BG act 3 alone is the game of the year.
It's not bad, just unfinished. There are some legit kino moments like the entire house of hope, bhaal temple and the hag fight but the finale is blatantly incomplete. If feels like the failstate ending that you get if you didn't explore enough and there is no closure whatsoever. You get a short little janky-ass cutscene and that's it, there is no celebration at the elfsong, there are no ending slides, it just... ends and cuts to credits. Act 3 is probably 8/10 without the last final bit but with it it's like 5/10.
It's a shame because if they had released everything they had originally planned such as the upper city it could be 10/10 but they probably ran out of money.
I just wish people would shut the frick up about this game. I can't even tell if half of these posts are honest shilling, or just ironically probing for a blowback against the screeching hordes. Really just sick of hearing people gush about it, because it doesn't sound entirely genuine - More like somebody trying to brute-force acclaim Forest Gump as the best movie ever made.
BG3, from the outside, appears to be a decent but abstractly pandering neo-mainstream game being blown out of proportion by a lot of people with basic b***h taste and a tendency to buy every AAA product that their gamer friends shout at them about.
