Act3 to rein things back in to the plot and lock in your final builds >Act4 to finish the plot
Honestly pretty good structure
No, but it'll be great clickbait for them, and great shitpost fodder for the "shill shill everyone is shilly shills!" spammer bots here, so it'll be incessant.

Kingdom Come 2 is being published by Deep Silver. Warhorse won't get journo'd because Deep Silver is going to force them to add all that undesirable shit.
It will be just free publicity, just like fore their first game. It was shit and the exact opposite of historical, but it sold well because it got free advertisement from hysterical gays.
What's the matter, not enough world saving in that one? Lack of romances got to you.

Coping with what? That AoD succeeded and they're making another rpg?

Nice deflection. You know what I meant.
Imagine using ""success" as a measure of quality unironically. Especially since it really is ""success"" with a game like that.
You are about as clever as the AoD is - not very much, but it likes to pretend to be.

You didn't say a single word that'd remove from AoD's quality so it's safe to assume you have nothing.

So much fun!

You're complaining about skillchecks while clearly trying to minmax them Might as well check the forums for the exact level you need instead of spending points that fit the role you srlected. Most checks in Teron need 4 points, and the ones that result in death, after multiple fails, are side quests like the palace breakin.

I don't care what people here think. I liked Cyberpunk 2077 a ton.
They are a sub-writer in charge of the dialogue for some of the companions and key NPCs.
Specifically, they had a leading role in managing the gith npc companion and the warlock NPC companion.
Also, the crazy druid lady from the EA area.
In case you are unfamiliar with common practices in the industry, that doesn't mean they wrote those characters freely, it means they presented a first draft, were given feedback by the brand managers (Hasbro) and the other writers, then had to address said feedback.
Assuming this is true,
I've yet to see anything bad about the frog's characterization so far, in the sense that she acts like I'd expect someone from her race to, and is not an annoying immersion-breaking girlboss.
Wyll I don't give a shit about.
Kagha is kinda aggravating and perhaps one of the sore thumbs of the characters I've seen, but there are other problems with the grove quest so maybe that's why she suffers as a result of needing to be a "villain"
I don't mind characters being annoying.
My problem with BG3 is that so far EVERYONE is a piece of shit.
The only remotely sympathetic people so far are an annoying self-centered Black person that larps as a folk hero and a naive, preachy priestess from an evil murder cult.
Yes, it makes sense for the gith to be insufferable "in character", but "I'm just playing my character" has never been an excuse in rpgs. If the character is a piece of shit, they are a piece of shit because you wrote them that way, not because "They come from an evil civilization of racist slaver pirates that are completely subservient to their lich queens".

Nah. Wyll, Gale and Shadowheart approve of my actions as a OoD Paladin. Wyll is particularly a good guy ONLY if you stop him from torturing that guy Gale seems fine and Shadowheart is literally brainwashed and fine otherwise

Gale's a passive-aggressive dickhead who constantly tries to guilt you into doing what he wants. The only reasons I bring him along is A.) he's less of an butthole than the githyanki and the vampire spawn, and B.) it's funny watching him get his ass kicked.

Froggy is not a piece of shit, or insufferable, or even particularly racist though. She thinks a little too highly of herself (as a gith warrior should) and dislikes wasting time helping every weakling (as a gith should) but that's pretty much the baseline of everyone who is not Chaotic Stupid
That's not what I meant.
I mildly dislike Faerun because it's a pointlessly cosmopolitan setting full of weird one-trick-pony cultures.
I don't even mind Greenwood. Naked sword-witches and demon-fricking spider-bitches are absolutely fine compared to Faerun gnomes and their turnip jokes.
5e takes this mildly annoying setting and makes it aggravating by making gnomes, halflings, goblins even more annoying and making the political situation even more nonsensical - because it tries to "update" a setting that is just a pile of discarded D&D campaigns stacked on top of each other but refuses to just follow the rule of "whatever will make a more for a more engaging game".
tl;dr: I blame everything bad on 5e Faerun.

Elaborate, for someone who cares little about the little races

5e writers think kender, gully dwarves and tinker gnomes from Dragonlance are great.
So they doubled down on making 5e short races more "hilarious". It was also a reaction against the 4e-era drive to make all races serious and remove from players any excuse to act like a moron.
This included not just characterization but also artistic direction, which resulted in races with grotesquely large heads and exagerated expressions, like something generated by an AI tasked with creating "CalArts characters in D&D".
I trust Swen since his last two games were great. All studios have moronic people in them, if I didn't play a game just because one of the devs is a moronic leftist then I would play literally zero games.
Not this section specifically, but I was so fricking tired of cursed fire by endgame
Everywhere, every encounter, the map was fricking coated in it unless you wasted actions clearing it for one drop of aids blood to recurse an entire field of it
Only buy games you intend to play soon. If you want no story and all gameplay, OS1 is good. If you want story and good but flawed gameplay you can mod to be better, go for OS2.
You can play DOS2, but my advice would be to rush it, don't linger too long in zones, limit yourself to just a few side quests that seem fun or companion quests. The game has ~4-5 zones and 70% of the content is in the first two, meaning that if you're autistic and do every side quest, you'll burn out by the end of act 2. Hell, lower the difficulty, or add a mod to give yourself some additional perks, and go through the game like a knife in butter, being OP is great in this game.
holy shit this might be the worst take ive ever seen on OS2.
Play OS2 like you would an immersive sim and play it ont he hardest difficulty because immersive sim hijinks with puzzle battles is where the game is at its best.
Grand Duke Ulder Ravenguard. He was an officer in the Flaming Fist, and was elevated to the position of lord marshal shortly after the death of Abdel Adrian. Afterwards, he was elected the new grand duke, despite the protests from the Parliament of Peers about his refusal to relinquish his official position as head of the Flaming Fist.
Oh. I thought my Female Dragonborn could dick down Shadowheart. Who the FRICK cares about Type 1/2 shit. Wake me up when something non moronic is announced.

