So how does Coral actually work? Is it like the Matrix? Is there a whole world of billions of people living inside it that we're destroying by burning it? When coral kills people, does it suck their consciousness and data into it? Remaking this thread because the last one only got moron replies
Basically the god particle influenced by mankind unwittingly.
It's Instrumentality
The way I see it they're minds that exist as particles. Some or possibly all are sentient and know they're particles and that's okay because that's how they are.
>Is it like the Matrix?
No they're particles and they know it
>Is there a whole world of billions of people living inside it that we're destroying by burning it?
Yes, burning the Coral is an alien genocide
>When coral kills people, does it suck their consciousness and data into it?
No, but I assume something like that happens in the Coral Release ending, similar to Instrumentality in NGE (merging humans and coral into one ocean of minds and souls that now fills at least the galaxy)
If coral doesnt suck people in, how do Ayre and the Rubiconians in the coral exist? It seems heavily implied they were human and lived in institute city once
They're friendly aliens
I thought Ayre was a bunch of coral that simulated a human personality by absorbing data.
It is
the way I see it, coral attained human-like qualities after the fires of ibis, Ayre isn't really a Rubiconian that existed, she shows many traits that a human in her situation just wouldn't, however, when we make contact with her, she knows to come up with a name (or maybe she already saw herself as Ayre) and she idenitifes herself as being from Rubicon, thus, a rubiconian.
Shes a Rubiconian in the sense that coral is from Rubicon
She is rubiconian as the coral (or that coral) came from there
They emulate humanity in order to communicate with us.
It's literally the Scub Coral from Eureka Seven, right down to making individual personas to interact with humanity/protagonist.
Like darkness from dark souls but not but kinda sorta.
Basically it just works.
Coral is a mass of particles of some exotic material that can self-organize into complex structures and at least simulate intelligence like a neural network might. It's not clear how the memories of humans killed by Coral disasters can be incorporated into its structure. The idea of using it as an energy source is probably a creative misunderstanding of the correspondence between thermodynamics and information theory.
Alien lifeform that also doubles as an insanely powerful energy conduit
Triples as a wife.
>The idea of using it as an energy source is probably a creative misunderstanding of the correspondence between thermodynamics and information theory.
>Hey Raven.... They really do look like fireworks
Sentient floating ethercloud alien waifu
How the frick does she know what fireworks looks like?
Your honest reaction to this? I felt a bit embarrassed actually.
Rusty was absolute fricking brokino
Best theme too
I coom.
V.4 Rusty lookes like THAT?!
Energy/will that gathers together and a trigger will dictates a change in reality called release.
>DUDE CORAL LMAO
Everyone is tripping balls because of Coral, simple as.
Coral is defined as a material that is able to conduct data and can be used as an energy source. When Coral gather, it expands theoretically exponentially, potentially covering the whole universe. People that made contact with Coral blow-outs can have their mind etched as waves in the Coral. It almost happened to 621 when he made contact with Ayre. Coral people have the same instinct as coral particles earning to gather. They can make contact with 4th or older augmented humans that used coral for augmentations.
Well, maybe coral people are not dead mind but just sentient waves. I'm not too sure about that. Ayre just says that she is Rubiconian, but that does not necessarily means that she is human.
Smoking coral must have spiritual connotations then.
