We'll have to wait and see how they changed poison but it seems like an interesting rework at least
It should work exactly like ascendant element
The actual queston is how is it going to work with stinking cloud
Is there a build that relies on traps/gadgets/consumables/throwables in this game that's actually viable? I love the idea of that class but it's execution in 99% of games leaves a lot to be desired
Alchemist
Alchemist is one one of the best classes in the game
Assassin class? Is that a rogue? Never noticed it
It's the worst prestige class in the game.
Still 2 DLCs left in the second season pass.
poisons are never worth it in such combat-centric even without mythic feat tax, not when they're terribly slow save-or-suck
also
>another dlc
lol
so much for wotr enhanced enhanced edition, gotta exploit 40k chumps
The ee was just a free update
>Owlkeks already backpedalling hard out the 3rd season
OH NO NO NO NO
AHAHAHAHAHA
LOOK AT THE TOP OF THEIR FINANCIAL REPORT
>LOOK AT THE TOP OF THEIR FINANCIAL REPORT
Pretty good, they're already making their own game with no kickstarter help (which also won't include a furgay romance)
already backpedalling hard out the 3rd season
no third season pass?
>no third season pass?
Unless season 2 DLCs sell exceptionally, no.
I mean, was there ever a plan mentioned? There is no leftover plot hook for a dlc like through the ashes was to make you think they will do another one.
Last one being a citadel DLC felt like a fanservice farewell.
They always said that if season 2 sold well enough they would make another one
There's a few things they can do just by going through setting material for the region. Just off the top of my head
Lake on the top right of the map is full of Linnorms and at the bottom there's a portal to the castle of the Linnorm King (Feywild Eldest like Lantern King)
The entire top left is full of NE Undead and there's a circle of druid liches that live there led by a level 20 MR10 Archlich ArchDruid
Middle left which is currently just a storybook event swarm city is supposed to have another big city somewhere that the big lightning Balor guy keeps his Palace
Winged Wood at the middle south is supposed to have a bunch of Succubi and corrupted nature spirits like Dryads and Treants.
>Winged Wood at the middle south is supposed to have a bunch of Succubi and corrupted nature spirits like Dryads
God i wanna go there
But what do most of those have to do with demons?
Other than the Lake being a general do not frick with location because it's full of invisible sea serpents the others all turned to shit because of demons.
>No plans unless fans show they really , really want to be milked
I see
>you won't make something unless there is demand for it?! AAAA I'm GOING INSANE
you commies are so fricking moronic
To be fair the only reason why there is no demand is because they already fricked up the first three so people naturally lost interest
That's fair, I honestly wouldn't really give enough of a shit to give the game another try if I had to wait for 1-2 more years for another fricking season pass. Just make your next game.
>poison
Lolno. The frick you gonna do? Deal 1d4 STR dmg to an enemy with 40+STR beginning with Act 3?
Maybe make actually interesting DLC that people want to buy such as what literally every-fricking-one of your fans wants, more main campaign and mythic path content. Instead of making the "levels 1 to 4 play-as-a-farmer" campaign in the module that's all about larger than life characters, powers and enemies. And the next DLC sounds even more boring, frick me how do they even manage to frick up DLC so hard?
>And the next DLC sounds even more boring
Nah the next one is great
>b-but the companions are le bad!
>I want a new mythic path!
don't care and a new path is never going to happen
how about fricking make Devil and Gold Dragon real paths instead of jerking off your mediocre character writing
>mythic path content
Already happened with the EE
only devil and GD got cucked
>Already happened with the EE
You can't actually be serious.
Am I wrong? Every path got something besides those two
Well technically devil did get something that no one cares about
It's literally over. We will never get any waifu DLCs because they spent all their effort on worthless shit.
>waifu DLCs
Don't care
I care!
Maybe BG3's success will force owlcat to submit to the coomer dollar next time.
