Nah, Diablo 3 was a more enjoyable experience than this dogshit. I was able to keep up in the first few seasons with a group of friends. Nobody I know actually stayed to play the game past level 30 this go around. Level scaling is such a dog shit concept the way it was implemented.
Are there any other entertaining mobile ARPGs that are decent to just pick up and mindlessly grind?
I don't want to give Activision-Blizzard money or downloads so no Immortal.
The best mobile ARPG I have played is called AnimA ARPG. It's kinda like a mix between D2 and D3. It has a really good balance in terms of fun, grind, good itemization, good classes, good combat, etc. etc.
The beginning is a little slow, but after the first 5-10 hours, it really opens up.
Yeah. I'm constantly able to find parties quickly, and all the towns are full of people ready to go at a moment's notice. It sucks. I wish it had the single digit playerbase of PoE. 🙁
This - there are no hard bosses to kill, no cool sets or uniques to get. Paragon / level seems to matter more than items. The extract power thing looks cool on paper, but is aids as you need good rolls + correct power. No build variety. It's just a grind for the sake of it to keep concurrent players high.

sort of forgotten and sort of not.
it's never been more obvious that the devs team is being scrapped together by new hires and anyone willing to take a beating from admin.
it could be so good but they truly don't understand what they are working with and don't have the talent to pull it off.
I bought it, even got the early launch(yeah, im a homosexual fir giving shitzzard any money, but its the first time since Cataclysm I've done it), actually had a blast for the first week ir two, playing the campaign and just farming around, but then around the time u reached level 60-70/world 4 i just got so fricking bored if it, I haven't launched it in a month. I don't regret it, I easily got around 80-90 hours of gameplay from it, so the money weren't completely wasted, but frick, its underwhelming after a while
Thought the season 1 will make me wanna go back, but it just seems so "meh", I didn't even bother trying it. Kinda wanted to try a sorc since she seems fun, but apparently they completely gutted her for the season. Seems like shitzzard actually bothered making a patch that drops today(?) and it fixes her(and the other classes that got shat on again), so I might actually give it a try, but if its still boring I'm just Uninstaller and won't bother with the game until an actual expansion or something.
Shit is 100gb anyway and I wanna give BG3 a try too, might at least clean up some space
Heh, I sorta don't have time anymore for infinite grinding for the sake of griding. I'm getting out and I reckon this website is getting old too. Maybe it's popular among the kids, but I fibt myself struggling to even load the game knowing there's hardly any purpose.
Season 1 mechanic is fricking awful. I feel unironic third person embarrassment for the horseshit they have produced.
They've nerfed nightmare dungeons so you can coast through them now. There's ZERO endgame content that is challenging. They nerfed the power out of most of the strong builds (funnily enough left druid/rogue/necro completely alone, no bias there) and gave it back in the form of borrowed power, a typical nublizz trope, with malignant farts. There are no builds anymore, only "barber" builds.
Blizzard have coasted by for too long on their name and the brands that they haven't given a shit about in decades. Out of touch diversity hires with zero talent. BG3 has shaken up the industry but will anything change? It will as long as morons aren't willing to throw their money at inferior products, but I won't hold my breath

The bonespear necro is pretty much the only reliable uber Lilith kill. You're dumping out 40-100m with the barber heart.
Try not lying for once in your life.
I only have 4 more levels on the baytlepass and then I can uninstall. I also decided to try fallout 76 on gamepass like a chump and after 81 levels of logging in to do chores and then logging out I'm almost free of that too. It's taken far too long but I'm going to boycot any game rhat has a battlepass in it. Make fun of me all you want for being late but at least I arrived.
The biggest problem with PD2 is the small player base. Season 1 was actually amazing in that close to 16k people played, but those numbers dwindled to less than 2k for later seasons which really impacted trading and the game economy.
It's a shame because it's the definitive version of Diablo for me now, I can't go back to vanilla D2R.
>kill mobs of enemies faster >and faster >and uh faster i guess
While you can boil a lot of games down to that, diablo embodies it. It was okay for 40 hours with a friend but I don't see how people could stomach that gameplay for much more than that.
you kill those mobs faster so you have a chance of getting that uber legendary that only a dozen people will ever see a season (and that will get thrown into the trash as soon as the season ends)
I enjoyed the campaign. Theres just nothing to do after that and its relatively short. Its level 100 cap and you finish the campaign at like level 45 and they expect you to just grind the same dungeons literally thousands of times to finish building your character for 50+ levels even though there's no content for those high level builds besides 1 boss fight
>put up changelog of their planned "fixes" on the 2nd >implement it next week
Theyre really stretching this shit out. Did all their devs leave already? Why are they taking so long to implement 1% damage reduction boosts
>Why are they taking so long to implement 1% damage reduction boosts
There's 3-4 teams working on D4 at the same time. There's 2 expansions actively being worked on in full production. There's 1 team working on one season, and another team working on another season in tandem. They explained that they basically can't really do fast changes to most of D4's problems because they have it all set up in a way where they are always 2 seasons ahead.