Larian were almost destroyed by the shitty requirements pushed on them by the D&D team.
At least their engine is mod friendly so we can eventually fix the abomination that is 5e and get rid of the disgusting character models.
I haven't played the game since the last patch came out (where they added the Paladin class), is it worth replaying the updated game to keep myself busy until it releases? (I'm impatient and hate waiting).
I could never get the final "dream lover" scene to trigger, what did I do wrong?
Also bumping my previous question
I haven't played the game since the last patch came out (where they added the Paladin class), is it worth replaying the updated game to keep myself busy until it releases? (I'm impatient and hate waiting).
What makes this image eternally funny is that you're 80% sure it has to be a self-deprecating joke considering how stupid it looks. But then you remember where you are, and that the guy (or a good impostor) actually tried to defend this over the years... and there's that 20%.
Do you want to romance? I assume so.
Then you may want to create self-insert and romance whoever you find the hottest.
Otherwise you may want to create a female you'd like to frick and let her frick other hot females. Or males, if you're into that.
Just keep in mind some of those games have restrictions and characters may be straight or gay or whatever and may not want to romance yours. It should't be the case in this one, because all companions are player-sexual.
You guys making an OC MC or use the origin characters? played since launched 2~3 years ago so been playing with OC and while it feels fun, feels like Origin will give more narrative experience. When I played DOS2, I played the Human Male guy and felt like story was more fleshed out
The DOS2 origin character definitely got better narrative hooks than customs, but apparently they're working to give custom characters a better story in this game, so I'll make my own.
Kill the Mind Flayer and the Cambion commander.
If you also kill the 2 devils that show up as backup you'll be close to hitting level 3 by the time you get off the nautiloid. Head to the Jergal temple and you'll hit level 3 before even starting the fight at the gates of the grove.
Then if you do enough content you can easily hit level 5 before the gith patrol or the underdark.
is this an overwhelming game or can anyone jump in and relatively quickly get the hang of it?
DnD 5e is fairly easy to get into and it's really really difficult to truly frick up your character unless you multiclass with no idea what you're doing.
Most people should be able to jump in. Unironically I think Ganker on average is incredibly stupid and might struggle. Just depends on whether you're literate or a homosexual moron.
Ye, pretty pleased to see they pushed forward to Aug 3 instead of end of Aug because of Starfield even though Im 100% sure Starfield is gonna get delayed. Kinda worried how the entire game would be because Act 1 got changed a lot due to community suggestion, wonder if the following acts can stick it as well.
>Now for the Warlock >We've heard your cries and we're here to answer, and we're now introducing the addition of HEXBLADE! >...In the first DLC to be released for Baldurs Gate 3...
I wouldn't mind if Hexblade wasn't so fricking boring flavor-wise. The best move they could pull is just rolling some hexblade features into pact of the blade.
For me it's just the fact it's only ever seen as a dip. Going full 20 levels of hexblade is moronic. But Hexblade 1/Paladin 19 is the most broken shit in the game. And a literally braindead gorilla can pull it off.
Babbys first multiclass.
All warlocks really need with pact is to make their charisma modifier used for attacks, right? Couldn't be that hard to mod in i imagine if it doesnt make it
>but would an OoD pally even bother with a cleric of Shar for even one minute instead of smiting her on the spot
Absolutely. Now, Oath of Vengeance brings to mind...
But if you smite the cleric of the evil god on the spot you will not be respecting their religious freedoms and that's a big no no, stop being a bigot, what have evil gods ever done to you ?
Suffering is subjective, what's suffering for the followers of the good deities is bliss for the followers of the evil deities, stop being a bigot please.

That's her default face. The thing that's modded about her in that screenshot is the hair.
That's her old face/ animations from early patch I think. It's better now, but the data mined hair mod is the main thing. Pretty sure it's in the top 10 on Nexus. It's a loose mod for manual install so just merge the Data folders, no mod manager install.
>Completing his dialogue for being hit 3 times grants you "Loviatar's Love". Which is a permanent buff "When below 30% health, you get a +2 to attacks and saving throws."

Lads, be honest with me, what are the chances of game going on sale any time before release? I want to convince my friend to buy it sooner (so we can get started 3 days earlier), but I also don't wanna miss out
Does anyone know how bad latency will affect gameplay? I might want to play with Ganker but I am really far away from everyone here. Also, how does dialogue work with multiplayer in this?
(I'm assuming you mean Divinity Original Sin 2 and not Divinity 2: Ego Draconis)
DOS2 is a lot more accessible and easy to get into if you're not familiar with DnD (3.5e specifically). Also it's exclusively turn based.
Pathfinder has a lot of depth and width but all the build options can very easily overwhelm you. But it has a plethora of difficulty options and tweaks so you can make it as easy or as ballbusting hard as you want. You can switch between turn based and real time with pause freely.
I like both Divinity:Original Sin 2 and Pathfinder:Kingmaker. If you have to buy only one i'd have to go with DOS2. It is pretty unique to skip. I recommend both.
I don't trust her and her spikeball tbh, and I don't trust the green b***h either. But then again maybe I'll like Shadowheart once i get further in the game
First one looks like deviantart trash from someone who never played the game and only had a brief and misleading description to draw a character. Jaheira was never a redhead pure elf, elegant and refined. Second one looks lore accurate for an aging half-elf. Good job Larian.
If I were to play homosexual's advocate, Jaheira should be a pretty damn high level druid at this point in time and have access to youth-restoring magic or at least almost not age at all. But in canon she's still a mid tier druid after a century, try to make some sense out of that.
I don't know it seems Heidi Shannon practically fell off the face of the Earth after BG2. Beamdog even tried to contact her to reprise her role in Siege of Dragonspear to no avail. Hopefully she simply just retired from acting.
180 years
and they come out as perfect half-elves, the world of FR doesn't concern itself with realistic admixture and 1/16th elves who totally feel connected with their elven ancestry even though they've never been to elven lands and are just annoying posers who can't shut up
Just hold out until July 31st at least. By then you should be upgraded to the deluxe edition if you got it during early access. Which enables you to play all of act 1, even areas that have yet to be accessible in addition to all of the features of the 1.0. Plus, all of your progress made from then on will be transferable.

