It’s more like OS1 with percentage based chances to hit rather than guaranteed hits and armour blocking status effects. There’s also a hell of a lot less movement abilities so positioning matters a lot more in combat
Movement, using potions and attacking are separate actions, as well as things like pushing, hiding, etc, rather than being tied to action points.
The main departure is that skills have no cool-down, but instead have limited uses per rest. You can have two short rests to recharge minor abilities and heal a small amount, and one long rest that starts a new day to recharge all your abilities and fully heal (assuming you have sufficient camp supplies).

So far there aren’t any time sensitive quests in early access.
You’re also encouraged to long rest fairly often due to the camp scenes being where a lot of dialogue prompts come up with companions. You don’t need to after every fight like the shitter anon said, but it’s definitely a bad idea to try hoarding resources and going long stretches without a rest. Usually I rest once per quest
