the game, maybe they'll add those aswell

forgot to add: https://www.nexusmods.com/armoredcore6firesofrubicon/mods/52
if they can put this into the game they should be able to add ayres ac aswell imo
She was way easier to me than fricking Ibis Cel was. Just equip the best shotgun, piledriver, two canons on the back, then constantly sniff her ass. You will do max damage while evading her sword attacks. When she start doing those fly by attacks, just fly up.
She was? Damn, i beat ibis 3th try using the dual harris and cant remember witch back weapon.
But i finally got her, its like from software standart nowadays i guess.. big flashy shit and wait for openings and get punished hard if you dont
Also can anyone clarify if i need to kill malduazu and that other guy going for the allmind route in ng++?? Or is the escort mission the setup?
Meme build with Zimmers, SongBird and Needle is good enough. Just dodge forward when she goes to attack twith the blades, and blast her with the needle from up close when she stops moving for a second. Then fly up on phase 2 and repeat the other steps.
I did this on my first playthrough, and it didn't take me more than 10 minutes of attempts.
I am now on NG+ doing the other route, and trying other non meme builds. I really miss the Zimemrs though
am I the only one who is reminded of the Harpy's singing in some other fantasy game by that wailing lead synth? it was literally in my head the entire time playing these levels. i don't know what game I'm thinking of. dragon's dogma? witcher 3? elden ring? I swear some game has a harpy song that sounds exactly like this.
I have to agree with OP. It's fricking moronic that Michigan gets randomly killed off in the last 1/4th of the story, and we're supposed to believe an elite AC commander just slipped and died from a bad fall off-screen.
They could've at least put him in that mission where you have to kill all the Redgun MTs.
tips for making a decent light/medium build AC? good weapon choices that won't make me a slow bastard?
t. facetanked through the whole game with an unga bunga miniguns/diffusion lasers tank
Start with your core and inside parts, then get good with whatever's available. The higher your boost, the better. Aim for at least 330-350. You'll have to be doing a lot more kicking than you might be comfortable with to build up stagger and damage.
Just use light parts
There's certain breakpoints I don't remember for speed, but I have a close range MELANDER frame with the scudder, pulse blade, 4cell missiles and Morely spread bazooka that goes 330 which is damn strong and very fun to play
>We're basically Walter's last card to play on Rubicon, it all depends on 621 >when asked what happened to the others, he said they died for the mission, to get us here
so then why did my homie start us off in LOADER 4?
You couldn't even spring for a second shoulder weapon?
Are we poor, Walter?
there's no indication Walter is some CEO or military commander with lots cash to spend, seems all of his hounds steals others ID because it's easier to get sponsors and transport that way
Thanks to dafeng there was a conductor shortage, so everyone was scalping good generators. Walter had to settle for taking your other shoulder weapon away because he couldn't risk a burnt coral token miner or overpaying 20,000 COAM to support the energy capacity
>playing with invincible rummy >"well shit it's hard doing the mining ship mission with such a low amount of EN" >check what generator he's using >JOSO
holy frick this guy really was running the worst AC in the game. I don't know what I'll do online.
I don't see anything about balance patches in the note. Only bug fixes. Plus zimmers aren't really problematic in pvp compared to the rest of the shit.
The most cancerous builds are double karasawa tanks or the homosexual missile boats who just hover around and run away when you get close. Imagine being such a homosexual that you play like that.
I hate flamethrower online more than anything. I can't see shit, frick off, i'm just trying out some wonky anime builds, i do not locking for roasting my ass for 5 minutes for nothing.
Honestly the coolest challenge run I’ve seen so far. Too bad he did have to cheat with that little booster usage after the jump platform. Now I really wish weapon arms were in from the start.
That and extensions, which looks like are on their minds since tons of arms have obvious extension points where checking in game you can tell they aren’t thruster ports since nothing ever comes out there and the shoulder thrusters come from other points. I hope they make a sequel in a reasonable time and I hope they don’t disappoint.
Game ain't gonna live long online anyway. First because it's barebone secondly because of homosexuals like you.
I see no point playing when some aids riddled Black person starts hugging the top of the skybox raining missiles and abusing EN generator exploits to stay up there infinitely
i haven't even touched online outside of dueling with a buddy, maybe i should take my flying boat into random games if it makes people seethe this much
It's just making people leave and emptying the game even more. Go on maybe when this shit online is finally deserted fromslop will wake the frick up and be forced to make it good, or at least functional.

Do you join lobbies, take a peak at their lobby, and leave if they're clearly a homosexual?

You can check people's AC in the lobby. Isn't everyone checking out before clicking on "ready"?
Too viable and easy to use. Just slap FCS-G2/P10 and 4 rockets and you do not have to worry about your arms recoil control/firearm specialization/your generator energy weap adj. ect.
You just lock on and fire everything your got and back off, repeat till you win.
It's not as fun to play especially if you on receiving end.
Outsource it's gets countered if they get in your face, that why most rocket boats fly high above.
I did a 3 missile + plasma whip wheelchair build and it worked surprisingly well.
The whip can be used as a shield so It's not completely inferior to pure missile builds at range, and it has the option of smacking people who get too close.
Stuttering in my game after update became harder. Pretty sure it's anti cheat or denuvo.
It's mostly goes away if i switch fullscreen mode and back to boarderless.
Why are only japanese people playing online? You're telling me the game was successful but 80% of the players I check the profile of on ps4 are japanese.
Those steam spy estimates are grossly inflated. They said Elden ring sold 20mil on pc, then ages later Bandai said Elden ring sold 20mil total across all 5 platforms.
No way. Famitsu just reported 147k for AC6 this month, and a similar number was reported last month for PS4/5, so probably 400k to 700k I reckon across all. I think AC6 sold just fine, made a profit, but it was never going to be something the casuals could latch onto. AC6 is unironically for the hardcore.
brother, that's Japan only.
also, peak players on steam exceeded that of Sekiro by like 50%, so the game is probably on a trajectory to sell 5 mil in a year like Sekiro did.
Can anybody guess what SNES kusoge I'm cosplaying as? It might be jank and objectively not a well designed game, but I love it dearly. Game fricking rules.
I still couldn't figure out how to dodge ALLMIND's melee swipes, especially on a tank build. It felt like a DPS check and I just went with the hard hitters to take him down before he does more of those melee swipes.
Anyone else has been messing around with the Ling-Tai generator?, I’ve been having quite a bit of success with it, but I’d be interested in hearing what you guys made with it or any tips you’ve got to build ACs with it.
It's crazy to me that with Elden Ring I had years of hype and buildup and expectations and ended up loving that game a lot
Then here comes AC6 where I had never played a previous entry and only knew it was a mech game, and I end up having way more fun with it than Elden Ring and considering it the genuinely superior game
anon please go play some of the earlier installments of the series, they are genuinely some of the best bideo games out there
play silent line, last raven, for answer and verdict day
you can emulate them without fault and they are worth it
I'm using it for missions, not multiplayer. Fromsoft can do whatever they want to it in the PvP as long as they don't make it suck in the campaign. Same thing with missile builds, they're fun in missions.
What if it doesn't have a subtitle? What if it's just called "Armored Core 6"? Fires of Rubicon already took the subtitle, and From doesn't have the money to have two games with subtitles in them.
Honestly with the plot point of Arquebus yoinking PCA tech, they could very easily say “oh here are some experimental parts meant to retrofit LC/HC’s designs onto existing AC models.
Plotchads I beseech you some questions: >Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive? >Why are groups of MTs in the beginning of the game so sure they can kill you when they die in literal seconds? >Why does the PCA use LCs and HCs instead of ACs? >What the frick are LCs and HCs? They're bipedal mechs, but they're not ACs? >Why does the PCA just frick off after the ice worm? They're the galactic government aren't they? They should have infinite troops no?