I was surprised Act 1 is really long, cause when i first got it during launch, I thought act 1 was up until you get to the boat, and I already clocked 40 something hours which was pretty long considering DOS2 act 1 was like 50. I do wish they update the camping, a lot of dialogue is so easily miss because I don't long rest enough, since the encounters aren't hard and a lot of it is tied to long resting after doing a specific action
>I was surprised Act 1 is really long, cause when i first got it during launch, I thought act 1 was up until you get to the boat
A pleasant surprise for sure. It seems like the first act will start from the Nautoloid and will end at Moonrise Towers. I hope the 2nd and 3rd act have plenty to offer, I suspect the city of Baldur's Gate itself will probably be most of act 2. >I do wish they update the camping, a lot of dialogue is so easily miss because I don't long rest enough
I agree, that was a major gripe I had as well. So many questlines would be bugged out because I didn't rest or other companions dialogue would take priority over another. This was really bad for Gale in particular as he would be at the bottom in terms of priority. Making progress in his quest much longer. I don't know why they just can't make you talk to all of your companions every night?

Is it just 3 Acts? Frick, was hoping for at least 5. >Making progress in his quest much longer. I don't know why they just can't make you talk to all of your companions every night?
yeah, or at least make it when you travel to camp instead of hitting long rest then again a lot of the dialogue implies youre going to sleep after/it being night time.

Originally that's how it was but they added the Grymforge section in a patch. Surprised a lot of people.

I ran into the same issue since I tend to be super careful with how I use my resources in case I have to fight something bigger right after.
But I'll try to rest more and be more liberal with my spell and ability usage.

Yeah, didn't even know it was a thing since i stopped playing and only came back when Paladin was dropped. was surprised they added a new section, was pretty neat but the Grymforge section is pretty fast. Same, I was thinking that it would be 7 much like the original Baldur's Gate. Perhaps that would've taken too long in terms of development? Hopefully with the three act structure there is. That all of the content is balanced between them, providing a rich experience throughout the campaign.

I think the issue is you're not really forced to go long rest unless you're a caster type. Like my lineup is usually Shadowheart, Laezel/Astarion, Gale and I only Long rest when spell slots are used but if you go melee type party you don't really have to sleep since your combat effectiveness doesn't dip down that much and it resets on a short rest.

Yeah, well hoping if they do do DLC, it increases the level cap a bit more and more acts. I didn't finish DOS 2 ( got demotivated when you leave the island and you get on the boat, then finding out you can remap skill points) but are Larian acts averaging 30~50 hours per act? if so 150~200 hours for BG3 seems okay.

Good point. I'll try to rest after every... 2-3 encounters let's say. Provided I get enough food which I'm confident I will since I explore ever nook and cranny usually.

From what I understand, the at least three other areas that are yet to be accessible. Including the Mountain Pass beyond the Gith patrol, the Shadowcursed Lands, and lastly Moonrise Towers.

game is pretty generous in camp supplies. i remember playing Kingmaker and totally getting fricked when i didn't bring enough camp shit
>game is pretty generous in camp supplies.
Food will be harder to come by in the full game.
In the early access they intentionally made it more abundant so people can rest often and experiment.
>Food will be harder to come by in the full game. >In the early access they intentionally made it more abundant so people can rest often and experiment.
Oh yeah, so that will make long resting harder. Then again Act 1 is long so maybe the conversations are more spaced out when it comes out in full. I've played Act 1 like 3~4 times so I already have a route in mind.
that is true but you can usually finish a lot of shit before that prompts, they should just make the encounters harder, the only encounter that was hard pre level 5 implementation for me were the minotaurs and the bullette, post level 5 the Gith squad but only if you go underleveled. Level 3 spells make the encounter so easy.
From what little we've seen of the actual city of Baldur's Gate. I wonder how much content there will be in act 2 if I am to believe that is when we arrive there. They even mention that they packed all of the sections together somehow. Making it seamless, according to their description.

Yeah BG proper is going take like 20-40 hours alone if its as dense as it seems. Like towns in Larian games are tiny compared to that, and you could talk and do shit around Cyseal and Driftwood for a quite awhile
not him but the companions always hint on romance even if you use the dialogue that turns them down, it comes up again after a while. I wish when you reject someone its fricking permanent.

