Play as Shadowheart and let Minthara corrupt you.
I want both of these.
>playing as a woman
You can't play as Minthara, just a support companion like Minsc/Jaheira etc.
My frog wife is so cute when she's surprised...
>Who should I play as?
Karlach and mold Shadowheart into a good girl
>playing as a chick
You did NOT beat the game
If I don't want to see a man's ass all the time it doesn't mean I'm gay.
Why are you even looking at ass when you play as a male? Any game that is forced male protagonist do you just groan knowing youre forced to stare at man ass or something. God you're a homosexual.
men have a natural bias towards females in pretty much everything
if you hadn't noticed that's also why the modern world looks like a neo-communist clownshow
>why the modern world looks like a neo-communist clownshow
I'm told that this is actually all my fault so I'd like to formally apologize for the creation of this clownworld
hey you fricking morons, the game is isometric. you'd have to actively move the camera in a moronic position to even get anywhere a good shot at an ass. which would be actively detrimental to gameplay and dialogue focuses on the upper body.
the "muh man ass" argument doesn't work here you a closet homosexual with sexual dysmorphia
Playing a female and romancing a male sounds pretty gay, anon. So does making a female romance a female. My rule of thumb is usually if there's romance shit, I play a male. If there's no romance shit and there's an option to use an attractive female character, I pick that.
>self inserts as a woman
>not gay
only big tiefling wiener can tame the frog
Frog.
male human custom character who breeds all the chicks.
Female human protagonist that becomes a fricktoy for all non-humans
baserato
Dark Urge 100%
Depends how the racial traits look, probably something ugly like a orc or someshit
Swen said Durge is a bad first playthrough, like Nosferatu or Malkavian in Bloodlines. Save it for second.
Swen said most romances are exclusive and companions aren't polyamorious.
I WILL be the layer.
>or Malkavian in Bloodlines
Only morons think that's a bad first run.
It's actually the single most entertaining first run possible if you plan on multiple runs.
>>or Malkavian in Bloodlines
>Only morons think that's a bad first run.
The fun of a Malkavian run is knowing how things go, and therefore spotting the prophetic schizo moments.
If its your first time playing, you won't know the prophecies, it will all just be randumb noise.
Maybe similarly, if you haven't met the companions and seen their personal wants and need, and their quests and developments, it wouldn't be fun to rule over them and kill them as the Dark Urge. Or maybe the Urge overpowers the main quest in some way, which would be more impactful if you first knew WHAT that quest is.
>The fun of a Malkavian run is knowing how things go, and therefore spotting the prophetic schizo moments.
>If its your first time playing, you won't know the prophecies, it will all just be randumb noise.
Absolutely wrong.
The fun is DISCOVERING what the schizo ramblings are, which can only be done by playing Malkavian first.
What you posted is a reddit safety wheels mindset.
No, uncertainty and discovery > lmao xDDD
>The fun is DISCOVERING what the schizo ramblings are, which can only be done by playing Malkavian first.
When your Malvavian says something random, stupid and inane, you probably will not remember it and maybe won't think of it when it turns out to have been prophetic 10 hours later into the game.
However, if you've already played the game, you will know what happens and notice the prophetic element in the rambling. In this way, you the player and your character know what happens in the future, even though the rest of the world doesn't. Its cool.
I did Malk as my first run and did not regret it at all. The entire point of roleplaying a Malkavian in VtM is not knowing what to believe. Malks can't parse the truth from the noise. If they could do that they'd be omniscient. I understand why it's fun as a follow-up playthrough to catch moments where you can say "Aha! I get the reference!", but playing without actually knowing what is going to happen feels very much in line with the clan. That said, I understand that it isn't for everyone.
How are you going to discover what the schizo ramblings are if you don't know what a normal run is.
Have fun missing the correlations you can make from the dark urge to a normal play thru.
>How are you going to discover what the schizo ramblings are if you don't know what a normal run is.
By then doing a normal run.
bingo
the value of that second run is increased dramatically by the uncertain first run
>you probably will not remember
Maybe you won't, but not everyone is a moron.
>maybe won't think of it when it turns out to have been prophetic 10 hours later into the game
It's usually within half an hour, actually.
>However, if you've already played the game, you will know what happens
exactly, that makes it no longer exciting and absolutely PROHIBITS you from predicting it based on the hints.
>In this way, you the player and your character know what happens in the future
Uh no, Malkavians don't know, but they can infer and deduce based on cryptic hints. This is something you cannot do unless you play Malkavian first.
>Its cool.
No, it's a safety blanket because you refuse to have fun.
Again, not everyone is a moron, it's possible to parse what a Malk may be hinting toward.
I despise contrarian homosexuals like you, I hope you contract aids
And I despise plebbit pussies like you who refuse to have fun discovering stuff on your own instead of always knowing everything beforehand, pussy.
>everything I don’t like is reddit
No you’re just a homosexual who only knows how to define themselves by taking the contrarian position.
No, I just like fun things and dislike people who argue against fun things because God forbid you are surprised for once in your life, homosexual.
Black person im not gonna do more than one playthrough
do you seriously think that people are gonna play this 250 hours long game more than one time? especially when there's so many other good releases this year?
If you're not going to play the same game for 1000 hours straight, you're a casual and need to frick off back to r/gaming where you belong.
there are many morons already that have 1000h+ hours in ea
I seriously doubt that a single playthrough will take 250 hours, that's probably an estimate for several playthroughs all going different routes.
>do you seriously think that people are gonna play this 250 hours long game more than one time?
I will. Couldn't care less about Starfield, the BOTW DLC or AC.
What good other releases this year?
cp2077
>but Swen sa-
NO ONE ASKED, Black person
Smelly-feet heart
Shadow butthole
Made for pale light eyed light haired priests/paladins of Selune
Shadowheart unironically looks like my aunt from Germany
sure?
HOLY FUUVKKKKK This is a mod, right? There is no way that a women with a toned tummy and such clothes, looking like this, would be allowed in the west in the current year
>This is a mod, right?
the armor from a datamined npc, yes
Yes, same hairstyle (the non-fringe one), same nose, hazel eyes and sharp jaw too. The eyeshadow is the most alike part. Only difference is that my aunt's hair is darker and elf ears or scar.
She works at LVMH lol
Minthara looks exactly like my Franconian exgf.
Germany has some decent-looking women, though many are also repulsive.
Is she work at Lidl?
>Is she work
ESL.
is you moron at head?
>Is she work
>Cyrillic
are you gonna seggs her?
Nah I live don't live in Germany lol. And my aunt is now 40+ too and married with 3 children. But growing up I was always strangely attracted to her, she was pretty hot back when she was a 20-30 yo woman
>mfw no shadowaunt to fantasise about growing up
ur one lucky mf anon
pwost a pic owf her pwetty pwease :3
Is your aunt single? Can you set me up?
God, Shadowheart is so cute bros.
she's 'ight
sexoooooooooooooooooooooooooo
c-cute!!