This has to do with how they QA test, how they need acceptance from management for things, how they need to get console certifications and approvals, etc. etc. and it basically means that all the shit that's broken in D4 like resistances, they won't be able to fix until season 3-4 at the earliest, because S1 + S2 were already 90% done when D4 launched.
I usually ignore these threads but yeah you right dude. it's been like 2 months and blizzard have already had multiple major frickups that even they have admitted were definite mistakes that have only hurt the state of the game.
just as I expected Blizzard's incompetence is what keeps D4 from being good.
D2R is probably one of the best remasters/remakes of all time. It has the original game running underneath the hood, so it stays completely true to the original, but with some much-needed QoL things, a few game improvements and better graphics.
It's a gigantic improvement of the original in almost every single way and is very worth playing. The only downside of D2R is that they removed TCP/IP, which means that D2R doesn't support some mods like the OG game does, for example Path of Diablo, Median XL, etc.
play median xl. it plays more into the end game, has a lot of positive changes that make things more fun and interesting, and a relatively healthy communication
ONCE STARFIELD COMES OUT
people will forget Diablo 4 even exists i can guarantee that.
Fricking hell >2023 >A blizzard game comes out >the release is of the same magnitude as Jagged Alliance 3 >which is like a completely different genre >different series much less popular than Diablo >in august baldur's gate comes out >it's a bugged unoptimized mess >still more popular than Diablo 4
>Dies in one hit mostly >Enemies with suppression and some other enchant combined are borderline impossible to kill at really high tiers >Butcher impossible to kill as a sorc 99% of the time
they hate sorc and it shows
meanwhile my braindead sorc or rogue friends come and just delete shit and move on with no struggles
I played sorc in pre-season until 75 or so and it was fun. Played Arc Lash with Raiment. Never had a problem killing Butcher either.
The issue is that the 80-100 segment of the game shouldn't exist until they have some actual unique content there. Should have capped the game at 80 on launch.
>The issue is that the 80-100 segment of the game shouldn't exist until they have some actual unique content there. Should have capped the game at 80 on launch.
They should have just waited the 1 more year the game needed in development, so they could have had things like set items, runewords, leaderboards + whatever actual endgame activity that leaderboards are gonna use.
>Gameplay is one of the worst things about 3.
Not that guy, but what the frick do you mean by this? One of the only things that D3 absolutely nailed is the gameplay. The combat is straight up a 9/10 due to animations, sounds, responsiveness, smoothness, flow of combat, fun abilities, etc.
the game is literally anti-fun >99% loot is pointless, dont even pick anything up thats not yellow + >gems are worthless, overbalanced to the point they add nothing to everything except the most min maxed builds >if you do pick up gems they will take up most of your inventory >doing events is pointless, they dont give legendaries so they are a waste of time >not enough skill slots, no room for ultimate, necro needs to give away 2 slots for skeletons and golems >ultimate is shit and a waste of slot except designing builds around it >NO FRICKING STASH thats easy to access >the only stash is hidden in main cities a long run away from teleport, so collecting shit feels like pain in ass >stash size is a fricking joke, like all those games should be at lest 5x bigger, if i can hoard 1000 legendaries and gems then why the frick it even exists? >enemies that can 1 hit kill you or chain stun you, enemy units have too much CC late in the game >loot stats are too "balanced", oh +1% to dmg on Wednesday between 1 and 2 am every second week or something? thanks >why cant we move gems around for free? >why are item stores still fricking pointless? >why are all store services so expensive? >why are almost all dungeons pointless?
also few annoying things >stutters like all frick unless you have 16gb vram, despite most gpus having 8gb >no way to disable visuals breaking effects like glowing necro corpses >no free camera or auto travel buttons
Anyway, to me the game feels just dated, if not for amazing visuals it feels like diablo 3 which was a simplified version of diablo 2.
A lot of its design elements seem to be leftovers from a game that dosnt exist. Why are gems are a thing if they barely do anything?
A game can be split into "leveling" and "endgame" phase, this game focuses way too much on balancing endgame builds at the cost of any fun 99% of the players will have leveling their characters.
Another game dead due to the competitive play meme.