>I wish when you reject someone its fricking permanent.
The same could be said in reality, can it not?
there's only one act in the early access and it's not even complete so the full release has the entire rest of the game + more classes + more spells + more feats + more races
The last 80% of the game. You should wait simply because your save won't transfer from early access to the real thing and you don't want to finish the early access content and then turn around and have to repeat it.
EA is not even a "real" build, it's a special cut of Act 1 only with features they want to showcase or players to test. It's not up to date build with gated part of Act 1 as people tend to think.
Anon, they'll only express interest in your character should you make the first move. The same goes for the female characters.
No, all it takes a high enough approval for them to hit on you at the camp party after dealing with goblins.
>No, all it takes a high enough approval for them to hit on you at the camp party after dealing with goblins.
Even then you can still refuse, or you could just not talk to them at the party if it bothers you so much.
Even then, men shouldn't hit on men as if completely normal because homosexuals are still and always will be a minority. This is why the playersexual thing is completely moronic and it puts people off.
Are Giths supposed to be seen as beautiful in game? there's a dialogue where you're mistaken as an elf in the grove by the one of the children because elves are supposedly beautiful
I wanted to make a Gith Bard. Idk, the fricking contrast of it made the horny part of my brain smile. This was an alt run anyway. I think Laezel's model looks really nice.
Well how long is a WotR run that this becomes a concern with 4 weeks left? Sometimes I forget people here are not neets with 16 daily hours of free time like me
>the gameplay adapts the worst system of them all, 5e, and attempts to fix it by duct taping Divinity Original Sin 2 mechanics into it >the plot is a jumbled, disjointed mess of unnecessary plot twists, because Larian can't write a story without beating you over the head with senseless spectacle and sex like you're an ADHD zoomer who can't read a line of text without keeling over and dying >the characters are unlikeable, miserable c**ts that treat you like shit and hope that you'll stick around long enough to find out their tragic backstory >but hey, at least all of them are bisexual and polyamorous, right?
A real savior of the genre, right there.
>the characters are unlikeable, miserable c**ts that treat you like shit and hope that you'll stick around long enough to find out their tragic backstory >but hey, at least all of them are bisexual and polyamorous, right?
Please tell me that playing lawful good in this game is going to let me slap all those b***hes around
Oh boy, new pasta to childishly reverse? let me have a try >the gameplay adapts the best system of them all, 5e, and elevates it by cleverly weaving Divinity Original Sin 2 mechanics into it >the plot is a thrilling, mysterious slow burner, where not a single piece is unnecessary, because Larian understands the narrative exercise of building-up for a grand finale and respects the player enough to not spoonfeed them the conclusion within the first minute >the characters are all likeable, flawed co-protagonists who treat you as an equal and are more than the fantasy stereotypes they would be in lesser games >and hey, they're also sexually interested into you, instead of denying you romance like Josh "gay fishlover" Sawyer
the first sex scene with lae'zel is her getting railed while you're laying under her and it zooms in on your character while liquids spill onto his/her face so yeah it's pretty bad
At this point there's nothing they can do but cope. The game will release and succeed and they'll post pictures about it here and nobody will care. Sad existence. Then they'll move onto Starfield.
As of right now, completely untrue. What is true is that a long ass time ago before the game went into EA a dev said that githyanki don't really do monogamy, but that is the only example of anyone mentioning it and since then there has been 0 cuck stuff. It is possible that Lae'zel will refuse to commit to you later in the story or something, but right now if you romance her she doesn't sleep with anyone else, nor do any of the other companions. We'll have to wait and see, but I wouldn't be surprised if those non-monogamy plans were scrapped since it's obviously an awful idea.
There is no cuckshit in BG3. If you don't romance a chick, she'll bang someone else cuz she's a loose alien. She won't do shit if you initiate the romance with her
Wyll and Gale's "romances" probably feel forced as frick considering they have their demonic/divine exes living rent free in their head. At least the girls don't have such baggage
The frog is a bawd some people count that as cuckshit
but I think the only way (You) can be cucked is if someone in multiplayer has a higher approval than you
>saves CRPGs
Saves gaming honestly. Larian is putting other studios to shame with the scope of what they're doing, and they pushed the release date forward.
If you don't multiclass Fighter 2 at a minimum on every single character you're doing it wrong.
Exception exists for CHA classes who all dip 2 or 6 levels in Paladin.
You would be giving up an ASI/feat and level 6 spells if you took 2 levels of fighter with a caster. Action surge is good but there are plenty of ways to give yourself the action economy advantage.
Losing the feat/ASI does suck (but tbh a caster only needs the two ASIs for their casting stat) but, and it may just be my way of looking at things...
I honestly don't care for any of the 6th level spells.
The only one that's normally prized is Otto's Dance because it's a guaranteed action waste on the enemy, but knowing Larian they'll probably make it a saving throw.
Disintegrate is situationally useful if they actually implement Wall of Force (doubt)
True Seeing, again, relies entirely on them actually having enemies that use illusions, mirror image (a heavily nerfed spell), shape shifting, etc.
Pic related, maybe you guys like some of them, but they're pretty miss for me.
does warlock even get anything at 12th level? i want to roll a warlock but i cant find anything on it, it seems like we get our 6th level spells at level 11 or something?
Warlocks are a special exception. At 11th they start getting mystic arcanum ability. They can cast a single 6th level spell per day or something like that.
Our last origin character will be a Halfling werewolf. Data miners thought she was an old lady but aren't sure anymore. Here's hoping we can frick the teddy bear.
Random conversations look on par with like how you would talk to random NPCs in Witcher 3, with it going back and forth between characters doing random hand/head motions. They've been tweaking the actual physical scenes alot like when the human/tiefling punches the other
>Divination wiz MC with big dick >Shadow cutie as healer-offtank >gay vamp
I need melee dd. i hate cuckshit so i kill the frog at the beginning. so who should be melee? tiefling lady?
>i hate cuckshit so i kill the frog at the beginning
Well there's no cuckshit in the game so you can stop killing the frog and just use her.
frog cheek will stole her and say ''frick you, human with an ugly big nose, i fricked your girlfriend, lol'' and you can't do anything. the most sad this is that shadowbutt won't ask you to forgive her or have any concerns about your feeling.
>Divination wiz MC with big dick >Shadow cutie as healer-offtank >gay vamp
I need melee dd. i hate cuckshit so i kill the frog at the beginning. so who should be melee? tiefling lady?
This is the last game that could possibly save this terrible year of disappointing game releases. Probably going to commit sudoku if it ends up being shit.
Gnomes get +2 to int and rock gnomes get a +1 to con which means extra HP and the enemyes will ahe a harder time breaking your concentration if they do hit you.
Deep gnome gets a +1 to dex instead and has superior dark vision and advantage on stealth checks.
Guys, I'm asking for permission. Can I play this game as a complete newcomer?
I for one thank this schizo.
It's because of him that when the discord gays started their raids in earnest, there was already over 100 examples of this 'sperg getting his tendies in a twist, and they still haven't found a way to downplay it.
Stop being a sissy. Be a real man, play the games you are interested in. People here keep shitting on me because i like and play Cyberpunk 2077 but i had listened to them i would've never played one of my favorite games of all time. Play what you like god dammit.
>People here keep shitting on me because i like and play Cyberpunk 2077 but i had listened to them i would've never played one of my favorite games of all time.
Imagine liking Cyberpunk lmao. I fricking loved it. Cannot wait for PL.
playing the duergar area gave me a fetish for sweaty duergar women
Come release you'll be able to make your tulpafu a duergar.
>Come release you'll be able to make your tulpafu a duergar.
yeah but the dream waifu is always nicely dressed. i want to accidentally stumble onto a tunnel full of sweaty duergar miner women who are mad at me. the absolute can't fulfill that one for me
I hope they give a mechanical reason to use the companions like they did for Astarion
So that they are a side grade to mercenaries and not completely inferior
>Non-origin companions reveal, we have no sorcerer nor monk companions
I'm fine with that. We have 2 casters already, do we need a third? Monks have always been their own thing. They don't cover a useful role in a party of 4 either.