It's even better when you get to hang out with Shadowheart in the camp party and Gale is SEETHING that you get to make out with her, I like the fact that characters have their preferences in the party
>shadowcute thinking about licking my perineum
pls link me the mod for fixing shadowcute's hair
her hair changes to the modded version in act 2 anyway
i smell fake news
the mod uses hair which is literally listed in the game files as shadowheart act2 hair
Why the FRICK was she not a companion? God damnit, I want to frick her (in horse form)
because then there'd be 3 druid companions and a bg1 druid returning character
> Gay bear dude
>blown out old slag I booted from my party ASAP in the first 2 games
>HORSE PUSSY
Yeah, we got scammed.
But there is currently only 1 druid companion, and he's optional you have to save him from the goblin prison.
And she'd be exclusive with that companion, as they are rivals and the quest resolution that lets you recruit one will not let you recruit the other.
yes? and if you could get kagha as well that would be two and jaheira who is a fighter/druid would be three
faldorn from bg1 who is mentioned in notes is a shadow druid
it would be total druid overload
I will be playing a Duergar, the best fantasy race. I know essentially nothing about the game other than the fact that I can play as a Duergar, which I will be doing.
Bg3 will help many anons accept their true self, if you play as a girl do not be afraid transition irl, sisters
whats the point of spending all day false flagging in BG3 threads?
gays should be forced to transition, then the ones that pass have them have children.
Make an eugenics program where eventually we can have a third shemale gender. Either directly or just boys that are very easily feminized.
uhhh, video games
Let me guess, you will play as Shadowheart and let Minthara recruit you?
Average BG3 hater
why is she looking at me like that? that smile...
>Pfff I can't believe that simp actually went and killed the orphans for me. How much fun I'll have sending him on chores just for a glimpse of my ankles.
it's the liza netorare smile
So is this b***h a real companion or what?
Yes, she's for the 'evil' route only.
But isn't she a paladin?
OoD paladin and OoV paladin aren't the same
Paladins in 5E aren't what they used to be. iinstead of being powered by a god they are now powered because they really really really want something.
Yes it's stupid and if you muddle the water hard enough you can be for all intents and purposes an evil paladin no problem.
>Paladins in 5E aren't what they used to be. iinstead of being powered by a god they are now powered because they really really really want something.
No. They are still divinely powered. Gods just pick passionate driven individuals as their champions.
Their oath allows them to draw divine power. The gods don't pick shit.
Isn't that what Paladins in PoE do? They're powered by their devotion to a cause instead of a god?
That's not stupid, that's what they should have fricking done long ago. There effectively were already evil paladins all along, they just for some fricking reason didn't want to make them anything more than a prestige class.
ye
She can be your accomplice to genocide in Act I, and since people liked her, Larian rushed to include her as a companion that you can find in Act II. She will not immediately join your party, and she may not be as developed as the other companions, because she was a last moment decision based on early access feedback.
>genociding the tieflings
why would anyone do that? pretty fricked up tbqh, Bex alone makes me never ever want to do that.
>why would anyone want to do that
Some people don't require a certain motivation, for some people the act is more important that a reason for doing it. You will never understand.
I will play a sorcerer and protect my wife Alfira!
I will!
Very important question:Can you bawd it up as shadowheart?
I will do a custom playthrough first, dark urge next, and maybe then if I haven't burned out yet do one of the origin characters.
>old white male
>necromancy wizard 12
>dark urge
>no romance gay shit
>kill all companions
>solo run with undead minions, zombies and Barrelmancy for tough fights
>join Absolute
>accept Mirkul's seat as god of the death
Gaming time, 30 year old gamers
>accept Mirkul's seat as god of the death
If you can ascend the way the dead 3 did all this time ago, why would you only accept 1/3 of the power? The Absolute, after all, is the reunification of those 3 powers, which were divided because Myrkul, Bhaal and Bane had an argument as to which one of them to rule.
Someone spoiled that you can take only one portfolio while 2 chosen companion can take other two.ghkh8
Interesting. So Durge shouldn't just butcher the whole party to steal their tadpoles for MAXXX power, as he needs two more dudes to share the throne with.
it's optional. you can leave seats empty, or keep alive current chosen ones, i like Orion and she is cute. Romancing her and let that gypsy archduke live would be Kino ending
Didn't Kelemvor take Myrkul's place?
maybe one should play as created character? i mean, i completed DOS2 2 or 3 times, and every time i played as created original character. there was good active skill for created one.
so this entire pathetic lgbt dating simulator has like.... 1 non-ugly girl in it?
this has to be the most cringe beta game ever released lmao.
for me it's Arabella
I kill that b***h with the rest of the refugess!
Mol best girl.
Yup yup
Anons...... can the FemMc be a bawd?
>polygamy in the game
Yes, I think.
Yeah? Why can't she be a bawd?
for a coombait game for beta losers, it sure lacks pretty girls.
Not every girl has to be a Tifa to be considered pretty, you gay.
Shadowheart is beautiful.
Owlcatbros, are we still coping or accepted Larian victory? RT is a trash and BG3 is the GOTY
>Larian makes Turn-Based games
>becomes an AAA studio
>Owlcat and Obsidian make RTWP games
>couldn't be more irrelevant
can you axe the groid and bonk the succubus?
Yes and yes
How is it making a warlock? When you choose fiend, do you get a sexy succubus for yourself?
No. The black dude signs the contract with a cambion (not even a real devil). The real patron is a demigod-like existence.
Wyll wants to kill Karlach. You know what to do.
Just play as Wyll yourself. Benefits:
>you don't have Wyll as a companion
>you have a charisma based protagonist
>you have unique patron demon interactions
>you already have a hook on Karlach (she's your personal quest)
>you are a famous guy, bards sing about you, people recognize you
>makes sense to go good (redemption for mistake made) or evil (pursuit of further power), both in-character
This. Just mode his appearance to be the white man he was always meant to be.
Also, it gives you actual RP possibilities for multi-classing
>Oath of Vengeance against fiends to kill Mizora and save Karlach to marry
>Swords Bard after spurning Mizora to actually build a proper heroic legend without frauding
Wyll is the most kino origin character to play.
Wyll has been completely rewritten
we don't even know his lore and story anymore
Oath of Vengeance Paladin who wants to kill all fiends, starting with Mizora so he can marry Karlach.
A forbidden love across the planes.
if you want to frick a fiend or demon, Wyll will frick them behind your back at night in the camp
>Black person
no thank you
bigger*
Swen's finger slipped when he was talking to the character designer. He simply wanted to indicate that Wyll was not a member of the short races. We all know Wyll is a white man.
>Wyll too shørt
>Wyil is Black person
>Fix it or you're fired
I'm only going to play him once mods manage to make him look like a human.
Yes, we will have our tragic unlikely hero white male.
Wyll as an incel nerd who failed at life, so he sold his soul for a crumb of chadness, fits his old origin story. I don't know what his new one will be.
>get roped into a contract while captured and your life is at stake
>incel nerd who failed at life
I mean, he failed an assignment from the Flaming Fist, but that doesn't make him a nerd lmao.
I don't mean the actual writing, I mean how you can play him as a self insert for pasty Ganker nerds.
Better than
>boring Gale muh magic power
>boring Astarion muh slave master
Outside of Durge chud school shooter mode, Wyll is the only mildly interesting man you can play as.