I'm not the person you're replying to, but I have +10k hours in D2, +10k hours in D3 and 300-400 hours in D4. I fully agree with 90% of what he's saying, so I have no idea what you mean with your reply to him.
Unfortunately D4 sold 10 million copies and broke Blizzard's record for fastest 1 billion dollar reach. Blizzard also has their new semi-MMO survival game coming up which will likely sell 20-30 million copies.
>blizzshart didn't make a good game for the latest decade >reforged, immortal, overwatch 2 were literal scams >normie npcs still fall for it
Blizz drones and reddit golems are genuinely brain damaged, it's so fricking over for gaming
I hate that people who defend D3 exist, you don't even belong to the franchise imo, the story was shit, the gameplay was ass, the game was unaesthetically pleasing, the loot fricking sucked, the game just flat out fricking sucked, but your parasitic attachment to defending that shitty game will warp all reality correcting events that might right the ship and give us a functional video game so you can sit online and feel good about playing shitty video games, you people are truly fascinating creatures, you're not here to play video games, you're here to deconstruct the past and make it shitty for some reason lol
>the gameplay was ass
Why do people keep repeating this about D3? Yes, the game was fricking ass overall, but the gameplay itself was amazing. It was one of the only things that they did right.
I mean that's pretty fricking subjective it doesn't feel like a Diablo game to someone like me who enjoyed the first two, the way old Blizzard had their characters animated was unique and cool and very firmly a Blizzard staple, Diablo 3 killed that entire aesthetic and had everyone running around like they were in Naruto or about to take the fattest shit possible by the wide stances they would take that looks so frickin unnatural, you people like changes to the franchise that utterly and completely diminish it and were the key factors for it becoming popular in the 1st place, so your Nu-devs could even get the chance or be in positions of power to defile it lol
You don't see the irony in that at all lol?
>I mean that's pretty fricking subjective it doesn't feel like a Diablo game to someone like me who enjoyed the first two
I loved D1 and have +10k hours in D2 as well. D3's gameplay/combat was still great. Like I said, it's one of the few things they did right.
Maybe you should come back to reality and understand that most people were completely fine with the builder-spender type gameplay because it was 2012 and we didn't have +10 years of games doing that at that point.

It was mad lame bro and a total let down compared to the past games, it was the removal of fun and a sense of freedom and variety to not actually be locked into a wow type rotation, it made the game feel more repetitive even if the data or culture didn't bare that out in reality, it was a thumb in your eye that didn't have to happen because it's a fricking arpg and we already have health and mana fricking pools rofl the devs who made D3 and D4 are incompetent and not gamers, they don't have enough skill or knowledge in their entire combined teams of the past 20 years to equal the quality and thought Blizzard North was pouring into their game in the 90's rofl they couldn't even get a functional battlenet for the D2R release lol
>single player game that you complete once and forget >vs >game with large updates and changes every 3-4 months and even larger expansions every year
That's an unfair comparison.
They can't even make core systems in the game like resistances work. What a god damn joke lol. Blizz has about a year to try and salvage something to milk before PoE2 and then it wont matter anyway. It'll be a small group of grifters and D4 wiener riders and the rest of the people that want to play an ARPG will move on. Grim dawn is about to release a new update and Last Epoch is actually pretty good as well. You can't get away with releasing dog shit GAAS with the amount of competent competition thats out there.
It may have worked with the WoW drones because of sunken cost but D4 is a brand new game. 3 month seasons eliminate any kind of attachment people have to their characters for the most part. Does anyone actually play eternal now that seasons are out? Wtf is the point?
I feel sorry for my friends who are too scared to try new games but will gobble down any marketed release like its the second coming. I know a guy who bought D4 on PS5 xbox and pc. I asked him why and all he could say is that they sync up character data.
It is very scary to me that none of the characters felt fun to play in D4. How do you frick up 5 different classes so spectacularly. The one class that felt fun to play (sorc) was nerfed after each patch that it is almost unusable even while leveling now.
Everyone nopee out when they realized it was a manufactured fun grindfest designed to keep you online to increase the likelihood of you purchasing in game currency. Lat blizzard game I purchase, not even fun to play with friends.
>Lat blizzard game I purchase
Blizzard is about to announce their new semi-MMO survival game that's like WoW + RUST, that they have had all their best employees work on for the last 6-7 years. Once that game comes out in 2024/2025 and sells 30 million copies, you'll be drawn right back into Blizzard's arms.
console player who bought the physical copy, and just sold it after he was done having fun with the game. the game had its moments. I loved playing barbarian and wrecking people in PVP, while whirlinding through NMD 100 with relative ease.