they reveal some more companions (still surprised the numbers are so skewed in favor or origins)
cameos but then again it would be nice to stumble upon those yourself so I'm not sure what I want
they hint at the possibility of an expansion
Jaheira has now been a recruitable companion in not 1, not 2, but THREE (3) BG games and has barely leveled up since. How does that even make sense? Imagine another player getting a fricking 100 years headstart on you and you catch up after a month from level 1... Was she petrified as well or what?
By not killing shit or doing anything of note except living a rather normal life, or just fighting mundane things.
You would have to kill like 2000 goblins to reach level 12 or something.
There's a reason not every Elf you meet is level 20 despite being over 400 years old.
Right, but she wasn't some peasant enjoying a peaceful countryside life gardening some vegetables. She's a Harper. Adventuring and taking care of business is kinda their thing.
She's seen some shit, so she probably retired from her active adventuring life. From the spoilers and datamines I have seen she spent most time hanging out in Baldurs Gate or somethibg after her hubby died?
When I first started playing FFXI, I made friends with a handful of level 60 players. 10 months later, I was level 75, and some of them were still 60.
Not long till the pannel from hell on Friday.
What are your hopes and expectations?
>expectations
Helia, showing off Monk, Dragonborn and Half-Orc. >hopes
They announce a surprise JP translation so my favorite streamers can play it and know what's happening.
A dragon monk yes. Does it work similar no. Pathfinder is a completely different company and its 1e at least focuses on munchkin builds for sweaties, D&D 5e focuses on getting your girlfriend to play.
does warlock even get anything at 12th level? i want to roll a warlock but i cant find anything on it, it seems like we get our 6th level spells at level 11 or something?
Siege of Dragonspear has pretty fun encounter design and quests tbh, the biggest problem with it is the moronic pozzed Beam*og writing full of trannies and gays, well, that and how overleveled it makes you for BG2.
I know Larian is hardly squeaky clean on release quality, but to put it into perspective Beamdog made Bethesda look like paragons of quality control by comparison.
I can't wait for Bioware to try going back to their old stomping grounds after their GoW ripoff flops, being late for the party and getting humiliated.
Hopefully the full game sticks the landing. The early access has been top tier, so at worst we'll get one act of the best CRPG yet.
It will be massively frontloaded like all Larian games. Expect a dive in quality afterwards.
Baldur's Gate is the last act, we'll see if they can somehow escape their curse.
But the best Act in DOS2 is Act 2
this. act 2 is pure as frick kino. tbh i like act 4
>Act 1 to get to grips with systems
>Act2 is what ffxiii wishes it's free roam was
Act3 to rein things back in to the plot and lock in your final builds
>Act4 to finish the plot
Honestly pretty good structure
This.
i expect an undercooked final act with a great act1.
The only larian game where act 1 was the best was OS1

Warhorse is going to get journo'd into oblivion when they show Kingdom Come 2
Did anyone actually care about their wholly manufactured controversy? There's barely any black people in modern day Czechia.
No, but it'll be great clickbait for them, and great shitpost fodder for the "shill shill everyone is shilly shills!" spammer bots here, so it'll be incessant.
>journo'd into oblivion
>implying they matter
Does not matter their games sells to a point where even the devs were suprised.
noone will care but we'll see twitter screencaps of some bluehaired woman with 42 followers complaining for the next 6 months anyways bc noone can resist the bait
KDR was kino and how tf was it not historical? it's a fricking video game, what it does is an immersive simulacra not a 1 to 1 replica you autist
They spent years screaming about their supposed historical accuracy.
>supposed historical accuracy
more accurate than any other video game and most films so yea for what it is it's pretty damn historically accurate.
And they, nomen omen, delivered. For the most part.

Just how contrarian do you have to be to insist that.
>I still can't understand why people have to pretend Age of Decadence was any good.
Because it was.
Good one anon.
What's the matter, not enough world saving in that one? Lack of romances got to you.
Keep coping and gurgling shit to feel some degree of superiority.
You clearly need it.
>Imagine using ""success" as a measure of quality unironically.
You didn't say a single word that'd remove from AoD's quality so it's safe to assume you have nothing.

>I have sent my character with no stealth skills to invade some guys home and he shot me dead wtf???!!!
I'm sorry, but your game just isn't fun, is all. Might as well be playing Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar
If you can only strawman as an counteragument, then you are really just admitting defeat.
You talk like a genuine schizo, always moving the goalpost. Like I wrote above, you are just shit gurgler.
Still nothing, huh? Don't strain your wee brain, it's okay. Nobody expects much from you anyway.
skillchecks that would kill you in Colony Ship are usually very well telegraphed, if you die you did a shit job preparing
You're complaining about skillchecks while clearly trying to minmax them Might as well check the forums for the exact level you need instead of spending points that fit the role you srlected. Most checks in Teron need 4 points, and the ones that result in death, after multiple fails, are side quests like the palace breakin.

I do not think they were involved in making good games at any point.
That doesn't make it bas snowflake.
>I do not think they were involved in making good games at any point.

Real shame about za/um getting killed off. I even bought Disco Elysium since i hoped that the studio would survive.

Hey can you tell me how much this person is contributing to the game? Do you not know?

>EVERYONE is a piece of shit.
Nah, I only think Astarion and Laezel are bad.but thats in character, Shadowheart got updated a lot even though I personally didnt mind her original personality
>My problem with BG3 is that so far EVERYONE is a piece of shit.
Owlcat did nothing wrong
They gave players a big bisexual gryphon bf instead of an eight-tiddy goth werewolf gf.

You can just say that you hate 5e Forgotten Realms. Nobody would even disagree with you.
Forgotten Realms has always been like that, though. Hell, the games tend to tone it down considerably from Greenwood's bisexual free-love fantasyland.
>5e takes this mildly annoying setting and makes it aggravating by making gnomes, halflings, goblins even more annoying
This included not just characterization but also artistic direction, which resulted in races with grotesquely large heads and exagerated expressions, like something generated by an AI tasked with creating "CalArts characters in D&D".
>poster caring about game and its creators is somehow bad

>Kivan and Cernd are a married gay couple now
I trust Swen since his last two games were great. All studios have moronic people in them, if I didn't play a game just because one of the devs is a moronic leftist then I would play literally zero games.
But Swen is also a bad developer.
He's Swedish, some moronation is a given. He makes good games, that's all I care about.

