I took the pair pill, and I loved it. Made it to ante 11 green stakes with a pair build.
Picked up an early burnt joker and always discarded a pair, got pair up to level 20.
Was spamming 2's and had a wee joker that gave +500 chips
Was playing the anal deck, in ante 8 small blind I saw an opportunity to burn like 5 saved double tags to boost four of a kind to level 24. Did it.
Never got a single decent X multiplication joker but had 3 polychrome ones and only playing two cards for a pair gave a hell of a lot of room for steel cards in hand. By far the dumbest and funniest deck I've beat Ante 8 with.

If you're mentally well you won't get the gold stake chip on every joker. I even struggle to justify getting the gold stake chip on every deck. I did it once, and I don't know if I'm doing it again. Probably stopping on purple with the rest of the decks unless they balance this shit.

am i missing something or does the plasma deck actually suck? it's extremely joker dependent. yeah, maybe you can get some crazy shit going but it's harder than any other deck.

What stake/difficulty are you on? Higher difficulties take away the money reward from the small blind, so skipping that one becomes kind of a no-brainer.
Generally speaking, you skip blinds if the tag is better than a shop visit. Simple as. If your scores are popping and you feel confident that you can beat the next blind without a store, evaluate if the tag is worth taking, and if so, then take it. Most of them are worse than a store visit in almost all cases, so skipping is usually not a great idea unless your run is going well and you're going for a win-more option (like a guaranteed negative joker, or doubling your money).

Retriggers can retrigger the card's on play effects, and retrigger any jokers that proc off them being played, and retrigger in hand effects like steel depending on the situation
the very best endless scaling is based on retriggers. but even before that there are plenty of jokers that trigger on scoring so doubling them can be quite useful.

I haven't reached higher stakes yet, I don't know if purple onwards you need to stack thousands of multiplier to balance your score and beat ante 7-8 since everything is x2
afaik it's impossible to scale your chips beyond a few hundreds unless you have bull and insane turbo scrooge mcduck economy or something

Since its finding the median between the two numbers all you need to do is stack as many chips as you can and have the lowest amount of mult for the best result. You need no mult stacking for the deck.
It's the average, not the median. Mult still adds to the value, it doesn't subtract from it.
I get it, the other anon posted a good example showing that you can beat orange stake stacking chips with some moronic commons. I just thought that you couldn't stack enough chips normally but turns out you can.
I still haven't reached purple so I couldn't tell beforehand.
My point is that mult stacking can get you to couple dozen thousands which would average for insane points and there's no way to stack that many chips. But I guess stacking 800 chips with cards I don't normally use just fricks.

there's a cycle of 4 that has a different effect on scoring a card of each suit. Clubs is +8 mult, spade is +50 chips, diamond is +1$, heart is 1 out of 3 chance for 2x mult. There's two more relevant jokers that don't have an equivalent. Blackboard gives you 3x mult if your hand has all clubs or spades. There's a club one I forget the name of that gives you 2x mult if you score a club and at least one other suit.
bloodstone is too random and whenever I tried it I would only ever get 1-2 procs out of a flush at best.
Seeing Double, Onyx, and Gluttonous give x2, +8, +4 to clubs
Bloodstone > Arrowhead > Rough Gem = Onyx Agate
they all have their uses, my personal favorite is arrowhead because its a source of chips instead of mult, which pairs really well with wrathful joker, and the both of them solve both your chips and +mult at once if youre lucky
onyx agate is also pretty good, getting double the mult than you would with gluttonous joker is a bargain. personally i like arrowhead more since you just get more mult on top of the mult you already get from gluttonous joker, but thats still a very decent effect.
rough gem seems alright on paper but i havent managed to get it to work super well. bloodstone always fricks me when i need it most. kind of starting to hate it even when its really good in theory.

Eh, if I wanted it without doing the pain of Gold Stakes of every deck, I'd just CreamAPI it.
I think it has to do with being able to bug out the game (probably something to do with RNG) by just reloading your save every time while in the run. You can still continue from the main menu.

I just used it to get the Invisible Joker. It's alright, but I don't think it can climb up super high in 8+ Antes because of the Joker limit unless you get the Antimatter Voucher or lots of Negatives. The increased hand size is really convenient for making good hands and also negating the weakness of Ectoplasm.

This isn't really the case. You should put whichever one you need on whichever cards you're going to play. Scoring is about balance, so you want whichever modifier you're lacking.

drop it when you find something better to replace it with, also keep in mind staying in the negatives makes it so you don't earn interest after every round (typically you want to stay at around $20-$25 dollars for maximum interest)

Credit card fricking sucks. If you're not getting interest on your money you just fall way behind. It's literally about half your income if you don't have a dollar-generating joker. Use case of credit card is specifically only when you need something else from that particular shop but can't afford it.

Kinda hate how the those two good spectral pack options frick you over with reducing your hand size. There aren't many ways to increase your hand size, so those spectral options really frick you over pretty quick. And considering how necessary negative jokers are for endless and how fricking rare they are without spectral cards it's really obnoxious.

I don't think so. That soul card seems to show up in tarot packs just as often. I think it's only spectral in the same way the black hole one is spectral, which doesn't show up in spectral packs.

Scoring big is hard without fricking with your deck like putting 10 Glass aces in it, and you can't frick with your deck if you don't have an economy to do so, the game is really all about trying weight economy with scaling

The Eye is too powerful. The game revolves around powering up the same combinations and playing them again and again. Unless you're too OP or roll a reroll option, you're toast.

Got 3 levelups for skipping a blind. In the end pairs ended up scoring more, but a single face card oneshotted every non-boss blind throughout the run.

Whelp this was totally cracked, wont be beating this soon or ever. No idea how you're supposed to scale past this point without foil jokers or red seals and even then it seems like a drop in the ocean. Died in Ante 16