I sincerely hope Larian makes a Dark Heresy game just to shit in Owlcat's cheerios a little more
Every single girl in both Pathfinder games is better than larianslop girls
Based. I want to breed Lady Konomi.
... Except for Nenio and that c**t
Frick you. They're the best.
BG3's success is a result of them having 10x the budget, development time and experience than a studio like Owlcat.
it's more comparable to a Bioware game at their peak.
and that's a good thing for rpgs
Seeing lariandrones try to derail every thread on Ganker makes me think this game was a disaster for gaming.
Wait until it wins goty
>morally upright pure of heart Succubus that makes a bed of flowers every time you get her to cum
Larian is a bunch of Black folk and homosexuals, what the frick are you even talking about moron?
He needs to get off to his waifu fricking a bear
Wrath is one of my favorite CRPGS but even I can admit their dlc is shit. Like, why the frick would I want to play as some random loser instead of the characters I spend 60 hours making? They should have just made an expansion.
And what's weird is that, apart from a a few contrarians here, most everyone is in agreement with that sentiment. Time and again Owlcat have asked for feedback and time and again they've received the same answers, only to ignore it completely. I don't know if it's Paizo holding them by the balls or their own stupid tone deafness but they're losing a lot of sales because of it. I fricking hope they don't pull the same shit with Rogue Trader.
>they don't pull the same shit with Rogue Trader.
They won't, hopefully
Oh shit, they're learning. 20 surveys and 2 god damn botched season passes later. I want to give these stupid russians more money to make more games but nothing in these DLCs is appealing, apart from maybe Shifter. And making a DLC in the second season pass be a direct continuation to the DLC in the first season pass is just scummy all around.
Really crazy that they didn't consider Varnholdt's lot was only as popular as it was because of the tie in and the dungeon, not so much because
>Le play random dude
Through the Ashes is so underbaked as an idea despite the really cool environment interactions that it's hard to rationalize what went through their heads
>check steam
>mixed reviews
uhhh yeah popular
It sold well didn't it? I imagine if it didn't sell well Owlcat just wouldn't do Through the Ashes
The wild cards was the most popular one in kingmaker and yet that didn't stop them from making the first three dlc have nothing to do with adding a new companion, worse still, the first one had a shitton of puzzles, the main thing people dislike about their games
They're just dense
Steamies leaving big smelly shits in their autism containment box means nothing.
Irrelevant, people that reviewed it paid for it and they didn't like it, we're tlaking about the popularity not the quality
Steamcucks don't like anything, they'll drop a negative review for the dumbest shit humanly imaginable.
>wild cards have positive reviews
>varnhold mixed
>beneath the stolen lands mixed
Yeah I trust them with this one
And it only took them two games to figure this out
>Like, why the frick would I want to play as some random loser instead of the characters I spend 60 hours making?
Because by the end of Wrath you become too powerful and the only enemies that can be a challenge are demigods.
Does it make sense to make a DLC where you fight ONLY demigods?
>and the only enemies that can be a challenge are demigods
A single vavakia is stronger than any demon lord
Then you fill out the woefully lacking Act 3 with more content. And you fill out the even worse Act 5 with more content. Or you rework Act 2 so it's not a series of 4 encounters total. Or just cram entire new act between 3 and 4 because there is ample room there. Why would you assume that people wants content AFTER the campaign has ended?
>act 3
>lacking in content
I don't get it, are you being sarcastic?
Act 2 has several different areas with multiple encounters if you choose to explore them. Did you actually play the game?
>we're tired and lazy
>we don't want to do it anymore
Wait for it, they are going to use this exact same excuse when their 4th game won't even be a pathfinder game at all.
The franchise will die on its 2nd release just like all other d&d franchises.
>their 4th game won't even be a pathfinder game at all
Yes it will and it will have an erodaemon wife
Well I don't believe you!!
>You don't.
You kind of do, you always have the initiative when you issue charge command on unsusceptible opponents or when you ambush them with some spell.
