Reached 60 hours and played 3 years in-game and I feel like I've played 90% of it. Unless I'm artistically willing to raise relationships with everyone in town to max and marry every single possible choice I don't see there being more than 50-60 hours of enjoyment.
I 100%ed it in 120-150 hours or something. Was fun as frick, but I'm also a sucker for "number goes big" games and I had the stardew wiki open with 20 tabs all the time.
Once you get past year 3, the game has no more content and you should already be a millionaire by then with everything upgraded. I myself have never gotten past year 2 but I have restarted plenty of times and there are a lot of game changing mods that add a lot more content
I just started playing it about a week ago. I only play for an hr a day at the most. Its the type of game that is nice to play when I'm waking up or before bed. It's mostly mindless but still pretty fun and engaging. The entire game is "comfy". I cant be bothered to use the wiki like everyone says. I really don't want my ruin my first playthrough by making this game anything more than it is, which is ultimately an exploring and life sim and not meant to get every single thing right or immediately know all the details on every person or item. Whats the fun in that?
It is quite addictive, but I don't think it is as good as people say. Anyway, even though it's a somewhat simplistic game with rather amateurish artwork (the writing is garbage), it's still the kind of game you play for 100 hours, so I don't think there's much to complain about.
It's possible that you develop the "No Man's Sky" effect after playing the game for too long, however, which is that feeling that you spent more time than you should have on something that in the end had no purpose and wasn't even that interesting. The difference is that Stardew Valley is infinitely better than NMS.
i installed it like a month ago with expanded mod and its still holds me (even though mod is kind of shit but not that different quality from the the base game)
and right now on summer of second year and feel like its starting to lose me
i think there's like new dungeons that you can unlock but its like +1-2 days worth of my attention
it doesnt matter
the only thing that is time sensitive is that by the end of year 2 grandpa will rate your farm and its REALLY hard to not get the best score if you play the game normally
My first play through I basically ignored a lot of the appliances and buildings and just manually watered and sold shitloads of corn and cauliflower, and still managed the four star appraisal at the end of year 2. I don't know what criteria the game judges you by because all I did was make money, I had really unremarkable relationships with most villagers except my wife and I didn't bother trying to restore the community center
I am thinking about either playing Stardew Valley or Minecraft (with mods on 1.18,as last time i played on 1.0 like 7 years ago). Which one for maximum comfy?
It's just more repetitive than most games because you're doing the same things as you did in the beginning, while not unlocking very many new things. They added Ginger Island to help with the late game problem, but it just didn't appeal to me personally and I got bored
I like to frick around on ginger island before attempting skull cavern simply because you can boost weapons to deal stupid amounts of damage with the volcano.
My most recent playthrough was pretty fun. I slept through the entire first year Just so I could start at year two and have access to all the crops. Also having clints prices upped from the start meant I HAD to go to the mines. Was a pretty fun playthrough. Also having like 4 times the trees at the start was amusing to cut down to make room for crops.
No, i tried it and it's just fine
Torrent it and find out for yourself
Frick do you even for 700 hours, does this game have THIS much content
>does this game have THIS much content
nah, you're just doing the same shit time and time again

You don't have to play like this, but I did.
I have replayed the game many times because I like it. I bought it in 2016 and it's had a few updates where I replay it again.

do i need to be a minmaxer or does time not matter for "story"? i get near the end of the first summer and have almost nothing
it doesnt matter

i thought grandpa is dead and that's why you get the farm?
He gets better
go to top left of your farm
If you finish the community center and watch the cut-scene for it you pretty much have a four candle rating.

I'd lrt you know but much switch died 🙁

do you want to build stuff or color in hearts for mediocre waifus?
Very addictive in the beginning but the late game is just very repetitive and boring
>but the late game is just very repetitive and boring
thats every game, what game doesnt have a repetitive late game?

Recently played through two ingame years and did the Ginger Island stuff which was new to me, had a grand time.

Yes. Fall best season with best music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keeQB2XxnLU&t
I forgot to add this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYqvwZViIck&t
If you go in expecting perfection you are going to be disappointed, but it is a very fun casual game
Jas!