Frick no, the most interesting thing about his origin is not even about him. Let the vanilla toon get Mizora and no one would bother recruiting Baldur's Gate's Jacob. Dark Urge is quite literally the only interesting origin and look at that, it's the only customizable one, really makes you think.
>Baldur's Gate's Jacob
But Wyll is white and has plenty of conflict and connections in his backstory.
They are the same character, though.
>I made a bad deal, and now I am shackled, and I need to kill my jailer to free myself.
Gale with his goddess waifu and the bomb in his chest, Astarion with his vampire lord and whatever link they have, and Wyll with his demon mistress.
Wyll was a member of the Flaming Fist, so he has lore-based connections with a faction.
Gale's connection is probably not making it into the game.
Astarion is connected to literally one single character.
I don’t think it’s changed the core of it that much, they just reframed it so the cope is more obvious from the outset.
The problem in his original incarnation was that the larp version and reality clashed too much, which meant that rather than a poser showing his true colours, he seemed like a complete schizo
Well, its hard for there to be dramatic reveal, when you can literally open his character sheet and it says "warlock" right there.
I wish it didn't
Yeah, that helps too.
The artwork and his class makes it blatant that he made a bad deal, which clashed with the game trying to be coy about his mission to rescue Mizora.
Astarion has a similar issue, but at least in his case the game makes no bones about how suspicious he is
Fun fact: Wyll was completely remade because almost everyone playing early access was not using him or ignoring him, they said because his story was boring, but i think theres another reason maybe Ganker can guess
>but i think theres another reason maybe
maybe
What is with the obsession about Swen Vincke schizo posting?
His story is fine, the problem is that he is:
>black, and peepoo is racis
>you meet him after you've already met a mage, thief, warrior and cleric
>a warlock isn't obvious like the above classes in what he does and why you'd need them
>when you meet he doesn't explain what he wants, and what he can do, and why you'd want to help him
>doesn't even reveal his actual class, just clearly lies about who he is and what he does
>you meet other companions in downtime, in between points of interest; you meet Wyll in the first busy place you see, sitting between quest givers and merchants you want to talk to
>a charisma based companion, in a genre where the protagonist is usually the charisma one
etc
Guy has very little going for him, the way he was presented. I think even if he was a cute animu gurl, he'd still see little action.
Ifan's arab and he's a fan favorite. Nah, Kevin can't write characters for shit.
This, Ifan was a bro but Wyll is just a prick all the time (at least in EA)
Even closer comparison is Jahan. He's a character in Divinity Original Sin 1/2, and is a dark skinned warlock who made a deal with a demon, and players like him.
True true. Fact is, Wyll keeps too many secrets and LARPS as a big deal while being close to useless with a blade and his nickname is the blade of the frontier. No one would recruit him if his side-quests didn't involve Mizora.
I used Wyll though because having a consistent ranged cannon with some big spells every short rest proved invaluable
But you don't know that if you are the average player and just meeting him. He doesn't say that. He doesn't say "i am a dark magic caster". He says "im han solo the bounty hunter, kids love songs about me".
>Check his abilities
>He has warlock shit
Maybe if you lack cursory DnD familiarity? But most people buying the game know at least a little about DnD and therefore know what's up
You enter the camp with a full party. Wyll goes to your camp. You continue exploring the city, getting quests, buying and selling items. You listen to your party quip and get to know them, you see how they react to conversations, you get plus and minus approval based on how you resolve some quick things for the druids.
After that you go back to camp, and ooooh yeah, Wyll is there. At this point, you may not even want to talk to him again.
He just comes after you've already recruited a tank, a healer, a utility guy and a sneaky guy. You already have the fierce warrior, the charming wizard, the mysterious cleric and the edgy kid rogue. For the average player, Wyll's just not obvious. What role he plays? What kind of a character he is? Why would I use him over the people whom I already know?
Remind yourself of your first Dragon Age Origins game. The two characters you recruit the earliest - the gay paladin and the swamp witch, are the ones most people end up using all game long. Its obvious who they are, what they like, what they want, and what they do in combat.
You really should meet Wyll at the gate of the druid circle. Maybe him arguing with the guards, explaining who he is and why he should be let in. Maybe a conversation you join in, so you can have him react favorably on unfavorably to things you say, see what he's like. And he should give you an immediate reason to add him to the active party - merchant discount maybe, which would also introduce players to the first time you get to trade. Then he will be played more often.
Inside the camp he's just noise, ignored, forgotten, and when you remember him again you already like your established party.
makes more sense to find Wyll be near-dead in the goblin camp, then you'd have a reason to follow-up with him at camp.
take note that Karlach doesn't have this problem.
>baawwww if he was one of the first then he'd be popular!
you sound like the writer for the character, just accept he is uninspired and generic, whoever wrote him shouldn't be writing characters.
do median also.
and maximum/minimum with worst/best rolls
otherwise the data is misrepresented
>take note that Karlach doesn't have this problem.
Karlach was added later, therefore was the "new character" that people logged in to try.
Also she's kind of "black coded", she's effectively acting like an orc grunt and looks like a monster. So I don't think the difference is racism. I think Wyll is stuck both being recruited at a busy place where you have other things to do instead of rework your party, and not telling you immediately who he is and what he's for.
>Also she's kind of "black coded"
Oh frick off. She's SO not black coded they got rid of her sheboon placeholder model.
Yeah her new model is a significant improvement
>literally whitewashing
Holy shit what a monumental upgrade
Not to mention her thighs
The old model makes it obvious she is black-coded. She's meant to be a black character.
time for some colonization then
Shut the frick up.
>old model
It's a placeholder. One of the default NPC/player faces.
It was pretty clearly a placeholder from day 1, given her character was introduced as having a missing horn being her most distinguishing feature
like someone mentioned above
he should be recruited at the gate, maybe blow up those fricking goblins up in the air so you're wow this guy is good.
the only pull that Whyll has is his patron, and she's not introduced at all before you meet him, and she's le mystery when you do meet him.
just accept that he's a shittily written character and the level of quality doesn't match the others.
obviously whoever wrote him expected his tokenism traits to carry him, but this doesn't work outside of hugbox development.
>But most people buying the game know at least a little about DnD and therefore know what's up
This is probably the fastest selling D&D game ever, it will be full of people who don't know shit about the setting.
Fricking Asmongold has featured it and will play it. He'll think Thief == melee dps, Warlock == summons or something, just like most other players who don't play D&D.
Eldritch blast is too iconic of an ability, should have at least reskinned or given him some OP placeholder ability
That's true but everyone knows Eldritch Blast man
>almost everyone playing early access was not using him
He's a fricking Warlock. Why would anyone pick a Warlock when there is a Wizard available? Wyll will only be good if you play as him. I like to take usefull companions only which means barbarian/fighter/cleric/rogue/wizard/druid. Warlock only works if you're the warlock yourself. If he was a sorcerer i woudn't have taken him in my party either. A bard would've been usefull.
>A bard would've been usefull.
Funny you say that, I think I will play as Wyll and be a bard/warlock.
