I always liked them. Except Firis her game was kind of bad. Then Ryza's games came out, especially Ryza 3, and Firis didn't seem so bad.
>specially Ryza 3
I still haven't played Ryza 3 because I didn't care about the characters enough to have to play through a 3rd game with them. I usually eat up the female friend that's gay for MC, but even Klaudia is boring.
firis game is GOOD
frick YOU
At first I didn't like it and seemed boring but one day I had nothing to do and tried to complete Sophie and it just clicked I binged the whole trilogy and then Sophie 2. Believe it or not I like Firis a lot
How is sophie 2, everyone says is really good compared to the original.
Sophie 1 is ungodly boring but it picks up from Firis onward. I wish they'd actually try Firis' game design again and no, Ryza 3 isn't really open world, it's just a linear game with huge areas that even get smaller and smaller as the game goes on because they probably realized they were pointless.
It is. Great alchemy, combat and the weather change gimmick is fun to mess with, kinda like a 3D Zelda Oracle of Seasons.
The story is trash (grandma turns out to be a shady lesbian) and farming materials becomes very weird since a lot of items are only available during certain day and night cycles, yet the book doesn't explain that, so you have to guess which item appears at which time, and where.
Ryza 3 is the only one that isn't garbage due to exploration. However practically every area relies on late game alchemy for short-cuts, so you are left running through entire areas with enemies far higher level than you are.
there's no reason to explore at all in ryza 3, that's what makes it bad. It's just bland open world that would have been much better using smaller areas like the previous games. The level scaling is lame too.
>farming materials becomes very weird since a lot of items are only available during certain day and night cycles, yet the book doesn't explain that, so you have to guess which item appears at which time, and where.
Just open the map and check which areas have which materials, it even lets you sort by wheather condition. If there are still question marks then you're missing materials and you likely need to upgrade your tools. God forbid having to explore a tiny bit.
>really good compared to the original
The original was disastrous aside small town vibes. Pacing, grinding and gameplay was worst the previous game on every aspect
Sophie 2 it is in fact, great. Pacing and recipes unlocks is somehow as bad as the original
>grandma turns out to be a shady lesbian
You didnt play the game
>so you are left running through entire areas with enemies far higher level than you are.
You can actually unlock most of "late game alchemy" by being efficient on alchemy. In fact its meant to br played after the other twp games hence you are already experienced with the maps, alchemy and items
>there's no reason to explore at all in ryza 3
You get better materials and quests
>would have been much better using smaller areas like the previous games
Filtered brainlet
>You get better materials and quests
not really. Everything is very samey and there's very little reason to try and fully explore an area since there's nothing interesting to find.
Idk Shallie and Sophie 1 are S tier for me. The black smith and skill system in Sophie kick ass
Sophie is peak sexo
How can that be when there is no girl in the series sexier than Mimi (Meruru ver.)?
Totori quit bragging about your wife. I'm jealous enough without you rubbing it in.
I'm not bragging. Also, here's a picture of me hugging Mimi.
Peter took this picture
Moments before the AAV (Arland adult video)
Australia will not take kindly to this information
Shopie cute
how is that pocky floating there?
The same way cigarettes float when cartoon characters yell.
I always knew pocky was really just the gateway to smoking addiction
I always liked Mysterious. Firis is my favorite Atelier (gameplay wise). I think Sophie 2 is the weakest of them. The story felt pointless and for a dreamworld it's really bland
sophie 2 had the best gameplay.
What do you like about Firis?
I'm struggling to make decent gear because all the ingredients I find are trash.
I really liked how they implemented the time limit and that you can take multiple paths to the big city. And even after the test there's a lot more left to do to get to the ending. Don't remember having much problems with crafting gear, though unlocking recipes wasn't very straightforward
nta but on top of unlocking recipes being obtuse sometimes you also then need to grind making the recipe to unlock trait transfer on it. It helps if you know about the alchemy tables you can buy to increase the exp gain but it still mean it takes a large chunk of time to make anything decent. When you're first playing you have no idea how long it should take to get to the city so spending a month making good gear looks like a questionable thing to do, even though it's actually fine.
I can't quite agree with myself on how to rank Firis/L&S/Sophie 2, but Sophie 1 is definitely my least favorite of the Mysterious games.
Nobody thinks Mysterious is bad. Dusk is the worst.
nobody said that and the only bad atelier game was ryza 3 because even 2 was made just to milk american coomergays with muh booba and muh ass
also lulua>every other atelier and shut up
Mysterious is pretty damn mediocre. like Sophie is "okay" but not great, and everything else is worse than Sophie. in terms of ranking the mysterious games it's
Sophie>Lydie>>>>>>>
I've heard good things about Sophie 2 so i haven't judged that one yet, but the people who like it are also largely modern era atelier fans so i'm not expecting much from it.
>in terms of ranking the mysterious games
lulua isn't even a mysterious game dude
basically admitting you haven't played Lulua. it's a 1 to 1 clone of Sophie with a very very thin coat of Arland colored paint sprinkled on top.
ok then what are the similarities moron? because the alchemy you know the part that's in the name of every game aint it chief
>Alchemist girl finds a magic book that teaches her new recipes and also allows her to connect to her soulmate, an ancient alchemical life form
yeah man, every game has that plotline right?
>Alchemist girl finds a magic book that teaches her new recipes and also allows her to connect to her soulmate, an ancient alchemical life form
have you even played the game? because to me it sounds like you just watched *insert some gay's woman's youtube video* review
When Black folk got obsessed with Ryza
I want to violate her so bad I'd make a figurine out of it
Mysterious is KINO
Dusk is KINO
Dont believe Arland gays, they are mentally ill
Dusk contains the best game in the series, followed by two semi-trainwrecks.
Ayesha is mid, you need to be alchemy lv 20 to even use the system properly.
Escha and Shallie are where the series got good, gay
People don't like it?
I have only played Sophie 1 and 2 and Firis and I loved both Sophie games. Still struggling to get into Firis even though I passed the test. Now I'm just kinda aimlessly wandering around the world.
Why do Arland gays always wank on about shipping, yuri, human semen, or Sterk but never acknowledge how lackluster the gameplay is?
Its like all they care about is their own weird headcannon . Mysterious and Dusk dont get this treatment
the gameplay is more focused on time management than complex alchemy so it really isn't that interesting. Even the devs don't understand since they replaced rorona's interesting alchemy in the remake with meruru's
At least Lulua has fun alchemy for professional autists such as myself.
>this was turned into alcohol
I'm envious of the guy that took a drink out of the part that had Totori's juices absorbed in it.
Yes, now post more Sophie.
Better than ryza for sure, even the first game is better than ryza 1 because it has a clear goal with a big reward
Is Ryza good for something beside her body?
