Honey wake up, the first tower defense game worth playing in 5 years finally came out!
Axon TD is a sci-fi themed tower defense game where you construct towers and traps to kill the robotic minions of a rogue AI. You can place new tiles to expand the map and create bigger and bigger mazes.
There's a shit ton of towers and a decent selection of maps in game already, why aren't you playing it /vst/?

Fine I will pirate it.
Your incendiary response has been noted.
Stop playing shit-ass Victoria 3
should've said it's by the element td guys, incompetent shill
That's how you know I'm not a shill lol I wrote this while stoned
It's bizarre how creatively bankrupt TD games are. You'd think that a genre of games with an average production value of zero would be fertile ground for experimentation, but in reality it's a complete evolutionary dead end. The most 'innovative' TD games have literally just been "what if we added TD elements to a first person shooter or third person action game?" and the most successful games in the genre are basically the same shit I've been playing as a fricking Starcraft custom map except with more autistic economy shit added.
I mean look at this shit.
>Wow you build towers to kill minions and you can build a maze! So cool, that certainly hasn't been done a million times already!
Sounds like you haven't played a whole lot of them in the first place.
I've played loads of them, but go ahead and name some you think are actually innovative in a significant way, that don't fall into the category of "it's a shooter/action game except with TD elements" like Sanctum or Orcs Must Die.
Then maybe you played so many, you burnt yourself out instead. What did you play?
>maybe you didn't play enough!
>maybe you played too much!
Maybe you can just give me a couple of titles that you think would prove me wrong, instead of bending over backwards trying to come up with some awkward argument for why I happened to miss all the interesting ones?
Nah, I'm good. I've seen my share of bait, where vaguely displeased anons whine that there are no good games except for the very old stuff that they might have not even played.
In other words, you don't know of any either. Good talk.
i'm glad that the smart guy, who is probably also handsome, spared us from giving the stupid guy recommendations that he'd just dismiss with "doesn't count" for some facile reason
lol, looks like someone is having a cute little meltie
>the smart guy, who is probably also handsome
No im just posting for the first time itt now
WHY ARE THESE GAMES ALL THE SAME?
UH OMD DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE IT HAS SHOOTER ELEMENTS. WHY ARE ALL THESE SIMILAR GAMES THE SAME? NO YOUR OUTLIER DOESN'T COUNT
>to be continued
getting real fed up with unfinished games tbqhwyfam
Play survival mode
What do you want them to add? A stock market? It's a solid, no-bullshit tower defense game. If you don't like tower defense games, don't play tower defense games. Also, suck my wiener and balls.
What do you two mean? That the story ends on a cliffhanger and is continued in Survival Mode?
The story ends at chapter 2 because the game is still in early access. Survival mode is fun and challenging enough to play during the wait. Quickplay is also an option.
Considering this is the Element TD team, I don't doubt they'll actually finish the game
I'm not letting you die. Not yet.
Hey OP, this game is pretty neat so far. Do you have any other TD suggestions? The ones I've plated are all the Kingdom Rush ones, Bloons TD6 and Orcs Must Die. I'm always looking for good TD games I just really the genre.
I played: Creeper World series, X-Morph: Defense, Kingdom Two Crowns, Bad North, Mindustry, Achikaps and dozens of Flash games old and new, including a recent encounter with Witchcraft TD.
I also bookmarked, unsure if I'll even pick them up: Taur, Infested Planet, Legacy of Sin, Dome Keeper and Dwerve.
Not OP but Colony Siege is a nice RTS-y tower defense and you can build mazes with the laser walls
so this game is basically defense grid 3. survival mode is fun and I do enjoy maze building on the random maps. i think tower tactics liberation is slightly better as a roguelike, but this game is decent.
>survival mode is fun
too easy, too short
