I don't know if the game will actually go EoS, it all depend on how "tolerant" KT is before they decide to pull the plug as there's gacha out there who only make 50k a month (which isn't much by gacha standards) and still exist.
I enjoyed both. Although 2 was my first one so i have better feelings for that one. One of the very few games where i had no gripe doing a 2nd playthrough, since both sides had very entertaining party members. The games combat was just so fricking good to me, it felt so active despite it being turn based.
Too early to say but december will be the real test since it's a stacked month for all gacha and it force people to prioritize where their money is going to be spent.

The game runs a bit better on my device after New Year update. The loading times and battle animations are faster. Still a bit too many unnecessary screen though.
It took me from release until this month (about 4 month) to get 260 spark points although I'm missing some free gems since I'm just playing casually. Spark point carryover to future banners (at least in JP version) and you can spark old limited characters despite their gacha already ended
guessing out of my ass butt for me it’s every character is basically limited since they don’t get added to any of the new banners unless it’s a rerun of the banner that character came from which they don’t give you any free pulls. I think now they have some of them available only if you reach the spark amount. the weapon and gear you craft have different levels of traits so you have to keep making them until you get the right ones. there are tickets in the shop you can buy with gems but if you use the tickets to pull then it doesn’t count towards the spark pity but the only upside is you get to do 2 ten multi pulls instead of 1 for the same amount of gems. the only two good things are free daily pulls so you can be extremely lucky and get all characters without having to waste any gems for them and there’s a daily stage where you can get shards of the characters you have on the team so you don’t have to worry about needing to pull for dupes of characters but dupes of cards are better but I don’t know if they’re required or not
yes and she is core. you should at least wait till the last day of the banner to whale since every banner has free daily single pull. she’s in one of the early banners. like I said new characters don’t appear in other banners only the initial characters from the start of the game although every character is in the spark pity or at least in jp version

Don't know but from what I heard Japan isn't really liking it, just going to enjoy it for what it is right now because I can already see the EoS down the road. As for the gameplay it's the same thing you've seen 100 times with turn based gachas, if you played Star Rail, same thing except turn order is where you get your ults.

The synthesis is fricking awful. Each character has one trait tied to them, you pick characters to make an item with, and the game randomly selects two of the characters to apply the traits to the item and that's it. So making good items isn't about planning, it's about getting good characters from the gacha and getting good RNG. It's also timegated.
Combat is each character getting three skills, normally everyone only has access to two. The timeline has random buffs pop up on it like some other game I can't recall and you use either skill 1 which is faster or skill 2 which is slower to manipulate the timeline to try make those buffs hit your team instead of the enemies. The only time you can use your third skill is when a character lands on a burst buff which makes it available. You also need to charge up item uses and can use them to shift the timeline by 1. Enemies have HP and stun gauges and take more damage when you deplete their stun gauge. That's basically it.
I wasn't expecting much but it's even more shallow than I thought it'd be, and the menus are annoying as frick because of loading screens everywhere. The only good thing here is that they finally figured out hair physics on the models.

It took forever for them to confirm that Sterk and Rorona were an item. I don't know how much gachagays will rage when realizing that the two are paired together.
Underplay is an understatement, they went about it in the safest most sterile way imaginable despite both the west, the east and Gust itself being accepting of it.
This is a pretty big "don't think about it" story. Characters apparently don't mind being pulled out of their worlds and pass by people they know without saying a thing.

15 minutes before I would've quit rerolling, I got what I wanted. Corneria, Resna alt + 1. And what a +1. Firis. Also a Corneria dupe, but whatever. Given that my alternative "fine" pull was Corneria, Firis + 1 this is ideal.
Literally none of the best girls are in, in a mattering way. Cordelia is like a 1 star, Mimi isn't in, Wilbell only has her young version..(?), I haven't seen anything about Il, no Lulua or the rocket-launcher girl of her game. Of course no Lydie and Sue either.

For what the game is it's okay.
At first I kind of hated what they did to us, giving us this as a 'mainline' game but I can see the things that I like about it like the typical atelier style story, the overall production of the game and the combat and I can tolerate and ignore the gacha elements.
The excessive screen navigation and loading times between everything is really bad though.

events give like 1500-3k maybe, and they will come shortly because banners were short early on, but outside of that, thats all you get. Generally thats pretty good until you pull dupes/memorias instead of the new chars

Items get consumed for the single fight/dungeon depending on which content you're doing. They have x amount of uses until you can't use it anymore but they don't disappear from your inventory. Think of it as a refillable item. And yes they add an extra turn to the bar
good statstick usually. I wouldnt rank them up unless you can afford to do so, you'll end up using more than 5 characters that need the proper stats. You should absolutely never rank up the 11.75% speed stat ones(think they start off at 4% speed at lvl 1).
the other way around, the speed ones are broken that you would never fuse them because there are not much memorias with that much speed. You only really rank up when you have an abundance of similar memorias that fulfill the same stat you want for phys/magic etc, youll prolly understand later game when you use more chars.
The other guy is moronic, you should definitely rank them up. Even the SSR memorias have total garbage traits attached to them at level 1 that get massively improved with each rank boost.

