Almost done with Act 2! Just wanted to say that. Now I’m going to leave this thread to avoid any spoilers. Feel free to reply to me with anything you want, I won’t read it.
they do this every time, it's why Early Access is a thing, it allows them to polish the early content as much as possible
most people don't go beyond the first act anyway, so people's impression of it is usually favorable and they'll leave a positive review
Act 3 has its moments. You finally unlock all the illithid powers, you get some of the best equipment and it has some of the most interesting areas. But it feels so rushed. It’s filled with bugs, most quests only have one or two ways to resolve them and the game doesn’t let you go off script
Like someone has already explained you reach Act 3 almost already at the 12th level and therefore you have the whole new act without any gain in terms of exp.
Also while it's nice to explore the city and some quest are nice, many of their resolutions are terribly anticlimactic, like Gortash and Orin.
Raphael is probably the best thing about act 3 imho, but otherwise I found that whole part boring
i want to like act 3 because it has the big city but it's entirely underwhelming and buggy, the narrative, pacing and direction is just terrible and you can easily skip over a lot of content. act 2 is bad because shadowlands-style shit is always bad and then act 1 becomes retroactively bad because none of the stuff in act 1 has good pay offs in the later acts
This meme is old and busted. Act 1 is only the best for ADHD normies who can't keep track of plot, don't read and just want to explore generic fantasy fields/forest for the Nth time.
Act 3's biggest issues are firstly that you're likely maxed out before reaching it if you fully explore acts 1 and 2, despite 3 being larger than both so it feels like you stop progressing too early, and that the directions for some quests can be kinda vague so you'll spend unnecessary time running around. Outside of that it is solid.
Act 1's only good part is the Underdark, the surface is painfully boring unless you've never played an RPG before.
Killing tieflings is like 90% of my gameplay. I just keep killing them over and over. You can kill about 5 in the druid's grove and get away with it. Wait 6 the thieving kid.
Just tieflings isn't enough. The dwarves need to go, and the haflings and gnomes also. And let's not forget about the elves. Really, it's a real sewer out there, and we're gonna have to clean it all up.
You're level capped as soon as you get there and all the gear and such is redundant. Takes the whole point out of the game. May as well be playing with a cheat mode on.
I agree that being capped too early is a problem. IMO given the length and number of missions in act 3, they could easily have circumvented this issue by either making going from level 8 to 12 significantly harder, so you'd be on your way to your ultimate build for everyone by the end of act 2 and would reach it mid act 3, or they could simply say frick it to balance and such shit and just let you go above 12 and in response make encounters in late act 3 extra hard to account for your busted kit. Really not that hard and thankfully mods allow us to fix it.
This isn't true. Act 3 was probably my favorite because of the city and all the npcs you can interact with. The biggest criticism I've heard is that it's too long, which really isn't a bad thing if you enjoyed the gameplay.
I liked act 3 the most out of the three, I don't really know what problem people have with it. I guess it's because I'm playing it after all the patches but it can't have been THAT busted and it still has all the best bosses and encounters in the game.
>make it to act three as Shadowheart >do the cloister quest by killing Viconia and siding with Shar etc. >exit the cloister >talk to npc by the exit >it's Viconia >she tells me (Shadowheart) that she wants me to bring Shadowheart so that they can talk
This is the goty of 2013.

Reply to this post or your mother will die in her sleep
Isn't that the best way to go?

/tg/ said you don't even get to visit Baldurs Gate itself wtf
techincally you do but you don't ever go into the inner city
Stupid image. Act 2 is clearly the weakest part because they give you the DnD equivalent of the Ashbringer in Act 1.
Wow! I can't wait. This is going to be epic.
DivOS 2.5
scratch that, DivOS2.1
DOS sucks balls
Boy I sure love having to do combat twice because muh epic shield
> troony Gate 3
Absolutely disgusting.
bg3 has the same vibe as dragon age sequels. game made for homosexuals and women
Act3 is great tho? 2 is the weakest for sure but it has its moments

Oh that's why it's called Baldur's Gate 3! Because it has 3 acts!
You didn't play it.
Coaliest thread on the log
DOS1 and 2 had the same issues.

Act 3 was by far the best act, I never understood this meme
because it is not.