The last question pls bear in mind I'm only in NG+ so no heavy sboilers bls :DD
>Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive?
Yep. ACs are not just expensive, but people who can actually pilot them well are extremely rare and expensive as well. They are something you just don't waste on everyday patrol and security, or even in most warfare. Larger and more powerful MTs, like the Tetrapods, can challenge ACs though. >>Why are groups of MTs in the beginning of the game so sure they can kill you when they die in literal seconds?
Canonically you're supposed to be in a not-too-impressive AC that wasn't even primarily designed for combat, and most AC pilots are not nearly as good as 621 >Why does the PCA use LCs and HCs instead of ACs?
They prefer to use proprietary "in-house" technology so as to not be dependent on, or have things leaked to, corporations >What the frick are LCs and HCs? They're bipedal mechs, but they're not ACs?
LC stands for Light Cavalry and fills the role of an MT basically. HC is Heavy Cavalry and their AC equivalent, though some outperform ACs even. >>Why does the PCA just frick off after the ice worm? They're the galactic government aren't they? They should have infinite troops no?
Their entire fleet gets seized by Arquebus, it's a massive blow to them. That entire part of the story is basically the corps coming together in an alliance to completely cripple PCA operations on Rubicon by hitting them at multiple fronts - you're just at the Iceworm battle so that's all you see
>most AC pilots are not nearly as good as 621
To drive home this point I always remind people that while Iguazu is a meme on here to us as the player, in-universe he is Rank 5 of a major corporation's Elite AC Squad and would be considered a top tier Ace from almost anybody else's perspective
>LC stands for Light Cavalry and fills the role of an MT basically.
LCs are more like GP-ACs from the first Armored Core, shittier mass produced AC "equivalents" used by a specific faction.
Yeah you're right, they're definitely a cut-above MTs. I'm just saying they're the "smaller" unit for the PCA
PCA in general eclipses its peers
I would say it goes
Really Good ACs > HCs > most ACs > LCs > MTs
I'll try to answer the best I can >>Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive?
Yes, AC's are really realyl expensive. MT's are massproduced, ergo they are a lot cheaper and in sheer numbers they can do damage. >>Why are groups of MTs in the beginning of the game so sure they can kill you when they die in literal seconds?
full of themselves. You also hear a lot of enemies pissing their pants when they see that an AC is coming for them. >>Why does the PCA use LCs and HCs instead of ACs?
I think the PCA uses them because it is their stuff and they don't buy AC parts or other parts from the corpos. But I am not certain. >>What the frick are LCs and HCs? They're bipedal mechs, but they're not ACs?
Heavy Cavalry and Light Cavalry. Imagine them as heavy and light tanks irl and you should get roughly the same. >>Why does the PCA just frick off after the ice worm? They're the galactic government aren't they? They should have infinite troops no?
They get overpowered and have to withdraw. Arquebus steals their tech and occupie their bases. Sure, they could blast everything with their satellites. Why they don't do this is unknown for me.
>Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive?

the mission with the sea spider talks about how you are now so high up that you are within reach of the satellite
im not so sure it can reach down to the surface (for whatever reason)

Seconding the notion of lasers not reaching the surface: Consider everyday lasers on earth that are used to engrave metal or something - they have limited range.
But that's due to surface curvature. Anything too distant to see is just over the horizon. Sure the earth itself getting in the way would be enough to block lasers, but we're talking about a satellite that's straight up, negating the curve effect.

Anonymous
I'm no engineer anon but lemme put it this way: If you used a laser used for embedding or carving materials, mounted it in space and pointed it at something on earth, it wouldn't reach.
Anonymous
I still don't understand what would stop them from reaching. Some satellites have lamps mounted, and you can track them in the night sky with your bare eyes. That light gets down to the surface just fine, why wouldn't the laser's light make it too?
Anonymous
Seeing a bright light from the surface of a planet is one thing, but having enough tech and energy to beam that light into a destructive force down 1000s of kilometers is a different story.
Anonymous
NTA but I'm pretty sure the satellites are made for orbital defense to shoot down oncoming ships, not orbital bombardment, at least if they're the same ones from the big flame ending.
Anonymous
>I still don't understand what would stop them from reaching
the death beam gets diffused by the atmosphere which is why it only works in space or when the altitude is high enough like in the sea spider mission
the reason the satellite is there is to blockade the planet
Divergence and atmosphere. First is the beam losing focus - it keeps the same power but scatters it over a larger area, spreading out the heat. Second is just air getting in the way.
>Sure, they could blast everything with their satellites. Why they don't do this is unknown for me.
BRANCH hacked the satellites at some point in the story, it's why Arquebus didn't use them either despite Ayre showing they worked.
To add onto what everyone else already said, there's usually only a couple dozen/low hundred ACs operating in any given conflict, while there are potentially tens of thousands of MTs.
With fromslope? The company only throwing p2p in every games barely functioning and with zero options for players?
lol
LMAO
frompiggies buy the games no matter how rushed and unfinished the online is in their games. Why bother?
Indeed you don't like facing the truth just like all fromslopoids. Keep throwing money at them, eventually you'll go from p2p games to... still p2p games but you'll have an emblem with a pig on it in pvp to show how supportive you are towards being abused and taken for a fool.
Really hope this game is crashing and burning regarding sales when I go online and only get fricking nips no matter what lobby I pick, and when I go to network settings and pick my geographical location there's nobody because the default setting is set to global.
Hope bamco trashes that IP and force the hacks at fromsoft to only shit out soulborne games.
My minor gripe with multiple endings is one of them will be canon whenever a direct sequel comes out.
>Fires of Raven
It's a safe canon ending because it completely eliminates Coral as a mcguffin for future AC games, ergo more freedom for different stories. I favor this ending.
>Liberator of Rubicon
If the story wants to use more of Coral as a mcguffin so more red pew pew lasers.
>Alea Iacta Es
Not sure the story will do well in a super high sci-fi fantasy with the human race being wiped out, and will deal with ayy lmaos, talking ACs, and augmented humans.
We don't actually know what happened to mankind in the ALLMIND ending, or if it happened to all of them. They could have a pretty easy skub plotline about Coralgay ascended humans vs. nonCoralgays.
Realistically the expansion's going to follow from the Liberation or ALLMIND ending, since they'd just make a new continuity if they were going to drop Coral.
>whenever a direct sequel comes out
armored core doesnt really do direct sequels
There are like three distinct continuities and they made a direct sequelokay, mostly expansions for every game before.
Liberator is the safest bet.
Coral shenanigans is the distinguishing trait of AC6's setting. Without it, we just go back to the >War and technology is hell, corporations le bad and the human condition is wack innit?
narratives of the first five games or so. Coral gives AC6 a more distinct fantastical sci-fi edge.
The existence of sentient gasoline tulpas also adds a nice twist to the "what it means to live/be human" themes the series occasionally dabbles in.
As much as I'd like Liberation to be the canon ending I feel like it's going to be Cast the Die. It's too obviously standalone-expansion bait. >you've changed the entire world and the course of human evolution! >no we're not going to explain how you have... yet :^)
Liberator is the safest bet.

Release is the easiest ending to follow up on. The next game won't take place on Rubicon so you have coral now in other places in the galaxy and a new sentient coral faction to replace RLF. Corporations always gonna be corporations and evil AIs will always be evil AIs.
Its too out there for AC. A bit too fricking weird with the totally not human instrumentality shit it tries pulling.
Just keeping Coral around is plenty fine for more stories to tell in the AC6 continuity. Liberator of Rubicon keeps the wacky space scifi shit at a reasonable level.