Desna told me in a dream that Sarenrae would send an Erodaemon gf to turn into an Agathion with wiener
>you always have the initiative when you issue charge command on unsusceptible opponents
It works the same in turn based.
>third pathfinder game
>but probably won't have mythic ranks
I'm not sure how I feel, like sure you don't *need* to escalate the gameplay but its hard going from a power fantasy to a better power fantasy (WoTR) to a worse power fantasy (but with the same whatever writing)
One of the devs, during one of their Reddit Q&A, all but confirmed it'll be Iron Gods. Makes sense, as well - they can use the assets, animations and skeletal models developed in Rogue Trader in order to make robots, androids, guns etc. in their third AP, which is heavily revolving around technology.
I hope not. That'd be three campaigns in a row from North-Eastern Avistan. I want my tropical Caribbean beach vacation Azlanti adventure.
Me too, especially since Owlcat makes no attempt at having the events, characters, plot points etc. interconnect, like in Dragon Age.
As a matter of fact, Dragon Age is the ONLY fantasy series that did that. What a depressing thought.
Neverwinter Nights was supposed to be connected to Baldur's Gate, but that got scrapped.
Source?
>backpedalling
When was the 3d season pass even mentioned or confirmed?
>NOOOOO WHY AREN'T THEY MILKING ME FOR EVERY SINGLE PENNY I OWN!!!
You frickers are mindless. I bet you are the same fricks that b***h about rampant DLC plaguing the gaming industry
It just means the DLC isn't selling. Kinda like Rogue troony that won't sell either.
They literally said The Last Sarkorians sold reasonably well
>Rogue troony that won't sell either
You wish furgay
40kids shit never sells. This won't be an exception.
>Browses anything Owlcat related
>Still wants them to fail
What a weird obsession you have.
>DLC 4 sold well
You do not even read the posts you actually reference, do you?
I wonder why some morons try so hard to doompost
>You do not even read the posts you actually reference, do you?
Well, do you?
"DLC4 looks somewhat promising in that regard"
Hell, you can't even reply to the proper post
>mark for death doesn't remove sneak attack/crit immunity
>poisons still suck ass because lol fortitude saves unless you take assassin 10 AND pay mythic tax
>assassinate still sucks because lol fortitude save
Nah, assassin is still the worst prestige.
>worst prestige
Better than being the worst class in the game!
Which is?
Dragonblood Shifter maybe
or Defender of the True World
What the FRICK is a DLC season pass
Nope!!! Not unless you bring along the Incense synthesizer to debuff the poison further.
Incense synthesiser WINS AGAIN
No one cares about Assassin, brap cloud is back on the menu
>brap cloud is back on the menu
Are you from india or something?
Stop using that stinky shit!
God my Dhampir Wizard run is painful. I am using so many inflict scrolls keeping my health pool up because of so many Babau beating me in initiative running past the entire party and sneak attacking me with their spears.
it'll all be worth once hit Lich and can just Dark Eruption yourself
You'd think so but I'm doing Azata into Devil.
>Devil
why would you do that
>initiative
Just play in real time, then you always have the initiative.
You don't. You can just kite until your turn order kicks in, though.
>running past the entire party
They are using this https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Slayer's+Advance
The error is in your party formation, if you space your characters so you always have 1 or 2 characters guard your wizard right in front of them, it will frick up the pathfinding of the opponent and he can't target your wizard.
No the aren't Babau and Gargoyles just have a ton of movement and they are ignoring anyone not in base contact to run up and slap wizard butt.
Well I've already done Angel, Trickster, Aeon into Legend, and I got bored and abandoned Lich when I started act 4.
>have a ton of movement and they are ignoring anyon
Because your party formation has a ton of holes in it and leave room for them to enter and kill your wizard. It's literally your own fault.
Not him but there are points where you could get 5 people in the front and a few mobs will still walk/charge past everyone to slap the backrow or a specific character, even if it has to get hit by every opportunity attack in the process. Dunno if it's a bug, intended or just bad programming but it happens.