Do I get a music instrument added to my inventory if I get a level of Bard after starting as another class?
No i think that you have to fin or buy one. I'm pretty sure that there are at least a couple of instruments you can find in the early access so they should be in the final game as well. Also i guess you're right. If i multiclass Wyll into a bard that would actually make him usefull so i'm gonna steal your idea for my playtrough.
2x Warlock to buff eldritch blast and get Pact of the Blade, rest into bard, and he can finally be the Blade of the Frontiers - a swashbuckling adventurer, with an uncanny knack for deadly blows with his rapier, I wonder how he got so good at it, mystery.
And he has the ranged option, since some encounters really benefit ranged attackers.
Nah, you start the game with one when you pick Bard, you can find some throughout the map though. Alfira can give you a lute if you finish her quest
Choose whatever you like dood. You'll be the one playing it after all.
2 million people bought the game and that was BEFORE the bear drama. You lost.
Did they mention anything about paladin's oath breaking every 5 seconds for no apparant reason in the goblin encampment. Oath breaking in general was finnicky as hell really. Might avoid playing paladin just because of that.
Let me guess. You had Halsin in your party?
It was a bunch of times, for example when Wyll starts a fight with the goblins talking shit about him. But it was also with Halsin, yes.
Can you pick an origin character and romance their enemy?
Like for eg pick Shadowheart but romance Lae'zel
Does anyone have a friends-rivals schema for the Act I party members?
I still haven't decided who I want to bring with me, and therefore what class to play myself.
???
>romanceble for evil chads
Do we actually need Minthara? Superior mommy is awaiting you
sauce?
This b***h looks like she has sex with a human male.
Mommy
>bikini armor
>2023
That's how you know it's good.
>bikini
>he doesn't know
Damn, those cuisses make her hips look very birthgiving.
breasts need to be thrice as big before i consider her a mommy
Walking headfirst KNOWINGLY into ambushes as an OoD Paladin
Walking OUTSIDE of the room to go have a smoke so the rest of my party can torture the suspect without me failing my oath.
Imagine I posted a raging wojak
YOU CANT DO THAT
The wizard polymorphing the annoying orphan into a goblin, so I can SMITE it without breaking my oath.
>romancing an "evil" character isn't clashing against in each over and over through the game until suddenly getting a spark and despite both hating each other's guts you're still unable to fully let go until finally getting together for a touching but fleeting romance as you bear your feelings in front of each other
>instead it's just about obediently doing whatever pants-on-head moronic bullshit they want from you (i.e. kill everyone!!!!! because rpgs haven't evolved in over 30 years of their existence and that's what being "evil" still means)
Shadowseks with Shadowife
Hopefully after like 6 months when all the analytics of this game are in Swen and the morons at Larian will finally stop doing their Origin OC crap and start doing the Dragon Age Origin-esque system for characters.
Doubt there will be more that a couple of percent of people who will even finish Origin playthroughs.
>B-but you can play as these cool origin characters
No one cares Swen, we want to make our own fricking characters in an RPG
Its a 100 hour game, I doubt more than 10% of people who buy it will finish it at all, period.
Which is yet another point to stop trying to make Origin characters a thing. They're not compelling, stop wasting resources on shit no one cares about Swen.
Swen's plan is clearly:
>Tav as first game
>Origin character (I can play as my favorite companion!) as New Game+
>Dark Urge (well, I've beaten the game twice, time to goof around haha) as New Game++
But this hasn't been communicated well, and if we look at Mass Effect or Dragon Age, people do their repeated playthroughs of long narrative games 1-2 years after the first time they play.
I'm pretty sure it will probably go something like:
>Good Tav
>Evil Tav
>Durge
Or any of these in different order.
And after that Swen might stop making Origin characters when the data is in that only a handful of redditors picked Astarion for the cannonical Astarion gay bear sex playthrough. I get it that it's something he's trying to push as a thing that his studio does, ''dude what if your favourite companion was actually the player character'', but they're seemingly oblivious how most people want to play RPGs. They already doubled down on this from DOS2, hopefully they won't triple down on it on their following game.
Evil Tav is Durge. See
Also Durge is an "origin character", as in a character with a predefined background.
Plus, in Mass Effect or Witcher, two of the most popular RPG-ish games ever, you play a predefined character.
Maybe they leave the positions open. A world without a god of murder is probably good-er.
>Evil Tav is Durge
Curse you Swen, either way I'll do an evil-ish Tav playthrough first without having ONE NOTHING WRONG WITH ME playing in the background.
>Plus, in Mass Effect or Witcher, two of the most popular RPG-ish games ever, you play a predefined character.
I'd argue they're more of an Action-adventure games, and predefined characters might not have impacted them in the same way as a ''story rich your choices matter'' isometric crpg. Plus take Dragon Age 2, It's been years since I played it, but being forced to play as Hawke wasn't exactly that well liked, especially after DA:0.
>and start doing the Dragon Age Origin-esque system for characters
Man I miss that shit, even if it only added a couple more quests later on and dialogue changes it was so cool to have all these unique starts that made your character feel like a part of that world instead of just some random adventurer. Have any games since even done something like that? Hell knows Bioware can't recapture that magic anymore.
I want to know if I can have a party with Lae'zel, shadowheart and Astarion. Or will they kill each other?
Just have high charisma anon.
I unironically had Edwin and Dynaheir in my party throughout my entire playthrough in BG1 with my 18 CHA Paladin and both didn't kill each other because of it.
It's fine in act 1 but no one knows what Larian is planning in the later acts
The party size if 4 members.
The empty demigod thrones at the end of the game are 3.
Do math.
that's not what he asked
The writers will introduce inter-party conflict to prepare the player for deciding who gets to ascend and who doesn't.
Haven't you people played Divinity Original Sin 2? At the end of that game, the party members literally fight each other to the death over who gets to be divine if you solved their personal quests they just support you.
You can still have all of them in the party until that final stretch of the game, assuming Larian is even going that route.
Seems obvious.
Myrkul, Bhaal and Bane were mortals, powerful adventurers teaming up to get godlike powers. Then they had a fight over who gets what.
I think we will walk in their steps this game. The Absolute is obviously the old "evil god" institution, that they split into three parts for themselves. Its emblem is their individual emblems overlayed on top of each other.
And Swen did say in a german interview that in his Dark Urge run, he ended up as a god. So at least that origin character can do it.
In a different interview Swen said Dark Urge used to be the default non-origin playthrough, but because testers hated being forced to do evil, they split it from Tav. So the original plan was for the DEFAULT CHARACTER to be able to ascend to godhood, at least. This is why I think all can.
so whats the end game for do gooders? they don't ascend then what?
>whats the end game for do gooders
Sucking on their toes, like the braindead idiots they are. There is no 'good' in the world, only power matters.
Jon is that you
>durge was the original default
I FRICKING KNEW IT
I posted in a thread like a week ago saying Dark Urge would be the Fane of bg3 (the real protagonist) and a bunch of moronic wienersuckers said I was wrong. Swen can't fool me "save it for another playthrough" my ass
Bro they didnt even know they would have a durge until a year ago. They didnt expect EA to do as well as it did.
cope Swen literally admitted the origin story of dark urge was the original intended story of all custom characters which follows since baldurs gate would naturally involve the dead three.