I'd agree, but the thing is that they don't spell out it's the same Coral symbiosis ending from Eureka 7. Cast the Die doesn't explain anything that just happened besides: >you helped humanity evolve good job :^*~~ >also coral is everywhere now
Meaning they could follow it up in any way imaginable, and on another planet if they wanted.
You don't know how much I wish I could ban myself from this gay shit to never have the urge to play it again. Once it stopped working for a full day on my side and I was at least shielded from this pure aids.
No, he never deploys in that mission. You can hear him on the radio for most of it, then suddenly by the end one of his lieutenants mentions that he took a tumble and died getting into his AC.
But don't we fight his AC? And after we kill it, redguns in coms say how he made the job easier for them to finish us off or something like that.
Don't tell me I imagined it.
He lived talking shit to others and doesn't want any badass accolades on his burial.
Michigan was a man who called everyone a homosexual, and he wants people to call him a homosexual when he finally kicks the bucket.
I just want the arena to be more involved again. Logistically, it being data simulations makes more sense, but I miss how in older games, they're real combat and some Ravens would shittalk you if you beat them in the Arena.
Until the final ending where they gain the abillity to control AC bodies like Ayre. At that point they can probably communicate using the computer system.
How come sometimes pilots die instantly with their AC and others they're like "darn it, I'll get you next time".
They really needed some pilot pod ejection animation to make that shit more clear and consistent.
>Dynasty Warriors.
I loved this in the 4th game: They retreat/die with a last sentence. The higher officers fall on their backs, while the others die face down.
What the frick does augmentation even entail.
Do you get a chip shoved up your butthole? Do you get turned into a cyborg? Its not like you need to be augmented to be an AC pilot too.
In 6 it's brain surgery to make your mind more specialized for piloting an AC. In first gen there was something analogous that was known as "human plus" and was even more invasive.
I imagine they made hi-tech flight/pilot suits for that.
In terms of internal logic and consistency for fantasy tech, if giant robots work in the realm of physics there, they must've at least made pilot suits that won't turn the pilots into paste in their wienerpits.
I like to imagine the armored core of the Armored Core has gyroscopic stabilizing mechanisms to absorb most of the Gs, and it's why they can move so much faster than MTs. Some of the augmentation effects also let you cope with it better.
The Ephemera core says that being in the wienerpit is a painful experience so I'm also going to declare myself objectively correct based off that one piece of information.
wienerpit in in some free floating liquid and has stabilizers that push it in the opposite direction of the boosts, minimizing the Gs that are felt.
Plus anti high-G meds and a special pilot suit.
Whatever it needs to be?
Body part replacements, coral injections, 5g brain chips, whatever you think will let you perform better/not die from combat damage.
There are 10 fricking generations of augmentations, so whatever is even the line between this one and the next one is anyone's guess. Gen10 dudes seem to be the most coherent.
If we're taking into account the depiction of Human plus in that one AC manga, it pretty much turns you into a living computer. It also permanently stunts your body into the same growth level it had when you had your operation. The human plus in that manga was a e-girl perpetually stuck in like a 12 year old body until she gets killed in combat, or until her body eventually fails and shuts down from the totally unsafe modifications.
It's probably become a lot safer than the original Human PLUS if we consider Gen 1s as being the direct analogue with their 10% survival rate. No way homosexuals like Snail would be getting it done otherwise.
It looks like it's kind of a mix, because you have Walter and Iguazu having experimental surgeries pushed onto them, meanwhile the Vesper homosexuals are sacrificing dozens of RLF prisoners to prepare and refine their own augmentation surgeries.
I did everything except for 100% S ranking all missions. Should i? Not like i get anything for it but achievement. Also conditions for S rank are different for every mission, you never know what game want from you, speedrun mission or kill every living things on the map.
IS-
IS THAT ANOTHER AC APPROACHING ME? C-COULD THAT BE AN IBIS SERIES? AIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE ZIMMERMAN YOU FRICKING SHOTGUNS WHERE ARE YOU WHEN I NEED YOU
Just do all NG+ missions in general. The first NG++ branching points are the missions to escort the mining ship instead of destroying it, and to disappear the PCA inspection at BAWS arsenal no. 2 instead of investigating it.
I stomped him first go on NG with a burst rifle, grenade launcher, missiles and vertical plasma missiles by just staying in the air as much as possible. Most of his attacks can't do shit if you're above him.
Like a lot of early bosses he becomes an even bigger joke once you get access to better gear but that's how I got him with only the early game stuff.
Be agressive and learn to combo.
Stay close to him so he can aim the big laser on his back and when he does the stomp, dash toward him and go under.
Songbird+misslies+pile bunker+shooting with a SMG = it gets posture broken for 10 seconds
Then assault armor it, do another melee and shoot another songbird while its getting up. Repeat till victory.
Also in phase 2 go up with him and shoot him, if you run out of energy and start falling melee, kick and shoot the songbird that keeps you in the air for a few extra second and the energy will still recharge.
Because I keep getting close and he keeps trying to jump away to shoot his big laser, wasting his time and missing anyway.
Also most of his other ranged attacks are not dangerous, I finished this attempt with 60% AP and zero heals used.
Switching to a slower build after one around there (high 350s) fricked me up for a while because there's so much shit you just don't have to quick dodge, you can just move out of the way. Constantly got tagged by shit because now I have to actually dodge it.
) and I got it first try.
Though I did run out of bullets near the end and had to carefully kill the last 25% of Michigan's AP with just well timed grendes then mop up the last 6-7 MTs while near death.
Energy weapons and killing the copters that drop the shielded ACs. If you can't kill the adds fast enough, kite Michigan and kill them so that you can focus on the big man himself.
i was in mostly the same position as you (only played the ps1 games) and with advice from an AC autist bro i just jumped in with 6, it feels like a good entry point
from what i've been told you wont lose much by just jumping straight in with AC6, but if you have the patience it's probably ultimately best to play the series in order so you can catch the little nods and references towards older games
What's a decent set up with BAWS/non main corpo parts?
I'm trying full BASHO and I'm just trying missiles + Dizzy grenade launcher.
So it's just baiting guys with missile spam then hitting them while in the air with a large AOE
what's your preferred expansion for pvp?
for me, it's pulse armor
assault armor is cool but the windup makes it meh tier for pvp
the shield is lol lmao
terminal armor feels gay cause it either just extends the fight pointlessly for a few seconds if you're losing or almost guarantees a cheap win if its a close one
>anything that isn't a shotgun,minigun or rocket sucks dick
How are you people meeming this as some kind of second coming, the game is fun but holy frick this team doesn't know how to Ballance shit.
I've been testing things on the "defend mobile mining rig" Ng++ mission and nothing compares to the shotty missile boat build I made.
Please you frickers suggest SOMETHING, anything that's a fun light/med mech build that isn't shit compared to the gear I've had since the first third of ng1.
Scudders suck, laser pistols suck(fun to use though), haven't tried artillery style builds yet, next thing I'm gonna try is a low ammo high DMG style bot, but nothing fricking compares to the wheelchair, this game is massively unbalanced.
Laser blade + pulse blade + Harris + explosive weapon of choice is fun. Note that testing shit on Defend Mobile Mining Ship is not gonna give an accurate picture since the wheel thingys are super weak against explosive weapons, you're gonna think only missiles and grenade launchers are viable if you only test there. Scudders kick ass against most bosses
Those dual burst SMGs that looks like AKs without stocks are great, especially after the buff.
They literally do ~4K damage on a posture broken boss, almost as much as a songbird shot.
Completely deleted IBIS with this setup of breaking her then using grenades and even had 1 heal left.
I'd really want to know how deep the rabbit hole goes before the thread ends. If it's related to the stalker(s) or if it's just because of the weather and how bad my connection is.
>planet can clearly support life
>can't be assed to import fricking cows or some shit
No fricking wonder some guy chose to tang humanity.