I have dealt with them by having 2 front lines.
The first frontline exist to cheat their cmputer's pathfinding.
The second "frontline" stands right next to the spellcaster, and directly intercepts/interrupts the computer once it locked its pathfinding into your spellcaster, he just have to stand right in front of the wizard, and it breaks the computer a.i.
It's your formation that is the problem, it's inadequate.
That's just real time and none of it applies to turn based.
Well, Realtime is the best mode after all.
You waste less time, and your formations actually have tactical importance.
>Froggy is still mindbroken
Christ in heaven, even farquaad wasn't this deranged. Did people play martial angels one too many times?
Release the Nenio/Konomi romance DLC and the terror will end.
Is this the game with the combat wheelchairs?
No.
Imagine playing this garbage in a post-BG3 world.
WotR is a better game, but BG3 has Lae'zel, so it's pretty much even.
Wotr has Nenio so it's better by definition.
Both garbage, and both associated with frogs, quite the coincidence
Shitposting aside, I'm very interested to see how the market will react to Baldur's Gate III and its massive financial and critical success.
Maybe one or two other studio will take the plunge and invest into a "classical" expensive RPG. I imagine WotC is already begging Larian to develop another game for them.
Search through their Q&A's.
>massive
Is it though? It's only impressive by CRPG standards. Other slop like Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Cyberpunk, Skyrim, Ass Creed Odyssey/Valhalla etc. are selling circles around it.
I certainly believe when it comes to normies it'll be a
>I want more CRPGs... wait not like that!
the second anyone does anything that doesn't have D&D slapped on the front
>Wait for game to be dead to fix the class which doesn't fricking work at all
>By completely homebrewing it
>After you said you weren't stupid and were going to add ways to make Assassin work, in like the second week of the kickstarter after rightfully being called out immediately on this moronic decision and waste of resources when there's all sorts of crusader-y options they could do instead
>Then go ahead and make an entire companion based around being an Assassin, burning tons of money to do so, and choosing this over fleshing out one of the other companions instead
>But STILL refuse to spend 5 minutes to fix the poison problem, and make him a fricking Slayer instead, because even a single level of Assassin is too horrid of a fate
>Not even a special Assassin-like archetype either
>Just fricking plain vanilla ice cream Slayer
Owlcat devs are so fricking strange and their games so incredibly buggy I'm convinced they are paid in the cheapest homebrew vodka in all of Russia
Also where the FRICK is the make-armor-not-shit feat, another thing which would take 5 minutes to add
Am I going to wake up to news that they chose to completely homebrew a new AC system too?
>Also where the FRICK is the make-armor-not-shit feat
In the next patch alongisde the poison ability
Unfortunately, it won't make poison good because poison targets fortitude save and works too slow.
Compare d4 STR damage from poison per turn (unless enemy saves, of course) to 2 STR damage from every single sneak attack.
Better "low tier" than "literally doesn't fricking work"
>low-tier
Poison has to beat target's Fort save to work: if it's low, then target has low CON and dies before poison does anything useful, if it's high, then target will usually save against poison.
You should also consider the following: poison deals ability damage, and enemies that are immune to poison are also often immune to ability damage, and I fully expect Owlcats to miss this fact.
That's why you debuff the saving throws before attempting it. Casters have had pernicious poison sitting in the spellbooks doing nothing for 2 years. On top of the other usual methods of debuffing saving throws, it'll be more than enough to hit with poison at least regularly.
>apply poison to enemy
>enemy is immune to ability damage
Your move?
Kinda just moving the goalpost here. Of course using ability damage again something that's immune to it is moronic, just like using mind affecting effects against targets that are immune to it.
It's a real concern. I'm too lazy to go through the entire bestiary of WotR, but there should be a lot of enemies immune to both poisons and ability damage, and almost none that are immune only to poisons (on the second thought, fey and lesser demons). Owlcats will give us a way to ignore poison immunity but not ability damage immunity, if an enemy has both, then poisons are once again useless.
