I bought a cheap 2nd hand Series S with 2 controllers last week for 200 bucks and I have it set up now with emulators to play everything from the NES up to the PS2 and Gamecube. Fairly comfy tbh.

That's basically been my motto since 2014. Fps and RPGs seem dead but decent strategy games still come out like Battle Brothers for example. So I just sit back and enjoy the old school classics and wait and hope for the day a new good game comes out, it can't be that hard to make fun and interesting video games. If it gets bad enough maybe I'll go into game design and makr my own game.