>import animals
>they dissolve into the coral stream
>half of the coral ghosts are now furries
yeah no thanks
But Coral intelligence mutates on its own, they're not just dead people.
>make contact with the coral
>instead of it being ayre it's a cow from some rubiconian milk farm
>all you can hear is it's constant mooing
I think mealworms are underutilized. Should've made one of them a mutated giant coral addicted one we fight as a boss.
We need more biological enemies. I think it's a good opportunity for From to have Godzilla-style Kaijus for the series.
Or monsters like the ones in lost planet.
Oh right, I forgot about this game. The first one was a pretty good arcade shooter, it even featured an ice worm, except that it was biological this time.
This game really needed at least 3-4 missions againt a giant bugs with a huge queen at the end of the mission tree.
Bring back biosensors
>I think mealworms are underutilized. Should've made one of them a mutated giant coral addicted one we fight as a boss.
Anon, you unknowingly just described Lost Planet 1 and 2.
I think it would've been inappropriate since Ice Worm already handled the kaiju arc.
>I don't even remember seeing trees,
You have trees in the first mission anon, you already forgot the first area of the game in the snow? Also it's funny guns have so much impact you blow trees away just by firing them and being close to trees.
I hope the dlc will bring some wildlife and nature, like seem in this pic.
I thought it was snow at first too, but I feel like it's probably ash from the fires. They don't actually specify anywhere though, as far as I'm aware.
FromSoft already did a field of ashes (Gael's arena from Dark Souls 3) and it looks nothing like the first level.
That's a snow field anon
True, it'd probably be more grey than white.
Anon it's snow, look at the lake at the dam and the icicles on some buildings.
That looks like it's rendered in-engine, so maybe they already have it ready to go for a future update?
why the frick would you waste money importing cows when you already have cattle that thrives on your planet unique resource?
>the rubiconians let them feed on coral
i thought the rubiconians knew coral was alive, or at least the RLF
Just dolmayan
Dolmayan's coral wife literally tells him
>huff as much coral as you want my dude, there will always be more
Where did you hear this? I have all the text logs but don't recall this
Is that really what mealworms look like? What the frick.
The coral mutated giant version, yes
>Rubiconians happily eat this shit and get high off of its coral dregs
There is no humanity left to be preserved at this point. Coral Release was the right choice after all.
You mean real life mealworms? Nah, that looks more like a tartigrade or however it's spelled.
Mealworms look like grubs
You vill eat ze mealworms, rubigoynian
doesn't one of the Dozers talk about eating the contaminated mealworms in one of the logs?
how the frick do they eat that?
Nah, they eat Coral naturally. It's why they're upset that the PCA is withholding it.
Walter says those are swollen to immense proportions, they're actually only the size of a large cow normally.
It still is. Iguazu got his augmentation surgery because he went into debt.
>only
Desperately, mealworms are about the only viable food source on Rubicon. The mealworms eat Coral to grow. The log is a guy going “don’t give the worms the coral, gimme gimme”
can clearly support life
Aside from human structures the planet is mostly completely barren.
There are trees all over the place in a lot of the early missions, they just vanish when you go to the ice field because it's a field of ice.
It's all spruce trees, that leave in the frigid norths, they don't live on arable land.
>We can make big mealworms if we overfeed them magic red space bacteria
>Can support life
Every location we see is either a barren tundra or a rocky desert, which of those seem like they're prime real estate for farmland?
Just finished getting the Plat by S ranking every mission. Used my story build for it and havnt swapped off a part since post NG Ibis. Had loads of fun but I’m sad it’s over
AMA
get all 50 data logs next if you havent already, im surprised that wasnt an achievement/trophy
I got that thanks to a good pal informing me it not not only exists but has an emblem attached
nice, now you get to join the club where you wish there was more. DLC soon hopefully
Absolutely there. I love the game but not having a “reason” to play it hurts
You can seethe in the pvp now. Or do challenge runs with """"""invincible""""'' rummy mech.
is there a menu to view all the data logs you've found?
Yes. Display license menu. Strangely it's in there.
Press triangle (on PS, dunno bout pc, but the menu where you change emblem and pilot name. choose 'archives'
How to check this? I think I missed some.
Check mission replay. If it says pending that means there's still some that you missed
That's just for combat logs, even if you're missing data logs it'll show as complete in mission replay as long as you've gotten all the combat ones
That's for the combat logs that increase your hunter rank, not the hidden data logs which are just for lore. G4's corpse in Wallclimber for instance (how the frick did he die there, G5 ditched him like a b***h sure, but he's a tank with zimmerman and songbirds, come on).
>but he's a tank with zimmerman and songbirds, come on).
621 is just that much better than everyone else
He was fighting five tetrapods at once due to Iguazu's moronation, and only one's left by the time we go into the mission.
Oh those
I have no idea then. In that jailbreak mission there's one where the big tetrapod is at underground too
Did you get the Omniscient emblem though, for getting all data logs? You don't get a trophy for that
>Got the Chainsaw
holy fug, this thing is nasty. The fact it doubles as a shield is icing on the cake
>The fact it doubles as a shield is icing on the cake
WHAT?
When you keep the button pressed?
>The fact it doubles as a shield
Hold the phone, what?
When you hold the charge of the chainsaw or the whip it also works as a weak block.
Plasma Whip also does the same thing when charged and it spins, and you can cancel the spin/charge by pressing Y/Triangle too so you don't even need to commit.
>Goyslop, the mecha
Why'd you turn your AC into a white girl's macbook?
Is quad with gatlings and 1 songbird + 1 earshot ethical?
>allmind got taken over like a b***h
>"y-you are a failure iguazu"
what the frick is the context that image? Benadryl the anti-itch medication?
Benadryl overdoses make you hallucinate, and also make your body's temperature regulation go nuts, which can genuinely just kill you by overheating.
>no one else knows every member of the redguns including the guy at the start who's license you can't steal and the MT's have names based on bodies of water
in armored core as in life it's good to have a plan
which is why I go into both totally blind
I just consider that this entire plane of existence and me cannot exist without some kind of grand purpose that a superior intelligence is aiming for. So I do nothing to frustrate him until he gets so sick of it he's forced to manifest itself in front of me or just kill me out of spite.
If we all go meet life and do nothing surely something is going to happen.
You fool, your doing nothing was the plan all along
ya just can't win
You can't fool me into doing something by pretending that doing nothing was the thing you planned me to do since the very beginning. I know they're panicking up there.
Aha, you responded to me exactly as we intended you to! All is going according to plan.
>meet
neet life*
Post your AC.
nice, we have the same weapons except I use the Explosives Thrower on the left arm
and my mech is built to look like a blocky/redguns style thing
based one arm colored differently from the whole ac color set not being red
based bluebro
Blue is good. Had to make the boosters fit
I try. Like the c wep build a lot
I spent a long time trying out a bunch of different weapon and part combinations and I think this is the one true build for me. It's strong enough to hold out against metaslime if I play perfectly, and really adaptable to fight a wide variety of different builds.
Patch notes btw. Bugfixes and a couple new QoL MP functionalities
https://www.bandainamcoent.com/news/armored-core-vi-fires-of-rubicon-patch-notes-v-1-03
based device color - had roughly the same. My paint now doesn't fit, but I want to go back with these dark purple lights, it looks amazing.
Here's my C weapon. He is quick.
Based meta fighter.
Are you strong?
This one is still a WIP, I only need the legs and head hence why I painted them differently.
Kino
That somehow looks really good thanks to the colors and just how they're separated
Ranking AC: Sweetwater.
Just don't get fingerprints on it.
That's cool and now I want to copy it. But it would be stealing. Well I'll pick brown/reddish instead of blue and call mine "Pepsi".
Do bubbles instead of stars, make a nice fresh guy.
