Sucks that the Gameboy games don't transfer the pokeball you catch them in. Only because certain pokemon don't work in the regular pokeball for me at all and makes them unusable. I always struggle with FireRed because you get 1 masterball and of course it's perfect for Mewtwo but isn't there a glitch that makes your legendary beast disappear forever?? You're forced to use it on them

it's the main result when you look it up, but requires roms of all regions. I only mention it because all of this stuff you want to do is a lot easier to accomplish in it, and contains both regions you're playing in. except I don't actually know what ribbons are and if they are in it or not, never messed with that feature.
Sounds fun but I don't mind hunting for stuff in the games as they're the legit experience and also you can transfer to current gens. Nothing wrong with fan stuff but it's not the same as with the mainline games

I had to catch one of each mon for my living dex even if they didn't have gender differences. This was before I contracted balltism though so now I want to redo the whole living dex but with either all pokeballs/premier balls or each mon in it's best balltism ball. Cherish balls for event mons make this the worst though

I too have major balltism. That's why I don't bother with breeding in any Generation before 6 anymore.
I always put my Ghost-types in Dusk Balls, except the Jellicent line who go in Dive Balls.
That one is hard for me. Blue goes in Dive ball and Pink in Heal ball. My first ever Gengar I caught in Platinum and I had to catch it in a timer ball 🙁 I had to name him shadow because the ball has shadow the hedgehog colors

He's Purple so MasterBall would be best but unfortunately I'm not using my masterball for that. I use Heal, Dream, love or dusk ball mainly. (My original Gengar Shadow holds a special place in my heart and lives comfortably in home)
Master Balls are kinda shit too, since they cannot be inherited anyhow.