I like the Ryza one on Escha because it has high m.atk and 29% damage on weakness stun, which she guarantees on 99% of opponents.
It's not even a friend code; it's just an invitation for new players to get 1k gems and it's a single time use. If you don't have one pick one up and use it. Most people are already connected to some1 else

For a rate-up character, 100 shards is enough to 3.5 star her immediately. 3.5-4 stars are the biggest upgrade to cost ratio.

meh the game is ultra casual and the SS rewards from time limited events are capped hard with almost no real increase over A~S
if the game began locking those event recipes behind SSing the last challenge stage i'd gripe but this is nothing

It took me from release until this month (about 4 month) to get 260 spark points although I'm missing some free gems since I'm just playing casually. Spark point carryover to future banners (at least in JP version) and you can spark old limited characters despite their gacha already ended

guessing out of my ass butt for me it’s every character is basically limited since they don’t get added to any of the new banners unless it’s a rerun of the banner that character came from which they don’t give you any free pulls. I think now they have some of them available only if you reach the spark amount. the weapon and gear you craft have different levels of traits so you have to keep making them until you get the right ones. there are tickets in the shop you can buy with gems but if you use the tickets to pull then it doesn’t count towards the spark pity but the only upside is you get to do 2 ten multi pulls instead of 1 for the same amount of gems. the only two good things are free daily pulls so you can be extremely lucky and get all characters without having to waste any gems for them and there’s a daily stage where you can get shards of the characters you have on the team so you don’t have to worry about needing to pull for dupes of characters but dupes of cards are better but I don’t know if they’re required or not

FWIW I think you can reroll on steam. There's an option to "delete player data" which I clicked and it lets you skip the tutorial.

The synthesis is fricking awful. Each character has one trait tied to them, you pick characters to make an item with, and the game randomly selects two of the characters to apply the traits to the item and that's it. So making good items isn't about planning, it's about getting good characters from the gacha and getting good RNG. It's also timegated.
Combat is each character getting three skills, normally everyone only has access to two. The timeline has random buffs pop up on it like some other game I can't recall and you use either skill 1 which is faster or skill 2 which is slower to manipulate the timeline to try make those buffs hit your team instead of the enemies. The only time you can use your third skill is when a character lands on a burst buff which makes it available. You also need to charge up item uses and can use them to shift the timeline by 1. Enemies have HP and stun gauges and take more damage when you deplete their stun gauge. That's basically it.
I wasn't expecting much but it's even more shallow than I thought it'd be, and the menus are annoying as frick because of loading screens everywhere. The only good thing here is that they finally figured out hair physics on the models.

Translation is pretty good, but they change one thing or another in terms of order, but it's pretty 1:1.

You're not wrong, but you can go straight from the home menu to synthesis by clicking the 4 squares button in the top-left corner.

You only get 50 gems from daily missions, so even in the worst case scenario you're getting 10 more daily gems from ads than from doing your dailies. PC players who don't know about this are getting fricked hard.
Are ssr memorias much worse than characters if you aren't some whale going for dupes? I didn't bother rerolling but now I'm wondering if having more characters would've been worth the effort. I figured the extra stats would pay off eventually.

For what the game is it's okay.
At first I kind of hated what they did to us, giving us this as a 'mainline' game but I can see the things that I like about it like the typical atelier style story, the overall production of the game and the combat and I can tolerate and ignore the gacha elements.
The excessive screen navigation and loading times between everything is really bad though.
What I'm basically trying to say is I'm being stockholmed into liking this game.

Totori is absolutely terrible as a unit. She's a bad healer in a battle system where everything is a DPS race.
firis kinda sucks because shes the slowest char in the game and even though her skill 2 has good damage, it also has a high wait time after usage
She has the most powerful ability in the game though: Delay.
Ok you're right. Id think she would always still move slower than the enemy, and delay being only useful for midbattle burst turn control until I saw her solo floor 30 after research.

How the hell do the items work exactly? Do they get consumed or not? There's some kind of cooldown and they change the turn order?
Items get consumed for the single fight/dungeon depending on which content you're doing. They have x amount of uses until you can't use it anymore but they don't disappear from your inventory. Think of it as a refillable item. And yes they add an extra turn to the bar

good statstick usually. I wouldnt rank them up unless you can afford to do so, you'll end up using more than 5 characters that need the proper stats. You should absolutely never rank up the 11.75% speed stat ones(think they start off at 4% speed at lvl 1).
So the speed ones just are not 'good enough' to rank up?

the other way around, the speed ones are broken that you would never fuse them because there are not much memorias with that much speed. You only really rank up when you have an abundance of similar memorias that fulfill the same stat you want for phys/magic etc, youll prolly understand later game when you use more chars.
The other guy is moronic, you should definitely rank them up. Even the SSR memorias have total garbage traits attached to them at level 1 that get massively improved with each rank boost.

The free memorias suck so do what you want. I only kept some of the free ones separated as stat sticks until I had enough decent memorias to warrant merging them.

Ehh you don't have that many memoria copies early game so Sophie's 18% skill damage probably gaps your other ones? Though it does have low atk/phys and high tankiness.
I like the Ryza one on Escha because it has high m.atk and 29% damage on weakness stun, which she guarantees on 99% of opponents.

For a rate-up character, 100 shards is enough to 3.5 star her immediately. 3.5-4 stars are the biggest upgrade to cost ratio.