Thanks for being honest. I could absolutely see why your tastes would steer you away from Divinity. Reasonable stance.
I prefer [list of games I haven't played, but understand to grant me "street cred" with the cool kids]
This anon (or some other anon who jumped in) was real about it and listed games they actually played. They're based for that.
Should I get DOS/DOS2 now or just wait for BG3? I'm afraid of getting burnout from them before BG3 releases.
They are both fricking shit, viewed with rose tinted lenses like Shitcher 1 and unmodded Shicher 2.
.
I'd hold off if I were you. There's a lot to do in those games.
You'll absolutely burn yourself out, wait for BG3 if you want to play all of them
They play differently enough I don't think you'll get burnout. The story in Div1 and 2 is pretty weak, though.
Larian's last good game was Divinity 2 (NOT Original sin). They haven't made anything decent since they fell for the crpg meme.
Probably pirating because I’m not sure how many girls are going to cuck me
I'm going to create a goodie-two shoes young male human paladin and romance Karlach. And he VILL make her happy.
So how many times am I going to be cucked ? And if I play pally how many times is larian going to attempt to make me fall with their shitty choices ?
You're going to be cucked on a nigh-constant basis. Not in the game, though, just in life.
>>>/vg/
I'm curious to know what you want a normal Ganker thread to look like
Two bots spamming "shill!" at each other until the limit. Good Ganker content.
I am going to learn to mod just so I can make sure someone creates a mods that removes troony char options and deBlack folk the Grand Duke.
Which grand duke is a Black person ?
The marshal of the Flaming Fist. He's a fricking Black person.
Grand Duke Ulder Ravenguard. He was an officer in the Flaming Fist, and was elevated to the position of lord marshal shortly after the death of Abdel Adrian. Afterwards, he was elected the new grand duke, despite the protests from the Parliament of Peers about his refusal to relinquish his official position as head of the Flaming Fist.
i'll pirate the game if and only if this mod is made

is it better as a male char or to create a waifu?
You will frick the waifu as a male character while self-inserting
the game practically forces you to have sex with male npcs either way
the devs are very vocal about the lgbtqp2+ support
>the game practically forces you to have sex with male npcs either way
That's true.

/vrpg/, where everything is an rpg
What makes this image eternally funny is that you're 80% sure it has to be a self-deprecating joke considering how stupid it looks. But then you remember where you are, and that the guy (or a good impostor) actually tried to defend this over the years... and there's that 20%.
/vrpg/
Why are you lying?
Pay him no mind, he's the guy from
image.
It depends on a game.
For me? It's Enchantment Wizard.
Romance? As long as the charm spell doesn't wear off.
be sure to hit lvl 2 before exiting the ship
Yes, my liege.
How?
Kill the Mind Flayer and the Cambion commander.
If you also kill the 2 devils that show up as backup you'll be close to hitting level 3 by the time you get off the nautiloid. Head to the Jergal temple and you'll hit level 3 before even starting the fight at the gates of the grove.
Then if you do enough content you can easily hit level 5 before the gith patrol or the underdark.
DnD 5e is fairly easy to get into and it's really really difficult to truly frick up your character unless you multiclass with no idea what you're doing.
Many such cases.
is this an overwhelming game or can anyone jump in and relatively quickly get the hang of it?
Most people should be able to jump in. Unironically I think Ganker on average is incredibly stupid and might struggle. Just depends on whether you're literate or a homosexual moron.
the game is very simplistic at lower levels and the tutorial is quite good. stats could be confusing at first if you dont read.
God I can't fricking wait. It's so close and so far.
Ye, pretty pleased to see they pushed forward to Aug 3 instead of end of Aug because of Starfield even though Im 100% sure Starfield is gonna get delayed. Kinda worried how the entire game would be because Act 1 got changed a lot due to community suggestion, wonder if the following acts can stick it as well.
>even though Im 100% sure Starfield is gonna get delayed
is this the new cope?
cope of what, you think starfield isn't gonna get delayed. Then again its bethesda so they probably will just ship it out with bugs
will probably as a dwarfchad as I always do when I can. fighter, paladin or barbarian? and does the heavy armour and especially the helms look decent?
Dwarf monk open hand
>monk
aren't they shit?
Larian is making a bunch of homebrew changes to the monk, so they might not be. we will know more friday.
Barbarian's don't like heavy armour, impedes rage
I know. just if I went fighter i'd be pissed if all the heavy armour looked like shit. would prefer to be half naked barb in that case

Considering the game only goes up to level 12 I'm honestly not too worried about going full-on build autism.
Yeah if they just dumped all the relevant hex shit into blade pact that would solve a lot of issues given you'd now need 3 warlock min to abuse it
All warlocks really need with pact is to make their charisma modifier used for attacks, right? Couldn't be that hard to mod in i imagine if it doesnt make it
monk will be funny cus every enemy is placed 100 meters away from each other. melee is a joke in this game.
>Jidf out in FULL FORCE shilling this forced goyslop
Made for Oath of Devotion white human male c*ck (post-marital) exclusively
made for enchantment wizard wiener (dubious consent)
i'm looking forward to seeing the sex animations with my little bro halfling and his littler son
I don't expect serious replies, but would an OoD pally even bother with a cleric of Shar for even one minute instead of smiting her on the spot
>but would an OoD pally even bother with a cleric of Shar for even one minute instead of smiting her on the spot
Absolutely. Now, Oath of Vengeance brings to mind...
pussy is pussy
But if you smite the cleric of the evil god on the spot you will not be respecting their religious freedoms and that's a big no no, stop being a bigot, what have evil gods ever done to you ?
Evil gods spread suffering... They hurt people.
Suffering is subjective, what's suffering for the followers of the good deities is bliss for the followers of the evil deities, stop being a bigot please.
What mod fixes her face like that?
i also cant find it, theres only a few shadowheart mods on nexus mods and none of them seem to indicate this change
That's her old face/ animations from early patch I think. It's better now, but the data mined hair mod is the main thing. Pretty sure it's in the top 10 on Nexus. It's a loose mod for manual install so just merge the Data folders, no mod manager install.
That's her default face. The thing that's modded about her in that screenshot is the hair.
From what? Monogamy? Binary genders? Traditional values?