We need more poison types with more interesting effects besides "d4 damage per turn to <statname>" and better ways to apply them.
As of now, they're not worth the investment in the slightest.
Do what this guy does
>Also where the FRICK is the make-armor-not-shit feat
Here, up to you to decide if it's good or not
Armor Focus (Mythic)
Light
Assault - Your designed your light armor to ideally fit for your combat style. When you wearing light armor and finessable melee weapons, you gain attack bonus equal to your weared armor bonus to attack with finessable melee weapons.
Avoidance - When you wear light armor your max dex bonus increases to your myhic rank, also you gain 5% per mythic rank chance to dodge any attack, made against you
Endurance - "When you wear light armor you gain spell resistance equial to it's armor bonus, this spell resistance stacks with existing spell resistance
Medium
Assault - You master armor combat and midify your armor with spikes , when you successfully attack in melee combat while wearing medium armor you also deal additional 1d6+ armor bonus to AC piercing damage
Avoidance - When you wear medium armor your max dex bonus to AC is equial to your constitution modifier if it's hier
Endurance - When you wear medium armor you gain half of your weared armor AC bonus to AC and no longer reduce your speed
Heavy
Assault - You master armor combat and midify your armor with sharp blades , when you successfully attack in melee combat while wearing heavy armor you also deal additional 1d6+ armor bonus to AC slashing damage
Avoidance - When you wear heavy armor you loose your dexterity bonus to AC, making your character flat-footed in combat, but add half of your strength bonus to AC.
Endurance - When you wear heavy armor you gain special armor damage reduction wich stacks with existing damage reductions and equial to half armor AC + half Mythic rank (Both values are rounded UP)
Man. Seeing that wall of text and waiting so long, I expected something real nice.
But this kinda sucks.
Archmage is up to 14 AC on any character by just not wearing armor, equivalent to +5 full plate. It costs a mythic ability, so basically the same cost as these new mythic feats. And you get your FULL dex bonus as AC. And, no impact on skill checks.
Heavy Avoid. This is +12 AC if you have 60 str. It sounds nice. But this is the equivalent of having 34 dex on the archmage using character. Who would have more than that if using dex for damage, as you would str if using this feat. And don't forget that dex also boosts initiative and reflex saves. Str let's you... carry more masterwork longswords.
Medium Avoid. Absolute garbage. You'd need 22 con, just to gain 1 extra AC from dex out of this feat (mithral breastplaste allows for 5 ac from dex). And the armor itself, is weaker than archmage. If it allowed you to gain AC from CON as well, instead of DEX, then this might be something of real interest.
Light Avoid. You get the full dex bonus to AC, practically at least unless really pushing the dex, as with archmage. But light armor has much less AC than archmage offers. Slowly building up to free perma displacement is a nice extra though, for any run where you can't get this otherwise. And worth the less AC if you're not starved for it.
This is without considering that if you have archmage, you very likely will be picking up that monk splash which is just insane value and unavailable to armored dudes, who with few exceptions (the actually good capstones) have nothing of comparative value on offer.
Do you use AI for making your portraits?
No, I can make them myself.
Or at least when I decide not to be a lazy motherfricker.
Post one
That's the problem, I'm still a lazy motherfricker.
I swear my next character is getting one.
What the hell do we have to so to convince the Owltards to produce sexy waifu DLCs.
Tell them in the surveys, they’re a small enough company that they might actually listen.
nta, but in the last surver I took part in, I made it very clear that every single game needs an evil woman to romance
You know every fricking crpg has that already?
Not really.
Also, doesn't hurt to remind them.
every game needs a lawful evil man for be to leglock tp make him cum inside
Behead homosexuals
>everything on sale except last sarkorians
>people still replying to frog schizo 2 years later
what is wrong with you morons?
it's like a trainwreck you can't look away from
