Fricking Ubisoft released Ghost Recon Breakpoint 4 years ago and it looks better. Look at that medallion for example. The outer (left on the pic) edge should be in shadow from her top, yet it has a shine. Her hair should make more shadows in her face. Etc.
Graphics aren't everything. The game has other shortcomings that matter more than that

Oh, the game isn't bad. It's just got notable flaws like the very limited character creation. If you liked Divinity chances are you'll enjoy this as well.

It's because it strictly adheres to D&D rulesets so spellcasting is more limited and classes are based on what's fun in pen and paper game for the most part. Larian did make some changes to improve classes like Monk and it's still a great game, it's just held back slightly by being so faithful to the source material. Which is a very odd complaint about a modern piece of media so I can't fault it too much.

Mostly because of combat pacing. In tabletop turns take longer to play out which leads to the opposite being true (for pacing). On a computer turns are faster to execute because there is less manual paperwork and rolling etc., so the older ruleset has better pacing.