I love this game most because I read AC as ACK and it makes me smile.
finished NG+ cuck coral destroyer, 4th try ayre, eh, feels like cheating. must be because I finally hard locked on.
don't think I'll do the last ending, stagger is gay.
Wendigo, on the prowl
Man that's really good coloring. Do you use that for pvp?
Sometimes yeah the build is completely fricked it's so bizarre hard to make work, gives me, myself, mental damage
>good coloring
That's bone.
It's very cool anon, but that's nothing. Look at this.
They keep saying my name wrong..
I've got a good amount to dump I'll keep em coming
Heh, it looks a bit like Kyubey.
Come play with me!~
?si=8Ssyla7YJWm6bnnm
neat color. Is that 'coral red'?
Yeah vaguely, I just eyeballed it
nice. It's been a long time since I saw someone post Spider Jerusalem
Did a re-read of it recently made me pick up a bunch of reaction pic
You won't get away!
?si=dcsYNS6fP0S6GcyU
THE INVINCIBLE HERO HAS ARRIVED
?si=WfYipQxsFD9XKQGH
Stampede AWAKEN

Posting a few.
This got me through NG+ and ++
with ease or was it effort? nice AC btw Alba-bro
Generally with ease. Some missions are a problem though and require some changeup to loadout or just mindset with how to tackle the objective (betray the Redguns comes to mind).
I use the exact same loadout but my AC has reverse joint legs and plasma missiles.
AC name: Max Pain
Still working on the decals and stuff.
Glorious sunshine

TO SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH FROM ANY ALIEN ATTACK
lel'd
Pulse Blade has become my favorite weapon in the game, it's just so versatile and fun to use.
>butt
BUTTA
pulse dagger better
>one red arm
It's not my fault they made the Redguns so cool. Ignore that isn't a gun.
None of the redguns have a red arm?
I know, but it thematically fits.
>he doesn't add visual storytelling to his ACs
Why would the PCA use a pilebunker, they have laser melee
So the arm with the pilebunker was added by RaD (hence the emblem on the shoulder side) when the AC was stolen from the PCA
Why would it still have PCA identifications?
Fear factor
Post your AC
Just lose the stupid meme arm.
Nice OC donut steel... the same as every other fricking meme armed homosexual.
You look like this, I'm stealing the idea
kek, hope I see it improved, somewhere in any AC6 thread
Don't worry I'm on it, you made me turn my game back on I was about to go to bed
Love them AC grunts.
Is that supposed to be a graze?
Yep.
Do these knee stickers look moronic?
I want some DPS but the goddamn machinguns/gatlings are shit.
>beat NG++
>got all weapons and parts
>S-ranked every mission
>got nothing else to do
Should I do some challenge runs or something?
beat the entire game with the default LOADER 4
canonically, that's what 621 did
are you as badass as the real 621?
Was actually thinking of doing a 617 run (the setup found in the story trailer)
also good
Go to the Nest and stomp some players.
now you move on to other games anon, you already squeezed AC6 on everything it had to offer.
Any recommended builds for doing S rank stuff? Speed or power, interested in both.
Dual gatlings and dual stun needles. Use the arms with the highest recoil control so your gatlings fire straight
I figured that would be the case though I know gatlings chew through ammo costs. Any suggestions for a light mech that's good for S ranking?
Are the servers down right now or something? I reset my connection thinking the problem was on my end, but everything but AC6 works fine. When I try to start up the game it says "failed to log in." I understand always online for Elden Ring since players can pop in at any time, but the only time you interact with other players is when you go to the Nest. You can play through the entire game without ever speaking to another player, so what's the point of always online?
What? I can perfectly play offline. I take it it's a PC only thing. You're sure you can't play the game offline?
Anon you press “ok” or “cancel” instead of “retry” and game launches in offline mode.
Every souls game works like this, none of Fromsoft’s games are always online.
>This one is... functional, but don't expect much more.
What the frick did he mean by this?
621 is short, his brain is fried, he's not particularly strong, his genes aren't great, and he got himself into horrific debt as an AC pilot before the game. He's what happens to the Gen 1 ravens who frick their lives up.
He's just like me! When do I get to be shoved in a mech for a suicide mission?
how the frick did he managed to kill every ace pilot on rubicon if he was such a low tier street dog then?, I dont think 4th gen augs gave him that much of a power up
It is called Plot Armor.
I just got that plasma thrower weapon, is it any good? I never see anyone suggest it in any builds. I remember some of the more annoying enemies in that mission with the stealth enemies used it, but I ran some tests with it. The charged version of it seems really difficult to land, the regular attack has a range of like 90 from you, so you have to be right in their face to even connect, and the damage seems pretty shit for anything but taking out standard mooks.
which one? nebula? I'm experimenting with it myself after giving up on linear rifles
No no, the left arm energy whip thing. I do like Nebula though, great gun other than the low ammo.
oh, no that thing sucks ass. worst melee weapon in the game
I think the whip is good if you use it with tetra legs.
How does that make a difference? Do those legs change the animation?
You can keep moving while whipping, you don't stand still.
You can keep moving and sliding/flying towards people while you do it
So you create this 90m death zone around your where people will just get humbled by the whip of they dare to close distance
Unless you're on a quad or a tank, then it's S tier.
That other anon is a moronic. Use the plasma whip with the wheelchair tank legs. On anything but a biped, the plasma whip has 100% accuracy on the first hit and does a ton of stagger damage. You can combo with it fairly easily. And it's range is not that short. The chainsaw is actually the worst melee weapon, because it is very easy for enemies to slip out of and has shit tracking.
need some help anons, currently in ng+ and i cant, for the life of me, beat fricking ayre.
nothing in this game even came close to giving me this much trouble. maybe its my age (turned 40) but at times in the second phase i cannot process quick enough whatever the frick is even going on.
tank treads, stacked AP, dual gatlings and the biggest missile clusters you can put on your shoulders
so just tank through her shit? sure, guess that should work. after watching freaking ongbal beat her like it wasnt shit (ofc he did) https://youtu.be/0RlUAzQJ5RA?feature=shared i just feel like a fricking idiot lol
first phase isnt the problem for me. but maybe my loadout is, like i was using the last coral fcs and its so off at times.
yeah thats the only way to reliably punish her but as i stated, her second phase just overloads my prefrontal cortex (could be my ads but holy shit too much going on at the screen at once)
>so just tank through her shit? sure, guess that should work
Yes. When in doubt, put on tank treads. When your shit is on cooldown just hide behind a pillar.
also look at the japs doing neat emblems again
yeah ill give it a go after a smoke. thanks for the input
Got the code?
You need to focus up. She only actually had like 4 attacks in her first phase which can be broken down into two categories: shooting shit at you and going in for a sword hit.
If she shoots some red stuff dodge it and shot back
If she goes for a sword attack try to get around and behind her before it comes out. It's vertical tracking isn't great, remember.
I'm the second phase whenever she dies some anime bullshit use the pillars for cover, otherwise repeat what I said before.
WATCH what she's doing, don't just fly around and dodge randomly like an idiot
Just wait for her big ass sword attack, dodge back/jump and shoot twin worm needles
Remember anon, nothing in this game survives a tank build with Dual Gatlings. Throw in some Sneedles in your shoulder as well
I did it with zoomermans and vertical missiles on a fast light mech.
Its for steam F0DW1LELAZ82
And thanks again to all of the anons giving me input, cheers guys
Forgot to ask: why dont we get the parts of ayres ac? or does it unlock somewhere else?
You don't get the SOL model anywhere, not even in the true ending where ALLMIND uses the same model
Maybe if there is a DLC
Eh, that sucks. I liked the look of her ac and its the only one we dont get any parts for? Meh.