I doubt I'll touch it again. maybe if a worthwhile expansion drops.
I dont want to go to Hell

nah
first, d4 was unfortunately successful, so you are wrong on that. second, bald gay is literally fotm same as d4. not taking over anything.
The difference is that once the virtue signalers get tired of the combat in a week, they'll stop playing. D4 is still packed with players.

It's a gigantic improvement of the original in almost every single way and is very worth playing. The only downside of D2R is that they removed TCP/IP, which means that D2R doesn't support some mods like the OG game does, for example Path of Diablo, Median XL, etc.
play median xl. it plays more into the end game, has a lot of positive changes that make things more fun and interesting, and a relatively healthy communication
medianxl plays more like a campaign than a ladder based arpg. Layouts don't regenerate and mandatory boss charms make for shitty seasons
Low effort Blizzard trash, forgotten?
What a shocker.
ONCE STARFIELD COMES OUT
people will forget Diablo 4 even exists i can guarantee that.
Fricking hell
>2023
>A blizzard game comes out
>the release is of the same magnitude as Jagged Alliance 3
>which is like a completely different genre
>different series much less popular than Diablo
>in august baldur's gate comes out
>it's a bugged unoptimized mess
>still more popular than Diablo 4
HOLY SHIT BLIZZSHIT IS FINISHED HAHAHAHAHAAHAH
As shitty as D4 is, it still sold 10 million copies and shattered records.
no no it's on the level of Jagged Alliance 3 Blizzard is going bankrupt right now Bobby Kotick is outside my window begging for a slice of bread
what's going to be poe2's excuse?
i would love to play the game if only they didn't prove they didn't playtest sorc at all in high nightmare tiers
>Dies in one hit mostly
>Enemies with suppression and some other enchant combined are borderline impossible to kill at really high tiers
>Butcher impossible to kill as a sorc 99% of the time
they hate sorc and it shows
meanwhile my braindead sorc or rogue friends come and just delete shit and move on with no struggles
1 aesthetics
2 loot
3 gameplay
4 graphics
Here, the perfect Diablo game.
D2R already exists so rest is redundand.
Only 4.
Aesthetics are still better in 1.
Gameplay is still better in 3.
Gameplay is one of the worst things about 3.
>Gameplay is one of the worst things about 3.
Not that guy, but what the frick do you mean by this? One of the only things that D3 absolutely nailed is the gameplay. The combat is straight up a 9/10 due to animations, sounds, responsiveness, smoothness, flow of combat, fun abilities, etc.
the game is literally anti-fun
>99% loot is pointless, dont even pick anything up thats not yellow +
>gems are worthless, overbalanced to the point they add nothing to everything except the most min maxed builds
>if you do pick up gems they will take up most of your inventory
>doing events is pointless, they dont give legendaries so they are a waste of time
>not enough skill slots, no room for ultimate, necro needs to give away 2 slots for skeletons and golems
>ultimate is shit and a waste of slot except designing builds around it
>NO FRICKING STASH thats easy to access
>the only stash is hidden in main cities a long run away from teleport, so collecting shit feels like pain in ass
>stash size is a fricking joke, like all those games should be at lest 5x bigger, if i can hoard 1000 legendaries and gems then why the frick it even exists?
>enemies that can 1 hit kill you or chain stun you, enemy units have too much CC late in the game
>loot stats are too "balanced", oh +1% to dmg on Wednesday between 1 and 2 am every second week or something? thanks
>why cant we move gems around for free?
>why are item stores still fricking pointless?
>why are all store services so expensive?
>why are almost all dungeons pointless?
also few annoying things
>stutters like all frick unless you have 16gb vram, despite most gpus having 8gb
>no way to disable visuals breaking effects like glowing necro corpses
>no free camera or auto travel buttons
Anyway, to me the game feels just dated, if not for amazing visuals it feels like diablo 3 which was a simplified version of diablo 2.
A lot of its design elements seem to be leftovers from a game that dosnt exist. Why are gems are a thing if they barely do anything?
A game can be split into "leveling" and "endgame" phase, this game focuses way too much on balancing endgame builds at the cost of any fun 99% of the players will have leveling their characters.
Another game dead due to the competitive play meme.
Half of that is lies, the other half being someone who shouldn't play games in the genre.
I'm not the person you're replying to, but I have +10k hours in D2, +10k hours in D3 and 300-400 hours in D4. I fully agree with 90% of what he's saying, so I have no idea what you mean with your reply to him.
You're probably moronic.
Amazing argument.
Leave it to a moron to not understand.