It's been ages since I played the EA but did you get some kind of bonus or buff if you went along with the BDSM torture scene?
>Completing his dialogue for being hit 3 times grants you "Loviatar's Love". Which is a permanent buff "When below 30% health, you get a +2 to attacks and saving throws."
can I have a full party with costume characters in BG3? or am I stuck with pre-made characters?
Ye theres a way but you have to make a session
I'm not familiar with how baldur's gate plays. by session you mean a new game? a new save file?
a new game(?) I think. Not sure since i dont do it myself, you can google it. But basically you run several instances of the game and you just join a game you hosted.
yea
Lads, be honest with me, what are the chances of game going on sale any time before release? I want to convince my friend to buy it sooner (so we can get started 3 days earlier), but I also don't wanna miss out
The steam summer sale is literally fricking happening right now and it's not on sale. What do you think?
Its not officially launched so 0
i'll be buying it at 100% discount 2 days before "release"
>game going on sale any time before release?
It has never been on sale in all it's time on early access.
Haha no just give your friend some money doesn't he have a job?
people with jobs have different expenditures than a $60 video game
People with jobs can afford $60 for something they're spend more than 60 hours on. You should try getting one.
Being able to afford something doesn't mean there aren't any higher priorities. By your logic a disability welfare queen could also afford it.
Alright, thanks lads, seems like full price it is
Actually since we graduated uni over a decade ago he hasn't worked a day in his life. Just watches anime all day and plays WoW and FF14 all day
uhh bro it's on GOG
I bought it on GOG.
Does anyone know how bad latency will affect gameplay? I might want to play with Ganker but I am really far away from everyone here. Also, how does dialogue work with multiplayer in this?
Which companions did Kevin VanOrd write in Original Sin 1?
Can you mod out the black people?
probably
>early access
>full price
>"revived franchise" = revived to rape it and ruin it forever like every other franchise
So should I get Divinity 2 or Pathfinder?
Pathfinder is pretty meh imo
Pathfinder on a key shop
Depends on whether you prefer crunch of chill turn-based combat.
Whichever one lets me have a party of hot babes watching me make stupid decisions.
Pathfinder is a boring slop
(I'm assuming you mean Divinity Original Sin 2 and not Divinity 2: Ego Draconis)
DOS2 is a lot more accessible and easy to get into if you're not familiar with DnD (3.5e specifically). Also it's exclusively turn based.
Pathfinder has a lot of depth and width but all the build options can very easily overwhelm you. But it has a plethora of difficulty options and tweaks so you can make it as easy or as ballbusting hard as you want. You can switch between turn based and real time with pause freely.
Both, moron
Frick you too, homosexual.
Do you want a a ride or tools to make your own fun?
I like both Divinity:Original Sin 2 and Pathfinder:Kingmaker. If you have to buy only one i'd have to go with DOS2. It is pretty unique to skip. I recommend both.
Both are good games, can't go wrong here
You should pirate both and buy one you like more.
are there good romance options in this game? Just got out of the nautiloid with Shadowheart and Lae'zel, so far game's fun
You have Shadowheart and need more?
I don't trust her and her spikeball tbh, and I don't trust the green b***h either. But then again maybe I'll like Shadowheart once i get further in the game
wait for the full release to get the werewolf midget
I bet you my left nut she'll be mid looking
Hell yeah brother, now we're talken
First one looks like deviantart trash from someone who never played the game and only had a brief and misleading description to draw a character. Jaheira was never a redhead pure elf, elegant and refined. Second one looks lore accurate for an aging half-elf. Good job Larian.
Who the frick wants an ugly ass hag in the game
>You see she is an old ugly hag so its fine
Cringe argument for a fantasy game.
Every fantasy setting has its own rules and conditions. What do you expect every female character to look like a goddess?
>What do you expect every female character to look like a goddess?
half of them not looking like dogs would be a nice compromise
a lot of the girls in act 1 are cute
only saw shadowheart (if you mod her boy hair), evil b***h druid, and some bard girl
The Evil Cult merchant chick is Cute, the thiefling who wants a cat is cute, most of the half -elf npcs are cute since their models are usually good
>What do you expect every female character to look like a goddess?
That is a good start
BG3 is set 100 years after BG2. Half-elves age faster than elves. You lost, troony.
>THIS WOMAN AT THE END OF HER LIFESPAN LOOKS OLD
lol no shit moron
If I were to play homosexual's advocate, Jaheira should be a pretty damn high level druid at this point in time and have access to youth-restoring magic or at least almost not age at all. But in canon she's still a mid tier druid after a century, try to make some sense out of that.
Does her original VA just fricking hate videogames or why was she never seen again after BG2?
I don't know it seems Heidi Shannon practically fell off the face of the Earth after BG2. Beamdog even tried to contact her to reprise her role in Siege of Dragonspear to no avail. Hopefully she simply just retired from acting.
Wait how long are half-elf lifespans? What babies will come out of a Shadowheart x Human Male combo? Half-elves? Humans?
180 years
and they come out as perfect half-elves, the world of FR doesn't concern itself with realistic admixture and 1/16th elves who totally feel connected with their elven ancestry even though they've never been to elven lands and are just annoying posers who can't shut up
>Shadowcute will outlive my Human
Why oh why
>Fashionable and good-looking armor in the EA have 13 AC
Why are belgians like this?
The battlefield is not a costume contest, aestheticsgay
Spoken like a true gigayyankee.
Did they actually bother to finish the other half of the game this time?
FRICK. I wanna do another run but release is so near and the start is always such a slog
Just hold out until July 31st at least. By then you should be upgraded to the deluxe edition if you got it during early access. Which enables you to play all of act 1, even areas that have yet to be accessible in addition to all of the features of the 1.0. Plus, all of your progress made from then on will be transferable.
>By then you should be upgraded to the deluxe edition if you got it during early access
Free upgrade? nice nice, so you can actually take the elevator. but idk, wont the progress wipe when full game launches anyway
No, saves made during that period will actually transfer over so you can continue to act 2 on the 3rd.
Yeah, didnt read the last bit you wrote. dang pretty excited then.
>Originally that's how it was but they added the Grymforge section in a patch
Yeah, didn't even know it was a thing since i stopped playing and only came back when Paladin was dropped. was surprised they added a new section, was pretty neat but the Grymforge section is pretty fast. I hate how its the only place to get a decent heavy armor atm, but its already the finish line for the EA
>was hoping for at least 5.
Same, I was thinking that it would be 7 much like the original Baldur's Gate. Perhaps that would've taken too long in terms of development? Hopefully with the three act structure there is. That all of the content is balanced between them, providing a rich experience throughout the campaign.
