Holy hell lads, the frick did I just go through? Kuro was best girl, but I'm glad that mc was actually getting some from Anulis when she was in town. The fake out happy ending at the end of the Final Chapter actually caught me off guard and the Postscript was one hell of a rollercoaster. Are we still in the eternal slumber? I made sure to kill as many enemies with hip attack as I possibly could once I had access to boards, if I have to die someday, I hope my death is similar.
wat is this
As far as I can tell, a game about autism and doing anything and everything for your oneitis AND all the homies.
It looks interesting, would you say it was worth the $25?
I enjoyed every single ones of those ninety hours, but you should know going into it that early game is about blocking effectively and late game is about abusing iframes during spell casting. You can't ungabunga this unless you grind stats using all of the little progression systems.
thanks lads. I'm going to give it a go based on your recommendations.
Many anon's GOTY 2023.
Should I get the Baker's Daughter's DLC right away, or give myself some time off before playing it?
I wouldn't bother with it until you are done with the main game. It's good, but is a separate thing that expects you to know how to play already.
I paid about $6 in Vietnam and yes
my girlfriend is Vietnamese so I will trust your opinion Vietbro
It's actually annoying how cute Kuro is, despite not being MC's love interest
At least it's entirely possible he fricked her during that one night in chapter 4 when everyone got drunk to high heavens
Anulis has a big heart, I'm sure she let's him slip off a couple times a month for the KuroShiro threeway, and they have each other on the nights he's not around.
>Anulis has a big heart, I'm sure she let's him slip off a couple times a month
Last time she got jealous she flew into a homicidal rage and killed all your friends so I don't think that's true
Best girl by miles
Does anyone have any screens of the nun in Rispadar? That girl really needs a lover, too.
Shiro (without earrings) is hotter.
wrong
Dude. Your game is shit. Attacks are three fricking frames. Go choke on sushi and have a nice day you grifting Jap c**t.
This guy is mad because he didn't have the strength to do it for her.
Is this Todd wanting us to buy another copy of Skyrim instead of enjoying cheap Japanese ludokino?
Ok, shill.
How many "Love" can I get? I've just started chapter 8 and I've got 2 so far. Also frick chapter 7, I didn't need to feel like shit today
you get 3 from the story and should have them all by now. one from kuro in 4, one from shiro in 5, and one from the baker's daughter in 6/7 when the town is attacked
you can grind infinite later as rare drops, needing to grind 1 if you got all of those. So you'll need to get 2.
Thanks, I missed the first one. It's good to know I can grind for it later
For me it's the Baker's Daughter
Baker's gymnast.
Some serious graphical ghosting going on there
Is this you?
He's just me fr fr
>main game is a 70 hour long ludokino schizo japanese story
>dlc side game cuts the bullshit and goes straight to autistic schizo japanese gameplay
what a perfect duo
Whats your best final boss kill time? I'm hovering at about 9 secs myself.
it's pretty fast
Kamige
>do everything in the DLC
>check achievements
>there was one for beating kai when he appears in the cave
>it's missable
well that sucks
I'm on the postscript final dungeon on impossible, just gotta finish the arena (currently on Allstars) and grind love for Anulis and boards.
I kept Berserk on all game the moment I got it and mostly used magic to get rid of projectiles.
>it and mostly used magic to get rid of projectiles.
Instead of using that, i like to have the "energy drain" thing so i can heal from them. once i equipped that thing i never took it off
He's playing Zerker, so healing isn't really an option for him. The iframes are strong, though, especially with 4x damage. One well landed Astroberry Jam could oneshot anything in the game with the right set up.
>Astroberry jam
is that a thing in the main game? dont tell me ive been through the whole thing without finding this
it's a board-only spell, which replaces one of your spells
oh i see
What carried me through Postscript was piercing shot
>instantly deleted the snake god offspring because its a long motherfricker
>200k damage against the huge disk thing of the final boss
it's the final light spell with the board upgrade.