Yeah it's pretty gay, I was really looking forward to making a Coral build out of those parts
same.
since modders already figured out how to add new parts into the game, maybe they'll add those aswell
forgot to add: https://www.nexusmods.com/armoredcore6firesofrubicon/mods/52
if they can put this into the game they should be able to add ayres ac aswell imo
You can get a smaller Ibis frame for beating Walter.
yeah i got the fires and liberator ending but its kinda weird that you get rustys ac and walters but not ayres.
Hopefully AC: 6X makes us sentient Coral to justify letting us use unmanned frames like the SOL.
Thanks, buddy.
I beat her souls style with a shield on left hand, assault boosting all the time and blocking the swords
Zimmermans plus vertical missiles like the other anon said. It destroys anything.
Use the core explosion too.

As someone who played AC4 and ACV, I'm surprised how fast these updates are coming.
Just minor bug fixes.
Sad. Was hoping for some balance adjustment. Buff my institute laser shoulder homing laser missles. Why do they look so cool but suck so much?
You better be only kicking online.
For me it's https://youtu.be/5aYKmbWD7vk?si=6-H7W71vwfESv5np
I love Carlas theme
But for ME it is:
am I the only one who is reminded of the Harpy's singing in some other fantasy game by that wailing lead synth? it was literally in my head the entire time playing these levels. i don't know what game I'm thinking of. dragon's dogma? witcher 3?
Fricking Arquebus banana peels
Well, it happens. Sherman died in a car crash.
Honestly, I think Balam might've won if Michigan survived that fall. Real shame.
>Can leave spectator mode and go back to the multiplayer general lobby room
finally
>Fixed a bug that caused certain enemies or enemy actions to get stuck on terrain during the mission “Intercept the Redguns”.
FRICKING FINALLY
man quads are so busted
>Alpha Arms/Legs/Head
>Tetralegs
>2 Laser Rifles + 2 Laser Cannon
I'm deleting all MTs from 400 meters away
>fixed wrong damage scaling making the PB-033M ASHMEAD PILE BUNKER do only half of the intended damage
Well shit, I thought it was already powerful, but now it's going to be even more cancerous when used online.
Frick anyone using this weapon.
> getting mad at fake patch notes you yourself made up
take your meds 621, please.
tips for making a decent light/medium build AC? good weapon choices that won't make me a slow bastard?
t. facetanked through the whole game with an unga bunga miniguns/diffusion lasers tank
Start with your core and inside parts, then get good with whatever's available. The higher your boost, the better. Aim for at least 330-350. You'll have to be doing a lot more kicking than you might be comfortable with to build up stagger and damage.
man, that's a good looking AC
Just use light parts
There's certain breakpoints I don't remember for speed, but I have a close range MELANDER frame with the scudder, pulse blade, 4cell missiles and Morely spread bazooka that goes 330 which is damn strong and very fun to play
new patch dropped.. zimms have been obliterated...

What's *NB?
Requesting that Guntank congratulations art please.
Bless you, Anon!
kino
>We're basically Walter's last card to play on Rubicon, it all depends on 621
>when asked what happened to the others, he said they died for the mission, to get us here
so then why did my homie start us off in LOADER 4?
You couldn't even spring for a second shoulder weapon?
Are we poor, Walter?
there's no indication Walter is some CEO or military commander with lots cash to spend, seems all of his hounds steals others ID because it's easier to get sponsors and transport that way
>lots cash to spend
I'm not askin for much here man, just something on my left shoulder
anything
Thanks to dafeng there was a conductor shortage, so everyone was scalping good generators. Walter had to settle for taking your other shoulder weapon away because he couldn't risk a burnt coral token miner or overpaying 20,000 COAM to support the energy capacity
>playing with invincible rummy
>"well shit it's hard doing the mining ship mission with such a low amount of EN"
>check what generator he's using
>JOSO
holy frick this guy really was running the worst AC in the game. I don't know what I'll do online.
Whats gonna happen to the meta now that zimmies got nerfed
I don't see anything about balance patches in the note. Only bug fixes. Plus zimmers aren't really problematic in pvp compared to the rest of the shit.
The most cancerous builds are double karasawa tanks or the homosexual missile boats who just hover around and run away when you get close. Imagine being such a homosexual that you play like that.
Is the OG Raven's head in the game?
Because it is cool as frick.
yees
the visor thing is even animated when you lock on to enemies
How do I get it? NG+? NG++?
Ng++ in the 2nd arena. Beat nightfall.
Frick. I am only at NG+
Anon added an extra + by mistake, you'll get it as the last match of the NG+ analysis arena
I hate flamethrower online more than anything. I can't see shit, frick off, i'm just trying out some wonky anime builds, i do not locking for roasting my ass for 5 minutes for nothing.
Bro, your assault boost?
What's an Atlas?
I can see it in the video thumbnail. It's a mech from Battletech series. It's gigantic. And slow. With a lot of firepower.
Ohhh. Ty.
Basically an AC equivalent from BattleTech, they're even the same size.
Holy shit what a boring video. No wonder AC6 is a flop. Do fromtrannies really put up with such a slow and sleep inducing gameplay?
is a missiles only build viable in pvp or am i just gonna get QB'd around and raped in the ass?
talking about duels with a friendo and maybe 3v3s btw, not 1v1ing zimzam flimflam tanks
Everyone is going to hate you for playing like a homosexual and the enemy team will always try to focus you down in 3v3
>Everyone is going to hate you for playing like a homosexual
perfect
Why is my AC6 updating
Update coming.
Stuttering in my game after update became harder. Pretty sure it's anti cheat or denuvo.
It's mostly goes away if i switch fullscreen mode and back to boarderless.
It wasn't until the ice worm mission that I realized Michigan is voiced by the same guy as the AWACS from Ace Combat 6. I feel moronic.
Also Albert Wesker.
Why are only japanese people playing online? You're telling me the game was successful but 80% of the players I check the profile of on ps4 are japanese.
>PS4
There's your problem. Only nips are dumb enough to pay for their own internet again.
>1.2 mil copies on steam
>64% of total sales apparently on PS5
game seems to be doing well. around 4 mil total?
We'll see but I'm not optimistic.
I think this is a 2 million copies game at most and that's okay.
Beach volley DLC with Ayre in bikini.
I still got an s-rank for some reason.
It's mostly about speed in boss fights.
dodge past him on the side his blade is coming from works for me
>Achievement Unlocked: The Bigger They Are...
Anyone else has been messing around with the Ling-Tai generator?, I’ve been having quite a bit of success with it, but I’d be interested in hearing what you guys made with it or any tips you’ve got to build ACs with it.
there is just nothing better than a direct hit with earshot
yeah, I ended up building an entire AC around just landing that perfect shot
It's my Tallgeese
I just beat Walter. Please tell me you can get his beam weapon at some point.
sure. you can get ALL weapons the AC use.
got any underrated builds?
I know of an underrated weapon but anon in the last thread told me to keep hush about it, so I will
It's crazy to me that with Elden Ring I had years of hype and buildup and expectations and ended up loving that game a lot
Then here comes AC6 where I had never played a previous entry and only knew it was a mech game, and I end up having way more fun with it than Elden Ring and considering it the genuinely superior game
DLC when man
anon please go play some of the earlier installments of the series, they are genuinely some of the best bideo games out there
play silent line, last raven, for answer and verdict day
you can emulate them without fault and they are worth it
Oh I absolutely plan to
>Skipping AC1, Master of Arena, and AC2
I like them but wouldnt consider them as some of the best video games in existence the same way I do with silent line, last raven and 4A
I feel like you can't appreciate late 3rd gen without seeing the roots. You have to fight all the nineballs and stop Leo's Klein.
