>Arthas what have you done? >Saved millions by killing thousand? >We could save them!!! >How? >Somehow? I`m done here, you fucking Butcher!!! Now I will leave you alone with your guilt, bye! >Your girlfriend will leave you too by the way
Uter is retard.
>Nobody talks about
Do you only play games if someone talks about them? YWNBAW. >nobody remembers it
Unless you are a zoomer, you know about Lost Vikings and, most likely, had played it. >just another platformer
Lolnope. Your words tell me, that you had never played it - therefore you are a zoomer, whose opinion is invalid by default.
The Warcraft trilogy, Diablo 1-2, Starcraft 1 and 2
Those are all entertaining and have great single player campaigns. Maybe the writing isnt the best, but they have strong gameplay
Regardless of whether Arthas was right, Uther was most certainly wrong.
There was a fucking dreadlord running loose in the city. If Uther had stayed and fought Mal'ganis, then none of TFT would have come to pass. But no. Uther ran away like a bitch and Mal'ganis had his way.
Arthas was a level four paladin who couldn't even resurrect people yet. No wonder he'd think the people were beyond saving. I see no reason why Uther shouldn't be allowed to quarantine the city and try and figure something out. Jaina could always Tele to khaz'modan and get some mortar teams tele'd back to level the city in case things went south. Uther was an incredibly competent leader (last of the silver hand even with Arthas gunning for him?) and Arthas's senior albeit only as a paladin. Uther's biggest mistake is leaving Arthas alone as the man in charge after they had that conversation.
Uther's biggest mistake is not calming an emotional Arthas down and himself acting like some offended pussy. Arthas is young and inexperienced but was not a bad person by any means. If put into the right mind and supported properly everything could be rationalized. And who to better do this than his experienced friend and life teacher? Uther completely failed in every regard.
always funny how the older, more experienced, more wise, more level headed mentor supposedly reacts by being an emotional whiny bitch and fucking off with no solution.
I get they had to throw a story together but this thing irks me in general.
Uther and jaina were both retarded and arrogant by their actions
As mission's designer explained, purge literally achieved nothing. It makes no difference for necromancers whether to raise bunch of ghouls or bunch of skeletons. Arthas just murdered civilians in attempt to oppose Mal'Ganis, and then ran after him, leaving the city half-destoyed.
Sounds to me like Arthas did the best he could with what he had. My gf is a die-hard WC fan especially WC3 so she's talked about this interaction quite a lot, and it's definitely had me wonder a few times about Arthas who is fairly compelling as a character that could have gone either way but gradually went more and more down the creek because of escalating circumstances and fixation. It could happen to anyone.
We even go in past to help Arthur when infinite dragonflight tried to stop Arthas.
Because whole world will be doom with3the purge.
Old developr excuse: Uther didn't see the undead yet, so he doesn't know about their horror,
While Arthas was too panic to explain as he immediately go to nuke button. So Uther leave. (It will be different story if Arthas didn't try to purge without any explaining.)
New developers: Arthas should just walk away like Jaina.
(This show you how new developers know shit about original stories beyond summary.)
I tire arguing about this because the scene is poorly written. They do this "we have literally zero time to talk" shit that is just a convenient excuse to not bother with any actual dialog or conflict and just to force the story you want to happen. In reality everyone knows that except for very few moments like actual split second decisions it's always more efficient to take a deep breath and think the situation through.
If you so easily justify a fictional genocide after a few convenient excuses have been thrown you way, what does that say about you? Remember that whether Arthas was ultimately in the right, or whether his heart was in the right place, is not actually the real question that is asked of you, the player. He gambled his soul and the fate of his kingdom for nothing, he was in the wrong.
Whether he was right or wrong is not even remotely important and just highlighted by internet virgins who think winning an internet argument is important.
Even till this day there is no cure for the undead.
If Arthas didn't purge it, we will have zombies apocalypse lead by Orc who have no love for Azeroth.
(Orc are still new at that time.)
Lordaeron wouldn't have fallen so easily, so that changes nothing. Again Arthas bet all of his kingdom for an already lost city, that's a rather stupid tactical decision no matter how you spin it.

Redpill me on single player Blizzard games. Which ones are worth playing?
I don't mind playing games for the story but I hate MMOshit
WC3, StarCraft2, Diablo 1-2 other games are shit.
Dumb gay
Play all the rts games if you like rts. Wc1&2 are pretty dated though.
Diablo 1~2 are great.
>Dumb gay
>Recommends same games
Are you shizo or something?
>other games are shit
Listen here, you little shit.
Nobody talks about Lost Vikings, nobody remembers it - just another platformer one of the millions.

was it the rational and logical thing to do? sure
was it the moral thing to do?
not at all, arthas was in the wrong
Arthas was right. Doesn't change that the scene was written like shit, making everyone look retarded.
>Glad you can make it Gul'dan
Warcraft reboot all the way to the first dark portal opening when?
The Scourge didn’t care about the town, it was all a ruse to corrupt Arthas and he fell for it.
Uther and jaina must have been working together with the scourge then since they are the main reason why Arthas was corrupted.
>be video game protagonist
>get corrupted because you care about people dying
Meanwhile, the king and uther do jack shit or run away.
They're paladins, they should have just prayed to the light to help them
>our thoughts and prayers are with stratholme in these trying times
either way, uther should have stopped him as well. what kind of paladin lets someone slaughter an entire city of innocents just because he's a prince?
If they faced MalGanis together they would have at least saved more cities
Use magic and fix everything.
It was lose-lose situation

Without, number 3 was close to auto correct 'Without'
We don't help Arthas in CoT because it's right, but simply because we can't allow history to be changed.
Bronze already change history dozen of time.
Hell, that's how we save Chrome, by changing History.
(She died, we changed it so she didn't die.)
It's OK when it benefits ~~*dragonflight*~~
Just retcon everything
What if Jaina became the Lich queen?
sex with lich queen
What would be the exciting twist though?
She would try to seduce Tirion

some never play original warcraft 3.
It will not just be Lordaeron, but whole Eastern kingdom destruction.
And oh, warcraft 3 undead not same as tame Shadowland undead.
Stop believing new developers bullshit.
>Not a new IP
Heh
>That time a WC3 map designer was seething about people saying Arthas was right because it's equal to shooting covid people
Uther will always be the worst party to this and him getting posthumously glorified for being such a retard only heightened it.
Yeah, but he could've expressed it less like an utter retard.
>*Ding*
>It's done!