No NG+. I don't think there's anything permanently missable in the base game. there's 3 "love" you can get while playing thought the game and you'll need to grind rare drops if you miss them. The second love is tied to a boss as well, but even if you miss it I believe you'll end up fighting it later anyways. In the dlc there's a boss fight after that second stratum that you only get once chance at, and you get an achievement for winning.
The stick just gives you an ability that makes you gain mastery faster. Later enemies give more mastery so you can get it easily later.
>No NG+.
Guess I need to make 2 save files each chapter so I won't mess up just in case.
>The stick just gives you an ability that makes you gain mastery faster. Later enemies give more mastery so you can get it easily later.
Noted. I think I need to balance my stats if I want an easier time mastering that stick.
Oh damn, sounds fun. I really signed up for some crazy shit after I played the demo.
>I really signed up for some crazy shit after I played the demo.
strap in, the game goes places
Hell yeah, just the perfect game after pouring 1000 hours in Dungeon Travelers 2 and 2-2 and 170 hours in Trails into Reverie.
Some action RPG kino to keep my blood pumping is just what I need.
with the postscript upgrades you can get so stupidly busted that Berserk is not even necessary to dump shit tons of damage
makes the final boss too easy sadly
I did it bros.
The master fight was a lot easier compared to all stars
All stars is genuinely the hardest encounter in the game. congrats
is this suppose to be YS III for ps2, the gameplay i saw so far makes me remember that game
>another shill thread
Just started playing this. Hell difficulty is wrecking me but its fun, but thats because I go full Luck type. Gameplay reminds me of Wanderers of Ys in PS2.
Enemies starts dropping formulas on me but I don't know exactly how this works. Is there an in game bestiary to track of enemy drops or they'll just drop randomly based on locations?
there's 5 blueprints that drop in each chapter, and you can backtrack for them later if you need to. You can get a list maybe 2/3 of the way through the game.
Alright, then I guess its just one more formula in Chapter 1. I got 2 weapons, a shield and an armor formula and crafting them helps alot in surviving the cave. Hell mode seems to be just right in difficulty that getting mobbed will kill you in seconds.
Is there any missables in game? Also is there an NG+ in case you miss stuff? And whats the deal with the tree branch having a really slow mastery rate?
No missables in the base game to my knowledge 'cause you can backtrack.
As for NG+ it's a bit of a spoil but if you really want to know, the story continues in the NG+ so I don't know if you can call it a real NG+
>people who play the main game and dlc on anything but impossible
ishiggy
how was I supposed to know you out scale everything by the end of the game
I think Hell is fine. I just don't understand why Keizo made so the game pauses during casting in DLC's Hell. I know you can disable it, but I forgot how and by the time I found how I got way too used to it.
Do you guys prefer the spell that summons the dark dragon with or without the board upgrade?
without the summon is more badass
My dark spell of choice was Magic Broom so I could buff my magic to silly numbers.
Cringe
Cringe? That was KINO of the highest order
Ludo.
Well, do you?
Is Kuro implying that Shiro's pipsqueak form is "petite"?
I never understood it either, she is more of a shortstack than a petite girl.
>you two can't stop what's coming
>but she can
>her superpower?
>giant breasts
tit size directly correlates with magic power
old man sage is the only outlier
Maybe for men it is the size of their balls that correlates with it and the sage has a giant tumor down there
How do I put the guard to sleep in chapter 7, bros?
Once you've gotten the herb from beating the dragon boss to the right, synthesize it with Gunpowder into a Sleeping Aid. Think you need to talk to the cemetary npc to be clued in about said herb.
This will also let you get past the guard in Rispadar, and Air Surf + triple jump over for a chest.
>dragon boss to the right
Oh shit does that appear near the boat after I do the dialogue shit? I turned it off but I'll check later. Thanks homie.