>Raaaven!
yeah you are probably right
Not interested in your old janky shit. AC6 was bad enough.
finally got all endings
lol at Iguazu, he just needed a friend why did we bully him so hard?
the fire ending is unironically the good ending
Please.........michaelzaki.............PCA parts for DLC
So, what if I told you that I wanted to play AC2 on my ps2, but for some reason that PS2 controller remapper for OPL didn't work? The hell I do ravens
God, it feels SO GOOD to be playing a video game with a flamethrower that doesn't suck ass.
ACS Anomaly in general I think is being underestimated currently
I leave the lobby when I see someone using flamethrowers. Everyone should do the same. Same for missile boats.
I'm using it for missions, not multiplayer. Fromsoft can do whatever they want to it in the PvP as long as they don't make it suck in the campaign. Same thing with missile builds, they're fun in missions.
ITT: We guess the DLC subtitle
>Armored Core VI: Victory
Armored Core: Vici.
What if it doesn't have a subtitle? What if it's just called "Armored Core 6"? Fires of Rubicon already took the subtitle, and From doesn't have the money to have two games with subtitles in them.
Armored Core VI: PCA Parts and we let you join the Redguns deluxe digital edition
>and we let you join the Redguns deluxe digital edition
Man I'd pay 50 bucks for an alternate route about joining the Redguns.
Honestly with the plot point of Arquebus yoinking PCA tech, they could very easily say “oh here are some experimental parts meant to retrofit LC/HC’s designs onto existing AC models.
this
I want to build a tank around my AC instead as the PCA does with an MT.
Imagine an Cataphract with an AC core... UNBESIEGBAR
>Armored Core VI: Freud
Unironically Freud needs more attention in DLC if they do it. Disappointing Nine-Breaker. And the man is certainly no Genobee.

Fapping is pretty much sex with Ayre.
I don’t think 621 is even capable of fapping
I'm going to frick Ayre's ten-meter tall AC. USING MY OWN AC.
Not true, I mating pressed an anthro croc women in my dreams the other day, checkmate
Armored Core VI Kart
i'm ready
Plotchads I beseech you some questions:
>Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive?
Canonically you're supposed to be in a not-too-impressive AC that wasn't even primarily designed for combat, and most AC pilots are not nearly as good as 621
>Why does the PCA use LCs and HCs instead of ACs?
They prefer to use proprietary "in-house" technology so as to not be dependent on, or have things leaked to, corporations
>What the frick are LCs and HCs? They're bipedal mechs, but they're not ACs?
Even Michigan values Iguazu quite highly in ratio.
I'll try to answer the best I can
>>Why does anybody bother with MTs? Are ACs really so expensive?
Very informative. Thank you ravens.
always a pleasure, buddy.
>Sure, they could blast everything with their satellites
the mission with the sea spider talks about how you are now so high up that you are within reach of the satellite
im not so sure it can reach down to the surface (for whatever reason)
Seconding the notion of lasers not reaching the surface: Consider everyday lasers on earth that are used to engrave metal or something - they have limited range.
>Literall Light has limited range
How?
Same way flashlights stop being visible after x distance.
But that's due to surface curvature. Anything too distant to see is just over the horizon. Sure the earth itself getting in the way would be enough to block lasers, but we're talking about a satellite that's straight up, negating the curve effect.
I'm no engineer anon but lemme put it this way: If you used a laser used for embedding or carving materials, mounted it in space and pointed it at something on earth, it wouldn't reach.
I still don't understand what would stop them from reaching. Some satellites have lamps mounted, and you can track them in the night sky with your bare eyes. That light gets down to the surface just fine, why wouldn't the laser's light make it too?
Seeing a bright light from the surface of a planet is one thing, but having enough tech and energy to beam that light into a destructive force down 1000s of kilometers is a different story.
NTA but I'm pretty sure the satellites are made for orbital defense to shoot down oncoming ships, not orbital bombardment, at least if they're the same ones from the big flame ending.
Is there any chance in 1000 years we could get matchmaking?
please respond
With fromslope? The company only throwing p2p in every games barely functioning and with zero options for players?
lol
LMAO
frompiggies buy the games no matter how rushed and unfinished the online is in their games. Why bother?
can I get a second opinion, I don't like this one
Indeed you don't like facing the truth just like all fromslopoids. Keep throwing money at them, eventually you'll go from p2p games to... still p2p games but you'll have an emblem with a pig on it in pvp to show how supportive you are towards being abused and taken for a fool.
They have to be aware that people want it
I'm sure it's on a list somewhere being prioritized against other things
Really hope this game is crashing and burning regarding sales when I go online and only get fricking nips no matter what lobby I pick, and when I go to network settings and pick my geographical location there's nobody because the default setting is set to global.
Hope bamco trashes that IP and force the hacks at fromsoft to only shit out soulborne games.
NO! >:/
Spotted the fromtroony
So where was Walter during the whole game? Do him and everyone else you talk in the game even have something to eat in Rubicon?
My minor gripe with multiple endings is one of them will be canon whenever a direct sequel comes out.
>Fires of Raven
It's a safe canon ending because it completely eliminates Coral as a mcguffin for future AC games, ergo more freedom for different stories. I favor this ending.
>Liberator of Rubicon
If the story wants to use more of Coral as a mcguffin so more red pew pew lasers.
>Alea Iacta Es
Not sure the story will do well in a super high sci-fi fantasy with the human race being wiped out, and will deal with ayy lmaos, talking ACs, and augmented humans.
>whenever a direct sequel comes out
armored core doesnt really do direct sequels
We don't actually know what happened to mankind in the ALLMIND ending, or if it happened to all of them. They could have a pretty easy skub plotline about Coralgay ascended humans vs. nonCoralgays.
Realistically the expansion's going to follow from the Liberation or ALLMIND ending, since they'd just make a new continuity if they were going to drop Coral.
There are like three distinct continuities and they made a direct sequelokay, mostly expansions for every game before.
>before
nta but now I read this word in Freuds voice. Every fricking time
>with the human race being wiped out
Nice headcanon tripgay
Liberator is the safest bet.
Coral shenanigans is the distinguishing trait of AC6's setting. Without it, we just go back to the
>War and technology is hell, corporations le bad and the human condition is wack innit?
narratives of the first five games or so.
It's too obviously standalone-expansion bait.
>you've changed the entire world and the course of human evolution!
>no we're not going to explain how you have... yet :^)
Cast the Die doesn't explain anything that just happened besides:
>you helped humanity evolve good job :^*~~
>also coral is everywhere now
Meaning they could follow it up in any way imaginable, and on another planet if they wanted.
This would be such a kino esport type competitive game if they could just fix the balance and add matchmaking
>tfw will never touch shitty online mode
Armored Core never really had stellar PVP, so you're doin pretty good, champ.
>boosty lagfests of AC4
>grinding for boxes in ACV
>the obnoxiously complicated xkai or whatever that was needed for all PS2 era AC titles
Them cutting back on the online integration from ACVD was a blessing.
I have no idea why people engage with FROMs cancerous PvP modes. Literally the worst parts of all their games. Offline mode all day err day.
same. Also I can't get why the want to see all those messages spoiling them basically everything around. It isn't fun.
You don't know how much I wish I could ban myself from this gay shit to never have the urge to play it again. Once it stopped working for a full day on my side and I was at least shielded from this pure aids.
Thanks for the block, finally uninstalled this piece of trash for good.
>g1 michigan slipped and died
What's the joke? Don't we kill him in the mission where we fight like 50 Balam MTs?
No, he never deploys in that mission. You can hear him on the radio for most of it, then suddenly by the end one of his lieutenants mentions that he took a tumble and died getting into his AC.
That had to be the most moronic moment in the whole game...
But don't we fight his AC? And after we kill it, redguns in coms say how he made the job easier for them to finish us off or something like that.
Don't tell me I imagined it.