Just shut the frick up. Fane was also "not intended" because skeletons were a stretch goal. And he became the protag with the most story relevance in os 2
they don't just pull these origins from thin air you moron they always are just shards of the very first script they write. Do you know who's origin story Fane took btw? Dallis. She was originally intended to be an origin character
Your headcanon schizo ramblings arent interesting.
So anon who are you cucking then since there are only 3 spots.

Disgusting.
Karlachads our time is nigh, we will bask in the feminine musk of our tomboy gf very soon!

This game is fricking bullshit I wanted to romance karlach!
whens the review embargo?
at July 28th gay journos will get review copies according to Jason Schreier
Journalists get keys ~30 hours from now, and its 150GB download and a ~20 hour Act I that we've already seen.
And you know for a fact gay journos won't pull an all-nighters to leak Act II fast.
Presumably any outlet will give such keys to their team that's already played the early access, and they'll basically just do main missions stuff until they get to anything new.
journos dont play games anon
I'm still not sure when it will ve fully out.
August 3 for PC, some time during EU working hours so they can troubleshoot.
Consoles a month later.
Thanks, anon.
Any way to make shadowheart blonde?
Not in the base game, no, but there will no doubt be shadowheart mods within the hour of launch.
>glaring issues with bg3
Is this guy genuinely moronic or something.
>dude where's my game breaking spells
>Why isn't there randomly generated dungeons
And he speaks like the fattest sack of shit. No game is infinite, and if you can actually get two or three playthroughs and the game is as massive and story rich as Swen shills it to be, multiple hundreds of hours of gameplay for sixty bucks seems like a sweet deal.
It's just some moron trying to get views for his shitty video. Ignore it.
ive been monitoring these bg3 threads for a while and im pretty sure its the most cringe game made in the last 10 years.
im glad larian is doing it, all the sad beta male coomers will jerk off to this trash while actual DND enjoyers will play good games.
My impression is that people who like video games will play it, while posers who just vice signal on Ganker will pretend to not play it but actually also play it.
calling bg3 a game is an extreme stretch.
This is vice signaling. However, since we are on an anonymous image board, nobody can keep track of your anti-karma. Therefore you gain no benefit from doing this. Might want to reconsider.
explain
its not really a game, the entire open world segment of BG3 is beyond dogshit, its painfully obvious 90% of all the development work went into making cutscenes, while leaving the actual game to be completely barren.
tldr bg3 is like mass effect, but with only the dialogues, you just sit and watch cutscenes.
the early access was an extremely hard dissapointment for me.
This post is absurd, and only people who haven't played the early access would even entertain the notions.
>nnnnn no you you you
>you didnt play it
has to be the most cringe cope on this board.
just stop it.
>open world
Omit this bit next time and you won’t glow in the dark so much
So all the walking around, fighting, spells and abilities and stuff just doesn't exist right? And why do you morons keep saying "open world"?
>So all the walking around, fighting, spells and abilities and stuff just doesn't exist right?
yeah it really doesnt.
it looks horrible, graphics from 2003, the most braindead mindnumbing combat imaginable.
the early access was extremely cringe to play.
you know, its been out for years now, and it didnt rock the world.
in fact, the world didnt seem to give a shit.
>graphics from 2003
I love how people seem to have completely forgotten what video games looked like on the PS2 and gamecube and such.
homie must have been born after 2003 for him to say such stupid shit
Yes pajeet you clearly played the game to great depth, now back to playing Diablo 4 with you.
>you know, its been out for years now, and it didnt rock the world
Factually wrong.

is the gobbo a party member or just an npc?
He's probably a camp follower.
damn.
there are no short party members because they really wanted to have sex scenes in the game to make it le mature, but having short people sex made them think about kids and made it ICK
you can't frick jaihera or minsc, so the gobbo doesn't have to be frickable either.
you cant frick any halflings, goblins, dwarves, etc
but you can frick bears and lizardmen
Holy frick that Shit excuse will only work with halflings or lalafell from the troony mmo
an npc who is attached to the dark urge
he's basically a Tulpa
Ah yes the tophat. A staple of medieval fashion.
Technically tophats started to appread near the end of the 17th century and the middle of 18th century when they replace the tricone hats..
how do I stop playing a self insert character in these games? I just seem incapable of doing anything that doesn't align with my personal moral compass, and as a result I always end up missing half the content of these games.
Why would you think that's a less valid way to play?
the problem is that even on repeat playthroughs I keep making the same decisions
Yeah and if you are still enjoying yourself what is the problem exactly?
anon please, easily half the people playing the game will be self inserting, at bare minimum for one playthrough
>easily half the people playing the game will be self inserting
Are self inserters really this delusional? You're part of a small mentally ill minority. Most people don't pretend they're the guy in the media they consume.
Sure, that's why pic related got memed to hell and back. RPGs are power-fantasies, self-inserting is therefore the best way to play them.
you have a point that video games in general attract a certain type of person, but these freaks are still a minority overall. you have to be either extremely narcissistic or have extremely low self esteem to pretend to be pic related.
Sure anon. Not like Larian's stats confirmed the average of all player choices was a generic white guy fighter or anyhing
>how do I stop playing a self insert character in these games? I just seem incapable of doing anything that doesn't align with my personal moral compass, and as a result I always end up missing half the content of these games.
pick a female dr*w and kill innocent people ingame with minthara
Don't stop. What's wrong with making the choices you would in that situation and seeing how things play out? You can make new characters for a different playthrough later. I know that feel, I can't stand hurting even fictional beings, so I just can't do psychopath runs.
Seriously: for anyone who has an issue playing evil, I have the solution. You start as an evil play and the SECOND you feel like save scumming because of a fricked up thing you did, save the game and reload a new one where you play your normal good guy or self insert. Play back to that point and see how it’s “supposed” to go. Then, return to the evil play and continue. Every single time you get nervous and want to reload just load up the good character to keep going. You’ll also see stuff back to back and catch things you might miss.
I feel like most people just want to play good on the first playthrough and then go full evil the next which is what I plan to do here
But you’ll feel worse playing evil second because you’re permanently fricking up the world. If you do good second then you will feel better about saving everyone
Idk in Div2 I enjoyed being a c**t to everyone the 2nd time and felt the same in other games.
I'm suspicious about the game even doing heroic fantasy properly. These devs are super high in narcissism, because you know why. Even they can emulate classic stories and trope if they choose to, of course.
This is me, kind of.
Somewhat good or at least mostly good first playthrough, than dark urge with giving in to the evil deeds as second one.
If i will like the game enough to play it even more, then i will think what to do afterwards, but either dark urge when i try to resist to see how it changes, or more evil regular custom or origin character.
i have no problem being evil. The problem is being a cartoon villain or some other deranged mongoloid who does cruel things for no benefit.
I have a similar problem except rather than good/evil I sometimes end up picking the most rational choices even when it should be against my character e.g. resolving the werewolf issue diplomatically in DAO even though I should've just killed them all (I thought I could conscript the former werewolves as a penitence company but nope). I also often let characters I should kill live for no reason other than not wanting to be a violent sperg.
