>Those aren't their characters.
Drizzt and Elminster existed before Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. Didn't stop them from getting shoved in those games.
What difference does it make? They're all Forgotten Realms characters.
>Those aren't their characters.
And Bioware doesn't give a frick about Baulder's Gate, much less Minsc or Jaheira anymore and just left them to rot. At least Larian's giving them a chance to come back and be in the spotlight again.
Larian didn't make jack shit canon you moron, charname, aka Abdel Adrian, already had a canon before Larian came in
Viconia just got done dirty in this game, and so did Sarevok
>done dirty >alive and became Mother Supreme for Shar
Sounds alot better than dying offscreen despite being max level. Sarevok also has a kino arena, great voice work and they made that whole part of the story one of the best parts. Hell I think its more you think Sarevok, who was just another Bhaalspawn of many per ToB, should be held up on a pillar. He is someone who just fricked up the iron supply to hoard it and come into the sword coast as a hero and start a war between BG and Amn, to become a lord of murder. A plotline that really only comes up at the like 70% mark of BG1.
Not that anon but I found Sarevok's characterization kind of weird because of the new voice actor. Also they turned him white when he was black in ToB. I'm not sure why they did that or why they keep flip flopping his race. I think he was white in the first game but you never see a portrait of him.
Charname was assassinated very shortly into the ToB storyline according to WotC. All of the people b***hing about Larian's treatment of the characters is actually WotC's fault since they had to build off of their official lore.

Not really, Viconia is on Larian for example
It's like a mix of the games and the canon

Viconia's characterization is fine. She's a b***h unless you go out of your way to romance her.
fun fact, if you go into the character window and spin shadowheart around left or right then stop, the ponytail will stop and rest on the front side of armor (it has physics, not static)
I wish they didn't use Minsc or Jaheira. Those aren't their characters.
That's what I thought before meeting them. I wish they used more. It's not like nu-neo-ex-Bioware has any claim to them either.

I wish they weren't in Baldur's Gate either. At least Drizzt is just a small cameo.

They should have never brought Viconia and Sarevok back, pure nostalgiabait.
>Viconiagay mad that Larian made the virgin end canon

Is there any video with her? It's just one screenshot that's always posted here.
Literally just go to youtube and type Viconia, sort by newest this week
Larian's Viconia doesnt even look like Viconia
>Viconia then
BG1 and 2 Viconias don't even look alike
to be fair the viconia in bg2 was literally a shooped porn star
It was?
that was pretty good bait.
>Bhaalspawn canonically had children (Jaheira implies it if you play Dark Urge and ask about it)
>they're not in the game
There's your DLC plot
are they hers. the game is based if they are.
No, but she does adopt like 5 unrelated kids
Nope. Guess who won?
>Literally doesn't even get mentioned
Not being in this game is a blessing so I guess she did win, technically
She doesn't get mentioned because she lived a nice normal life with Charname, without any adventuring and godspawn or shit like that.
Charname was assassinated very shortly into the ToB storyline according to WotC. All of the people b***hing about Larian's treatment of the characters is actually WotC's fault since they had to build off of their official lore.

She does, but not in that context. Minsc talks about her being his second witch but leaves everything else about her ambiguous.
fun fact, if you go into the character window and spin shadowheart around left or right then stop, the ponytail will stop and rest on the front side of armor (it has physics, not static)
so much little DETAIL in this game
No they didn't. Matter of fact, they did zero justice to him, Jaheira, and Viconia.
better than what beamdog did, I will grant you that. Minsc spazzing over gamegate is still the funnies shit I ever saw
I don't know shit about BG3. Are they continuing the bhaalspawn plot? Is the MC the same from the previous games?
Old MC is MIA because it's 100 years later, but yea it's about Bhaalspawns. And Banespawns and Myrkulspawns
>MIA
Isn't he dead? That's what Murder in Baldur's Gate was about.
Not video game, not canon. He's dead from old age, Jaheira says he lived a happy life.
Did she talk about getting railed by big bhaalspawn wiener
nope, she's a permanent widow
Now I'm just confused on what gets considered canon. I'll just finish the game and look it up later.
It's funny to me this game/setting/whatever has a magic the gathering set despite being more violent than Walking Dead
They did a better job writing Minsc than Bioware did. I made him a brave paladin chad because it seemed to fit his new personality more.