>Holy hell lads, the frick did I just go through?
An extremely boring and repetitive game.
haha holy shit
congrats you have now won the game
everything instantly dies whenever you enter a room
what item is that pie? i don't see it in the crafting list
Tsk tsk. Seems like someone has been skipping his arena battles.
thank god i decided to go back and do all the things i've missed before chapter 6 ty bros
How are you liking the game so far?
Also, what difficulty are you playing on?
absolutely love it didn't expect this much soul to ooze out of it constantly but i'm glad it does, planning on 100%ing it, i'm playing on impossible.
>planning on 100%ing it
>i'm playing on impossible.
Based
Yeah, ASTLIBRA is a one of a kind for sure
That's the chocolate pie anon, better start baking
Question, is Ec Stasia the strongest weapon in the DLC?
I've been saving up my materials.
Yeah, for either a physical or magical build.
Every other staff but Cadeceus suffers from the lower-rank magic penalty, and aiming it is ass, whereas that sword's extra attack can scale to Command Claw damage output with bigger range with enough MAG.
Then it's time to beef this baby up so I can murder the final boss in under a second.
Couldn't get past the goblin cave. What a slog of a game.
Before I call you a fricking casual, what difficulty were you playing on?
I am ready for the last stratum.
uhhhhhh
It's for the final boss of the DLC
He has an instantkill attack and an attack that heals you, equipping it reverses the effects
bro, your reflect spam?
Somehow it absolutely counters the death laser
I'M GOING TO ASTRAEA
>finished dlc on impossible
>also 2x the final boss
>somehow still missing the gem for the final sword
>still need 50+ tissues for lollipop
well frick this shit
Check your books, it's not that bad
I think the gem was from mastering the arena equipment for the rope and iron bar key and fighting the boss you reach with those.
Never mind, I had to give the armor to mom.
Yeah I forgot about that.
Haven't had a single love drop for me.
Is it because I have that accessory that ups board rate?
You want rare boards, but also don't want to lower the drop rate of anything else. So remove the Tablet of Detection and optionally equip the Tablet of Rebellion to lower board chance. The following should be safe to equip.
>Ability / Special Goggles (stat or special pieces, and based on how they work in Gaiden, seem to lower the drop of special or stat pieces respectively)
>Bandit's Gloves (items)
>KEIZO Emblem (boards for your current gear)
Bring Polin and you can investigate spots that may yield Love as well.
I've heard they only drop from the 5 chests that spawn after you beat a boss. Which is how I got my 1 but no idea if it's really true.
pretty sure
is true so you just pick Kuro and speedrun bosses until you get enough drops
love seems to be a separate overwriting roll like boards so the boards accessory doesn't matter
DO NOT OPEN UNTIL YOU'VE BEATEN THE DLC
I fricking love this game, man
starts spilling his spaghetti when she thanks him and asks to rest together
What a cutie
He was just a random butthole, I thought the same as you where I thought he'd be important but no he's just some dude who wanted to kill a bunch of people for no reason. It's pretty out of place when every other minor villain like Colonel Frog at least have an explanation as to who they are
I did it.
DLC was good.
WE ARE LIKE RAINBOWS
How many hidden items are there in the main game? I only found the one with a Bow and the Music Box.
there's a bunch of hidden chests. You can get an ability relatively early on that gives you a chest count for each screen so they shouldn't be too hard to find as you go along
>Missed it
FRICK.
Should i just start a new game on easy and blast through everything?
That's what I did for that one, got it done in about 1 hour or so.
I have a save right before the boss I can upload it if you want...
That would be very based of you
https://gofile.io/d/IbkSho
It's save number 120
Just put it in
C:Users[USERNAME]AppDataLocalASTLIBRASAVE
Gottem.
>Comes with a missable accessory too
Keizo you sick bastard
That accessory is so fricking good too once you get the gunhammer.
Anyone has the save file for final boss on difficult+?