>I also often let characters I should kill live for no reason other than not wanting to be a violent sperg
Punishing players for foolish mercy is good trope, I think. I can't even come up with a cRPG that did this.
>Playing any of the Origin characters
Cringe.
I will not entertain your pet as the driving narrative. They are pack mules I frick and dispose of when it's convenient to me.
Holy fricking BVSED
>I will not entertain your pet as the driving narrative. They are pack mules I frick and dispose of when it's convenient to me.
Literally just vice signaling on an anonymous hentai forum, where it will be ignored and forgotten. No gains. Recalibrate.
Not keyed.
is there any point of multiclassing spores druid and necro wizard? i want to summon as much undead as i can
If they keep to the 5e versions, no. Both get their raise dead bonuses at level 6 So if you want that from both of them you're looking at a 6/6 split, though, spores druid will get animate dead earlier automatically than necromancer will.
It's really a question of do you want to animate dead twice from one cast, or raise dead because someone died near you? You might be better off going spores druid and some other wizard school.
Becoming a Oathbreaker Paladin may be a good choice, either with Spores or Necromancer, since it gives you Control undead, along with animate dead/fungal infestation.
A white short race male and romance Karlach

1. Creators want you to play you first.
2. We know game writers are bad, and this is an RPG.
3. Imagine playing someone else's OC Donut Steal lmao.
Custom or you're a gay.
>Custom or you're a gay.
amen
Im thinking of making dark urge jack garland for second playthrough or first depending how much chaos i have when playing first time
Based, hopefully after all the data an analytics are in and no one played their uwu special OC's as the player character, it will be the final nail in the coffin for their insistence on shitting out Origin characters.
The schizo lizard
>Shadowheart changes hair style

Companions changing their look is a really cool feature. I hope they get different progression depending on good/bad route. I wonder, what other visual changes are we getting?
maybe we'll see that stick getting removed out of Lae'zel's ass.

is that confirmed? I thought the different hair style was just a mod

I'm torn between a goody two shoes pally and a dark urge shadowmonk/rogue multiclass evil. Wanna start with the former but the later can have a harem featuring Minthara. Decisions decisions.
>First 5 levels into Cleric for Spirit Guardian
>The other 7 levels into Wizard for spells (low INT, only casting on friends)
Is this viable? Seems viable.
>fartquad no where in sight
>BG3 threads are actually decent
Crazy how that works
>90% of this whole game is watching cutscenes, pretty much 0 gameplay
>uh uh uh uh if you dont like it go play uh
>uh uh uh uh
>fortnite and and and
>uh uh uh
>call of doody and and and
yeah no i'd rather play an actual non-cringe RPG, like BG2 : )
Nice blog post. Go play BG2 nobody gives a shit what you play lmao. Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be playing video games?
It's boring to argue with morons like you, at least watch 10 minutes of gameplay or something, your arguments give out your lack of any knowledge about it.
BG1 and 2 also have hours of "cutscenes", except they're not mocapped or voiced, you just read text, my brain dead zoomer secondary friend. get a real personality instead of dogpiling on something because Ganker told you to do so.
shadow heart indeed
Oh thats the spoiler
Built for OoD Paladins
I'd divine smite that if you know what I mean
Dark Urge players are white people who put a little drop of Tabasco on their food and larp as hardcore spicy food lovers
dark urge players are actually intelligent, nihilistic and with a wicked sense of humor
I had spicy food today that had three chili peppers next to it on the menu and it was really just kind of disappointing.
Nice, at least i am not mexican.
>Dark Urge players are white
based, dont even need to read the rest
>Dark Urge players are white people
Thanks
I'm gonna play the origins, you're free to keep sperging about bonus content like a moron.
Shadowfeet
I wonder what other boons are we gonna get as dark urge.
Would feel dumb to start as a wizard, only to get some great close combat weapon alongside that mantle that we saw.
I want to recruit Minthara, but I also want to play as a devotion paladin. How fricked am I?
Just talk things out. Just be reasonable and if she refuses to be reasonable, knock her out non-lethally. I'm sure she'll understand, eventually.
Go big on your evil day; swipe everything not nailed down and pay the tax when it comes up.
Just pay the oathbreaking tax after the massacre, but you're not really roleplaying a devotion paladin at that point
why did they rid of feats in 5e? (i know they're still there but you know)
is it even possible to make an "unique" build now that theres like maybe 1 feat from the whole list worth taking instead of asi?
is there something im missing?
I don't know what you mean by them getting rid of feats in 5e.
they're all shit and never worth taking
Can you give me some examples of an old feat versus what you'd consider it's modern version?
polearm, great weapon master, sharpshooter and maybe alert
others are whatever
>great weapon maste
I dunno about that one. Feels like the downside you need to compensate for is too big most of the time. I'd rather hit reliably for decent damage than hit occasionally for big damage.
And yeah you can bless and shit but that's limited resources spent to ungimp yourself
It's probably best on barbarian since they can get constant advantage on attacks. I'm not sure how the math works out for 5e in general. I'd imagine it's probably always worth it just because it's usually harder to scale AC than attack bonus as you level. BG3 probably skews things even further in its favor due to the extra ways to get advantage or guarantee hits/crits.
Nerds have done the math on GWM, GWM is a truly fricking massive increase in damage and it only stops being efficient to use when enemies have like 17+AC (Not many of them)
If you're a barbarian or a battlemaster then it's literally always an improvement. Also keep in mind that GWM lets you attack with a bonus action if you kill something or crit, which you can't take full advantage of in regular DnD but can manipulate playing a solo game.
None of those really answer what I asked for. But how do you think feats should work? A lot of them give you a stat plus skill proficiency or some other bonus, or a combat bonus. You're trading one stat for some other bonus, instead of getting the ability score. Seems like a fine trade to me.
polearm master is pretty good isn't it?
yes there are multiple feats worth taking but your opportunity to get them is near zero without homebrew rules.
for melee:
>Polearm Master
>Crossbow Expert
>Great Weapon Master
>Fell Handed
for casters:
>Lucky
with 99% of other feats being trash
>but your opportunity to get them is near zero without homebrew rules.
this is the main problem yeah
attribute modifiers are always better than all the shit feats do
maybe at lvl12 but at point game's over
it's also terrible in that feats like Shield Training you technically can't use a shield while casting magic without a free mainhand, and to swap the shield out would require your action for a whole turn.
and basic actions you'd take for granted are gated behind feats like being able to shove someone with your shield, or not being able to use a healing kit to heal someone without a feat lol.
>Lucky
That's for martials as well.
For casters it's
>War Caster
>Resilient (Constitution)
>We know what over 170 of the spells in Baldur's Gate 3's full release will be, but that's not even half of the total.
>The developer says that the RPG will include "over 600 player spells and sub-spells" when it launches on August 3.
>That means there are over 400 Baldur's Gate 3 spells that haven't been revealed yet.