But he does deploy and he dies in his AC. He says that as one last shitpost.
???? Is this a meme? Liger Tail is around. Old man wouldn't let anyone in his AC, would he?
He's a cool old man.
He lived talking shit to others and doesn't want any badass accolades on his burial.
Michigan was a man who called everyone a homosexual, and he wants people to call him a homosexual when he finally kicks the bucket.
MEAN OL' MICHIGAN DIED OF A BAD FALL
I just want the arena to be more involved again. Logistically, it being data simulations makes more sense, but I miss how in older games, they're real combat and some Ravens would shittalk you if you beat them in the Arena.
Passionate procreative coral sex with Ayre
So Coral entities need some poor attuned dipshit to haunt if they want to interact with humans right?
ScienceBlack folk who know they exist while using the correct equipment and people literally injecting Coral into their veins to get high work too.
Yea, any gen 4 c-argumented human will probably do. Even Snail had headaches near 621.
Plot armor.
>Iguazu ejects for the fifith time and you walk around the map trying to stomp on him before he gets away again
Dynasty Warriors.
If character needs to die, he dies, if he needs to survive he "retreats".
Simple as.
It's a video game.
>Dynasty Warriors.
I loved this in the 4th game: They retreat/die with a last sentence. The higher officers fall on their backs, while the others die face down.
my 100% monochrome AC looks good but you wouldnt believe it
post it homosexual
What the frick does augmentation even entail.
Do you get a chip shoved up your butthole? Do you get turned into a cyborg? Its not like you need to be augmented to be an AC pilot too.
probably get cybernetic stuff embedded in your brain and your spine to interface with your AC directly
We know they reinforce your whole body and muscles so you can handle the insane G-Forces better, at least if the augmentation is like Human Plus.
In 6 it's brain surgery to make your mind more specialized for piloting an AC. In first gen there was something analogous that was known as "human plus" and was even more invasive.
I do not understand how normal human can survive in the AC. There like 10g when AC evade from side to side.

Aaaaah the coral is talking! Im going insane! Aaaah zimmerman help me!
IS-
IS THAT ANOTHER AC APPROACHING ME? C-COULD THAT BE AN IBIS SERIES? AIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE ZIMMERMAN YOU FRICKING SHOTGUNS WHERE ARE YOU WHEN I NEED YOU
Do i have to choose the betrayal the the attack the dam mission when going for the allmind route in ng++??
maybe
No.
aight thanks
No
I dont think it effect the allmind route but I think you should kick G4,5 ass to be safe
Just do all NG+ missions in general. The first NG++ branching points are the missions to escort the mining ship instead of destroying it, and to disappear the PCA inspection at BAWS arsenal no. 2 instead of investigating it.
It's way funnier overall if you do it
no but do it anyway because it makes more sense that way
Someone recreate this with and AC and change the title to Ayre
I already did
spring chicken fricks
>20 death already
Yooo how the frick do I kill this spider
I stomped him first go on NG with a burst rifle, grenade launcher, missiles and vertical plasma missiles by just staying in the air as much as possible. Most of his attacks can't do shit if you're above him.
Like a lot of early bosses he becomes an even bigger joke once you get access to better gear but that's how I got him with only the early game stuff.
Stick to him like a glue
Stay above him, and stay close. I used my heavy plasma build to rain AOE death and tank hits.
Stay close and high and shove a pile bunker up its ass.
Zimmer Pike Bunker and 2 Songbirdd
Upgrade your OS
True damage and kick is must have.
Now that I've finished all my S ranks I feel comfortable admitting I have no idea how multilock works.
You hold the button and a yellow circle appears on everyone you locked onto. FCS also has stats that affect lock on speed and range
I love this fight so much, I hate that I have to spend five minutes destroying ships beforehand every time I want to play it, though
Is the Arena version different?
you don't have heals or infinite energy
it's the atmosphere that's so cool
the setpiece, him talking to you over comms, infinite energy
>I won't stop!
also the arena version is re-locked once you finish that playthrough, you'll have to play through a chunk of NG+++ to unlock it again
360+ boost speed is the ninjaflip of AC6
Why this look so easy
Because I keep getting close and he keeps trying to jump away to shoot his big laser, wasting his time and missing anyway.
Also most of his other ranged attacks are not dangerous, I finished this attempt with 60% AP and zero heals used.
once you figure out what makes a boss tick, you can stay aggressive all the time and not give them a chance to relaliate
I hate how bubble guns overheat so fricking fast
Hope next patch fix those guns
they cool down super fast if you don't overheat them, just got to get the muscle memory down
Switching to a slower build after one around there (high 350s) fricked me up for a while because there's so much shit you just don't have to quick dodge, you can just move out of the way. Constantly got tagged by shit because now I have to actually dodge it.
Does laser shotgun work well with tank build
I keep getting filtered on Michigan fight because of The aim any tips?
>because of The aim
What?
Just discard your weapons and punch shit if you run out of ammo
Flamethrower
>A LOT of ammo
>literally melts the fodder
>Needles for Liger Tail
>???
>PROFIT!
I did it on NG+ with this build here (
) and I got it first try.
Though I did run out of bullets near the end and had to carefully kill the last 25% of Michigan's AP with just well timed grendes then mop up the last 6-7 MTs while near death.
Use a VE-20C with basic Laser Rifles, they one shot every MT on the mission.
Energy weapons and killing the copters that drop the shielded ACs. If you can't kill the adds fast enough, kite Michigan and kill them so that you can focus on the big man himself.
Swap FCS to compliment your combat range
I'm going to believe Firearm Specialization makes me shoot harder.
It kinda does actually
That is way I have Nachtreiher arms.
>way
*why
Nachtreiher is a trap of you use autos or semi autos. Keep that in mind.
care to explain?
Nacht arms have poor recoil control so any setup that generates a lot of recoil is going to cause your shots to fly all over the place.
I fricking KNEW this had to have some sort of drawback! Apart from the low arm burden of course. Which arms do you recommend for semi/auto?
Really depends on the loadout. You'll just have to try different arms and see what's enough.
alright thx. My loadout changes quite a bit, as I try to achieve S-ranks.
I don't know what that means.
How do I be supersanic fast without resorting to the use of wheelchair but not also having an AC made out of toilet paper.
ephemeral parts combined with some reverse joint legs feel to me like a decent balance between speed and stability
You do it by using the wheelchair.
What was From thinking letting that thing hit 400+?
the vurgrurrarzus something assault boost boosters
On PC and never played Armored Core before.
Should I buy this game or emulate one of the older ones?
>Should I buy this game or emulate one of the older ones?
i was in mostly the same position as you (only played the ps1 games) and with advice from an AC autist bro i just jumped in with 6, it feels like a good entry point
from what i've been told you wont lose much by just jumping straight in with AC6, but if you have the patience it's probably ultimately best to play the series in order so you can catch the little nods and references towards older games
That's just what he wanted you to tell people. Did you forget murdering him?
What's a decent set up with BAWS/non main corpo parts?
I'm trying full BASHO and I'm just trying missiles + Dizzy grenade launcher.
So it's just baiting guys with missile spam then hitting them while in the air with a large AOE
>have to sandbag and play shitty builds or host will kick me
I don't like pvp.
FULLY ANIMATED
what's your preferred expansion for pvp?
for me, it's pulse armor
assault armor is cool but the windup makes it meh tier for pvp
the shield is lol lmao
terminal armor feels gay cause it either just extends the fight pointlessly for a few seconds if you're losing or almost guarantees a cheap win if its a close one
>anything that isn't a shotgun,minigun or rocket sucks dick
What grenade launchers are those?
Feeling good?
I'd really want to know how deep the rabbit hole goes before the thread ends. If it's related to the stalker(s) or if it's just because of the weather and how bad my connection is.
