didn't they just do the new castlevania which was animated like shit?

Most anime studios in Japan these days outsource their animation to overseas individual contractors, and in-house is responsible largely for cleanup. Source: in animation field. Some of my French, African and Indonesian friends drew cuts for Boruto and Attack on Titan.

        >Most
Source? Also a Jap directing the project and a Jap studio shitting out the keyframes makes it more anime than a purely Korean moneygrab

          Anonymous

It's not openly advertised, but plenty of my Japanese animator friends quit because they were stuck doing cleanups instead of actual animation drawings, because it's cheaper to hire individual temp contractors overseas. If you think attack on titan the final season is animated mostly in-house, you're in for a surprise.

some of the largest studios outsourcing parts of the production is a far cry from most anime studios outsourcing their work though

It is a BS larp homosexual blogpost. The guys at Sunrise themselves said the problem in anime right now is that they have skilled key animators, but they don't have enough inbetweeners. That's the reason why CGI is getting used so much because only the 40+ animators can actually do hand drawn animation.
Yutapon said the same thing for Bones which is why Bones has a training studio now.
Less than 10% of the entire industry is under 40 right now.

No they don't they only out source the worst of the worst work. Backgrounds keyframes tweens to all important scenes etc etc is all in house. Only colouring and shit that takes so much time is sent over seas to south east asia not korean(it costs too much).
        >Boruto
        >Toei
        >Comparing fricking Toei to the god damn anime industry of Japan. The company so god damn cheap the hire the people no one else will and pay them nothing.

Let me guess you think they don't draw on paper still too. Real studios do as much as possible in house and with AI nothing is going to be going over seas soon since artists can spend more time on key frames and good shit while AI pumps out the tweens.

why are you talking about toei randomly?

Toei has spent some money in recent years on getting good animators for One Piece. Still pacing issues because of how they're choosing to weekly adapt it but it's objectively high quality.

Giving unimportant cuts to Koreans is different than relying on them for most of the creative and directorial process.
Even Miyazaki is willing to subcontract out to studios like DR Movie, but that is different than letting them lead the project itself.

The Cyberpunk anime was good because they chose one of the best anime studios around, and then gave them a lot of creative control.
This is going to be awful because there are no great Korean studios, and there aren't any great Korean animation directors or writers. The biggest and best Korean studios are dedicated to doing fill work on Japanese projects for a reason.

FLCL, TTGL and P&S are much more famous, higher in quality and iconic than anything Trigger has done. Edgerunners probably saved them from irrelevancy. Bring the first thing actually good they made since becoming a studio.