Well yeah, there are multiple variations of the same spell though. Like casting a a fire pit, ice pit, wind pit, earth pit, poison pit, knockout pit, slow pit, fast pit, teleporting pit, launch pit, razzle pit, dazzle pit, mosh pit, and so forth and so on.
abdel adrian
What does charisma do in this game and how cucked will I be if I decide to play as a charisma-let
Well, your character will do most of the talking and skills aren't shared, so if you're a charisma-let you will have shit rolls for persuasion, deception and intimidation.
This is what makes sorcerer, paladin, warlock and bard so good in these games. Strong classes by themselves plus you can easily be the face of the party.
Everyone has social skills options in dialogue by default. Things like Persuasion or Intimidation or Deception. Charisma will naturally add a modifier to the respective skill checks listed above but there are other ways to increase your odds. A rogue with proficiency and expertise in said skills can roll as much or better than CHA classes.
why would you ever play as someone else's premade character in an rpg? the whole point of an rpg is making your own character. you're better off playing a regular adventure game like the witcher if you want to play a premade character
If you multiclass paladin and sorcerer, can you twincast divine smite? Or any of the other metamagics really. Ranged divine smite would be funny too.
Level 12 damage simulation on version 19.
Sustained damage: average you can do in a round at any time, no limited abilities:
>Barbarian --- 43.2
>Fighter ----- 33.3
>Paladin ----- 31.5
>Cleric ------ 30.1
>Sorcerer ---- 29.8
>Wizard ------ 29.8
>Ranger ------ 28.4
>Rogue ------- 27.9
>Warlock ----- 25.2
>Druid ------- 17.1
>Monk -------- 17.1
>Bard -------- 13.8
Burst damage: average the MOST you can do in a round, with ALL abilities available; your top turn after a rest:
>Sorcerer ---- 116.5
>Paladin ----- 89.1
>Wizard ------ 83.4
>Fighter ----- 70.7
>Druid ------- 70.5
>Cleric ------ 67.4
>Bard -------- 45.5
>Barbarian --- 43.2
>Ranger ------ 34.4
>Warlock ----- 33.4
>Rogue ------- 27.9
>Monk -------- 22.8
how is warlock so low on sustained damage with no abilities
3d10 (eldritch blast) + 15 (cha mod) + 3d6 (hex) ~= 25
But basically a big part of these averages is if you have access to Haste, which will be ABSOLUTELY BROKEN in this game.
i've read somewhere they're fixing it for 1.0
A sorcerer can do;
>Disintegrate 10d6 + 40
>Fireball regular action 10d6
>quickened Fireball bonus action 10d6
>charisma modifier added to fireballs +10
... and do 100+ damage. A warlock can't possibly do that.
We'll see if the "wet" status from water doubles frost and lightning damage though, maybe clerics and wizards can get work done with that.
>monk
kwab
Is this the pen and paper or is this Larian's homebrew they use for BG3. Remember that the homebrew is different to the pen and paper and Larian are also augmenting combat with a lot of unique new magical items so your abilities are not only affected by your base class and stats but by your items as well.
>Is this the pen and paper or is this Larian's homebrew they use for BG3.
Larian rules. Sorcerers in particular get mad damage by Larian's homebrew:
>Haste gives a full unconditional action instead of partial action
>no limit on casting multiple leveled spells per turn
Cast haste on yourself before you open, and you can cast 2x Firebolt on your turn for 2x 6d10 + 2xCHA modifier ~= 30, and you are already outdamaging the Warlock and his agonizing blasts.
Haste is just an absurd spell right now. Metamagic is also crazy without leveled spell restrictions.
this is why enemy spellcasters are important, give them hasted fireballs and any potential problem solves itself
You still have to invest a lot of spell resources in order to achieve the sorcerer 1 turn nuke. Wizard might deal less damage but is better overall IMO.
Imagine if they buff Storm Sorcerer so he's able to create his own rains and get some lighting damage bonus on top of it.
The spell create water is already in the game. If you buff it with metamagic for wider area you can easily soak everything in water.
>play sorcerer
>have epic hasted fireball combo ready
>but have low dex
>roll 20 for initiative
>doesn't matter
>don't go first
>get frightened by big bad gobo
>die in one round to stone club
many such cases
But Shadowheart cast Sanctuary on me!
Actually you can haste yourself, and cast the fireball to START the combat phase. Depending on the encounter, you can choose to begin combat by doing damage, instead of through dialogue.
this is why there should be an invisible rogue patrolling to backstab you before this happens
Two goblin archers on the roof are usually enough to make short work of a badly positioned sorcerer.
Reminder height difference gives bonus damage from advantage.
>play storm sorcerer
>fly to them and gigadick them with your electric aura
What's the source of the best sustained damage for sorcerers and wizards?
sorcerer is
Wizard is similar, 10d6 + 40 (disintegrate) + 8d8 (cone of cold) + 5 (int mod) ~= 84
both assume you precast haste before opening
>Sustained damage
This moron thinks this is an MMO and boss fights last 5 minutes
is there even a reason to play rogue
Stealth, pickpocket, lockpick, picking some Gloomstalker for ranged sneak attacks.
Traps, stealing shit and opening doors etc.?
how is the Monk that low? Dont they attack 3 times at level 12 without burning a ki point?
Monk is the worst class in 5e.
>Multiple Ability score Dependant
>Poor damage scaling, no way to stick out like other classes.
>Overly reliant on Ki to do anything noteworthy.
>d8 HD, 16 AC at start, max 20 AC with no feats.
>Martials easily get 21 AC, and 27+ with good items.
>No affinity for magic armor or weapons.
>Subclasses have nothing going for them.
At least they are more lenient with ki in BG3, or so I'm told.
>sustained damage
>warlock 25.2
What's your source on this? What is cleric using to do all that damage without using ANY limited ability? How are sorcerers and wizards doing that much without ANY limited ability? Or are you using some limited abilities. What about items? What about sub class?
>3d10 (eldritch blast) + 15 (cha mod) + 3d6 (hex) ~= 25
5.5+5.5+5.5+15=31.5 without using up your powerful spell slots on a first level hex
What I'm not accounting for, but which a good damage simulation does is to account for average enemy ac and the accuracy of the attack. Yet this doesn't explain others having higher damage.
Precast haste seems assumed in every case where it's available.
Is Divination as OP as people make it to be?
ye
I'm playing as a human male that's in a relationship with Karlach AND Shadowheart
You can't do that. These girls won't share.
I'll still try
>the first unique interaction with Shadowheart is unique to a barbarian
>she actually makes a comment that she likes silent confident guys
>this comment
So Shadowheart is a barbarian property
She wants a big brute to break her in anon. Go for it!
>>she actually makes a comment that she likes silent confident guys
It's similar to a trick parents use with their noisy kid, they pretend they'll play a game called who can stay quiet the longest. I'm surprised you fall for something a 5 year-old wouldn't.
swole chads won
I don't know whether to go for Swolebarian or Swoladin.
No seriously someone help me choose.
you probably end up missing some cool story stuff if you go barb and just yell and smash everything adn everyone
compared to how good paladins are at talking which would open more options, probably
Oh right, persuasion an' shit. That's actually a big point.
persuasion, intimidation and deception are all charisma skills
Sorcerer is an option for a face, also.