>Half of that is lies,
Ok, name them
>leftovers from a game that dosnt exist
Yeah...
2 > 3 > 1
What is Dilator 4 going to do to stop POE1's new league which is coming out in less than 2 weeks?
You are the only poe 1 here.
It only had a playerbase because of the Twitch promo. Once that ended, the game died instantly.
-98% viewership on twitch
-95% players
This is WITHOUT any competition. Path of Exile new season doesn't start for another 10 days, and PoE 2 isn't even out yet.
Diablo 3 took 1 year+ to reach the state Diablo 4 is now.
Diablo 3 didn't have seasons until 2 YEARS after release.
nuBlizzard games are all completely astroturfed. Only the most mazed bucks who never play anything outside of Blizzslop know this is the case.
Dead franchise

Unfortunately D4 sold 10 million copies and broke Blizzard's record for fastest 1 billion dollar reach. Blizzard also has their new semi-MMO survival game coming up which will likely sell 20-30 million copies.
It doesn't matter how well it sold. This is gaas and they planned to milk it for as long as possible but the game literally died after 2 months.
dude it's 70$, ofc it matters how much it sold; it's not a pure gaas they'll be selling xpacs too later down the line
>It doesn't matter how well it sold
Is this a new cope?
>blizzshart didn't make a good game for the latest decade
>reforged, immortal, overwatch 2 were literal scams
>normie npcs still fall for it
Blizz drones and reddit golems are genuinely brain damaged, it's so fricking over for gaming
Yes, the itemisation is garbage and boring. The scaling and xp progression is all off as well.
D3 is actually a better game.
'
newest flavor of the month just dropped.
Baldur's Gay 3 baybee!!
D3 Isn't as good as D2, but it's still better than D4.
it's the same phenomenon as Star Wars prequel defenders - they grew up on it so they think it's the best thing ever
>the gameplay was ass
You don't see the irony in that at all lol?
or be = to be*
>I mean that's pretty fricking subjective it doesn't feel like a Diablo game to someone like me who enjoyed the first two
I loved D1 and have +10k hours in D2 as well. D3's gameplay/combat was still great. Like I said, it's one of the few things they did right.
bro no one likes the builder spender playstyle get a fricking grip and come back to a reality
Maybe you should come back to reality and understand that most people were completely fine with the builder-spender type gameplay because it was 2012 and we didn't have +10 years of games doing that at that point.
It was mad lame bro and a total let down compared to the past games, it was the removal of fun and a sense of freedom and variety to not actually be locked into a wow type rotation, it made the game feel more repetitive even if the data or culture didn't bare that out in reality, it was a thumb in your eye that didn't have to happen because it's a fricking arpg and we already have health and mana fricking pools rofl the devs who made D3 and D4 are incompetent and not gamers, they don't have enough skill or knowledge in their entire combined teams of the past 20 years to equal the quality and thought Blizzard North was pouring into their game in the 90's rofl they couldn't even get a functional battlenet for the D2R release lol
blizzoids are simply not human
ROFLMAO
it's ok, microsoft will save actiblizz. we'll finally go back go when we were young. any day now.
>it's ok, microsoft will save actiblizz
>single player game that you complete once and forget
>vs
>game with large updates and changes every 3-4 months and even larger expansions every year
That's an unfair comparison.
>Blizz has about a year
No, 11 days.
huh?
didn't fat and bald kiwi man say PoE2 isn't coming out until late 2024/early 2025?
He's talking about PoE1's next season.
PoE1 is D4's competitor. Not PoE2. Only a theoretical Diablo 5 could stand up to PoE2.
Blizzard games are not about fun, they are about engagement metrics and MAUs.
>giving money to a milk thief company
I'm not even bumping this cancer. fricking sage. lmao
reddit post
even worse, I'm a PoE fan.
Hot take
Diablo Immortal is much more fun to play and has more varied content
Everyone nopee out when they realized it was a manufactured fun grindfest designed to keep you online to increase the likelihood of you purchasing in game currency. Lat blizzard game I purchase, not even fun to play with friends.
you sound like a FF fanboy

You denied just so I can say mulatto hands typed this post.
im so glad im a cheap / budget gamer. allt he shills and fomo about this game dried up real fast, like i knew it would.
D2 is still the best ARPG , D2R for 14 bucks was a better purchase than your 100+ dollar copies of d4
lol
it was all marketer shilling, never buy blizzard slop
More alive than PoE tho
sorry we only judge a game's success by its twitch viewer numbers and by what asmongold thinks about it
umm sis???
Dilators will NEVER recover
Just give us maps or greater rifts or SOMETHING