A Swolecerer is gonna look wierd though. Unless one of the subclasses are the "I cast Fist" variety.
Sorc/Paladin is a very strong option if you want more spell options
Warlock and Bard are great Charisma classes too and any mix of these as a multiclass will work

>tiefling bard with eye makeup
lol, lmao
Yes. Do you even high class, rube?
La Abominacion
Thats a cool looking bard, I'm stealing this idea for a later playthrough
Damn look at that handsome 17th century homie
Technically it's 16th and 17th century.
Is it? Is it TECHNICALLY 16th and 17th century, homosexual? Did not I not SAY ONE OF THOSE?
Minthara is the hottest companion, but I don't like evil characters, and I don't like the fricking drow.
Alfira voice actor
>i'm going to multiclass homosexual/shitskin
He really minmaxed the shit out of his build
both the wamen in DOS2 were so insanely cringe I wouldn't consider romancing either if my life depended on it
did they improve the writing in BG3?
Shadowheart is still edgy, but not nearly to the same degree as Sebille
>didn't romance Red Prince
Your own fault.
>try barbarian, zariel tiefling
>successfully yell incoherent threats at tomb raiders
>Gale and Shadowheart approve
>Gale: "I can't believe you found such a diplomatic solution!"
>see a magical book with a lock on it
>punch the book to open it
>roll int check against all odds and interpret the contents
Just wish you had a less sophisticated-sounding player voice for it.
lack of MC voices is the games biggest downfall. Will probably need to import BG1/2 voices, and live without the MC non-generic voiced dialogue
Fact: Half-orcs are the most powerful race in the world.
Name one half-Black person who managed to carve its name in the history books of Faerun
(You) the player
My toon is about to overthrow the dead three and frick Shadowheart in the ass.
Silence, you subhuman. This is what Larian thinks of your slave race, by the way. An 8 INT troony, strong as a bear, too stupid to tie its shoes, that's all the best of your kind can amount to
kek literally a moronic they/them orc
i dont know if based or cringe
Akschually the miracle of Larian's homebrew character creator means you can have a 17 CHA Warlock half-orc at level 1.
>even the most transsexual orc is stronger than puny humans
Yep, best race.
???
Everyone gets +2. A human can start at 17 STR as well. Pippin the hobbit can also start at 17 STR.
>orcs
>ogres
>etiquette class
I still don't understand why the hirelings are prebuilt. Seems kinda petty, like they needed to stop people from taking along attractive females or a stereotypical Dwarf bro
Paladin is probably gonna be a better choice than warlock if i wanna charisma focused character, right?
I just dunno about just spamming eldritch blast and using two spells before i have to sleep it off.
Sorcerer is way more fun than paladin and your power is yours.
Well, being autistic about min maxin shit is probably just hurt me in the long run, so i will run what will feel like fun.
You can do both.
2 Warlock 10 Paladin, for extra smites from warlock spell slots and adding charisma to weapon attacks. But you miss the extra attack at level 11. But you can gain superior dark vision.
Warlock gets stronger from CHA in combat, so not necessarily.
It's more like 6 spells per long rest. Level cap ends before the warlock spell slot restriction becomes dramatically aids anyway. A 10Warlock/2Paladin will probably be the fastest to come online and most powerful Smite spammer going by what's currently revealed. A 7Lock/2Pal/3Sorc split could also work for more spell slots but that's end game type shit and you lose out on lv 5 spells
Black swole barb mating press Shadowheart
Can you take Minthara on a good playthrough along with Shadowheart or will it be awkward af?
Isn't shadowheart some priest serving an evil god?
Yeah, she's a priestess of Sugma.
She is but from what Ive seen you can have her lean either way. Me and my friend probably wont be pure good but we dont want to be forced to be evil too often either (dont mind a bit).
She is a cleric of Shar, but she also suffers from amnesia and secretly hates doing evil actions and prefers more peaceful/happy approaches. If you murder the tieflings she tries to act tough, but you can read her thoughts and reveal that she is actually a shaking mess.
There's also hints she may be a brainwashed Selunite.
Some anon claimed that she is a male brainwashed cleric of Selune...
that would be so funny
imagine all the homies romancing her only to found in act3 that shes a man
I pray to Selune this is true.
>troony
>is brainwashed
subtle
How flexible is party management in this? Could I run through everything with two members of the same class without missing anything in the world? I want to be able to run with the coolest girls in the game.
you can respec everyone as many times you want
better be a harem mod on day 1
>mod
Harems have already been confirmed.
nah, cuck-mode is confirmed, with female characters fricking male NPCs. Sure you can frick everyone but everyone can frick everyone else too.
just dont let any other men join your group and you will be safe
better kill them to be safe
>Choose to do a celibate playthrough
>All of your companions turn into sodomite degenerates after the third boss
It's the stupid solution to leftist devs just having a male mc and three girl companions, then?
there will be no sex in the camp
watch me, b***h
>tfw no dark urge dragonborn bf
He would MINIMUM make you watch him kill someone during the day and spank you until you're a sobbing mess at night. Is that what you want, you sick pervert?
y-yeah.....
Well, I think that's based and I agree.
Human fighter male
Does a Versatile weapon use Great Weapon Fighting or Dueling? Can you choose how many hands you're holding a weapon with?
>not playing satan
Based. Nice skill set too. Though doesn't the fiend pack imply some greater fiend that you answer to? Perhaps some kind of...megasatan?
thread was safe from homosexuals it seems
good going
More like Baldur's Gay
>Party leader is a human male fighter
>You follow him the entire game no matter how much of a hypocritical douche he is
WHEN IS IT FRICKING OOOOOUT???
7 days?
omg just like that movie the ring
3rd
Dragonborn.
Tail or tailless?
Tail.
Anything that makes them more like a good replacement for lizardfolk, the better.
I need the tail. I'm so thankful the devs put the option in the fricking game because no-tail dragonborn look like the dumbest shit.
Tail, of course. It's unequivocally cooler than no tail. Though why they had to include such a stupid race is beyond me; a basic lizardman would be 2x cooler than the "dragonborn."
What the frick does Dancing Lights do?
>Dancing Lights
>concentration cantrip (broken by damage or casting another concentration spell)
>20m cast range on any open space
>Light
>non-concentration cantrip (free use like you're waifu) but lasts a minute
>point blank cast range on any entity (DEX save if unwilling)
you cast Dancing Lights from a distance to peek into dark areas or distract somebody. this makes it good for peeking into dark places from a safe distance, and concentration means you only have to cast it again if you get hurt or need to relocate it
you cast Light on a person or object to turn it into a light source for up to a minute or 10 turns. this is good for making a stealthshitter unable to hide from you by sticking him with a flare basically, or turning your pointman into a mobile torch. you can cast concentration spells while it's up, but you have to be able to run up and touch it with your big gay moron hands
it creates wisps of light that illuminate a 9m radius.
Holy shit the people that did the writing in this game have the literary level of highschool students posting on tiktok.
Now go and get ya frickin' Shadowheart porn.