>was surprised Act 1 is really long, cause when i first got it during launch, I thought act 1 was up until you get to the boat
Originally that's how it was but they added the Grymforge section in a patch. Surprised a lot of people.
>a lot of dialogue is so easily miss because I don't long rest enough, since the encounters aren't hard and a lot of it is tied to long resting after doing a specific action
I ran into the same issue since I tend to be super careful with how I use my resources in case I have to fight something bigger right after.
But I'll try to rest more and be more liberal with my spell and ability usage.
>so you can actually take the elevator.
Yes.
>wont the progress wipe when full game launches anyway
Not from what I heard at least, by then the progress made from then on should be transferable.
Mods of them when?
What is this?
Kino
Nylnyl
Nyl2
frick off futahomo
Pretty sure some of those are the same face morphs that are available in game so you can make a Tav that looks like that (kinda).
I love his animations but I wish he'd stop doing fellatio scenes. The dick sizes he goes with makes the scenes look like shit when the women's model ends up looking like a snake unhinging their jaw. It doesn't look good.
Does he even do fellatio scenes? Mostly it is just sucking the tip or side
Unironically better writing than most modern western cRPGs.
This but unironically. Someone got paid to write pic related
Based. This is the part of the game I'm most excited about.
>but idk, wont the progress wipe when full game launches anyway
Nvm Iam a speed reading homosexual, will do that. Thanks Anon
No problem.
Is Gyrmforge the last area or is there another set?
Last area of the early access, yes.
I'm gearing up for the Githyanki patrol then lol
That's still probably the hardest encounter in the game outside maybe the guardian/robot in the Grymforge since they're level 5
There should still be some other area like the other path besides the Underdark.
But I'll try to rest more and be more liberal with my spell and ability usage.
Good point. I'll try to rest after every... 2-3 encounters let's say. Provided I get enough food which I'm confident I will since I explore ever nook and cranny usually.
>There should still be some other area like the other path besides the Underdark.
From what I understand, the at least three other areas that are yet to be accessible. Including the Mountain Pass beyond the Gith patrol, the Shadowcursed Lands, and lastly Moonrise Towers.
Yeah thats pretty big.
game is pretty generous in camp supplies. i remember playing Kingmaker and totally getting fricked when i didn't bring enough camp shit
>game is pretty generous in camp supplies.
Food will be harder to come by in the full game.
In the early access they intentionally made it more abundant so people can rest often and experiment.
>Food will be harder to come by in the full game.
No.
>Food will be harder to come by in the full game.
>In the early access they intentionally made it more abundant so people can rest often and experiment.
Oh yeah, so that will make long resting harder. Then again Act 1 is long so maybe the conversations are more spaced out when it comes out in full. I've played Act 1 like 3~4 times so I already have a route in mind.
>you don't really have to sleep
That's why they made your character say "some rest would be nice" out loud.
that is true but you can usually finish a lot of shit before that prompts, they should just make the encounters harder, the only encounter that was hard pre level 5 implementation for me were the minotaurs and the bullette, post level 5 the Gith squad but only if you go underleveled. Level 3 spells make the encounter so easy.
>act 1 alone is a 20-30 hour affair
Either this game will be the thickest rpg ever, or the latter acts will be rushed as frick
It took me 60h the first time I played through it.
For me it's taking about 40 hours for that first play
From what little we've seen of the actual city of Baldur's Gate. I wonder how much content there will be in act 2 if I am to believe that is when we arrive there. They even mention that they packed all of the sections together somehow. Making it seamless, according to their description.
It's Larian. Act 1 is good. Act 2 is going to be mediocre. Act 3-4 will be garbage.
Yeah BG proper is going take like 20-40 hours alone if its as dense as it seems. Like towns in Larian games are tiny compared to that, and you could talk and do shit around Cyseal and Driftwood for a quite awhile
It's Larian. Act 1 is good. Act 2 is going to be great. Act 3-4 will be sex.
Can I be a prostitute in this game?
I want to seduce people.
Just replay ADWR if you want female smut in an RPG
just play a male characters and all the male npcs will try to frick you
Anon, they'll only express interest in your character should you make the first move. The same goes for the female characters.
"the first move" meaning talking to them at all
just kill every male character on sight if you want to protect your butthole
Quit backpedaling anon, just admit your mistake it's no big deal anyhow. You can still refuse their advances.
not him but the companions always hint on romance even if you use the dialogue that turns them down, it comes up again after a while. I wish when you reject someone its fricking permanent.
>I wish when you reject someone its fricking permanent.
The same could be said in reality, can it not?
My self insert:
Human White Male Oath of Devotion Paladin
My roleplay character:
Human Pale as the moon female Enchantment Wizard (evil)
What exactly is missing at the moment that will be included in full release? Is it worth waiting?
There's quite a bit.
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1086940?emclan=103582791464711919&emgid=3657534571513526776
there's only one act in the early access and it's not even complete so the full release has the entire rest of the game + more classes + more spells + more feats + more races
The whole goddamn game pretty much
The last 80% of the game.
Too bad.
Are Giths supposed to be seen as beautiful in game? there's a dialogue where you're mistaken as an elf in the grove by the one of the children because elves are supposedly beautiful
Real recognize real and freak recognize freak
Also what the frick is this shit, Lae'zel is miss Universe in her race apparently
I wanted to make a Gith Bard. Idk, the fricking contrast of it made the horny part of my brain smile. This was an alt run anyway. I think Laezel's model looks really nice.
>Game releases early in less than a month
>Just started a new WotR run since the DLC went on sale before the early release was announced
I have the time right?
Well how long is a WotR run that this becomes a concern with 4 weeks left? Sometimes I forget people here are not neets with 16 daily hours of free time like me
Over 100 hours if you're doing everything.
>the gameplay adapts the worst system of them all, 5e, and attempts to fix it by duct taping Divinity Original Sin 2 mechanics into it
>the plot is a jumbled, disjointed mess of unnecessary plot twists, because Larian can't write a story without beating you over the head with senseless spectacle and sex like you're an ADHD zoomer who can't read a line of text without keeling over and dying
>the characters are unlikeable, miserable c**ts that treat you like shit and hope that you'll stick around long enough to find out their tragic backstory
>but hey, at least all of them are bisexual and polyamorous, right?
A real savior of the genre, right there.
Yes.
>the characters are unlikeable, miserable c**ts that treat you like shit and hope that you'll stick around long enough to find out their tragic backstory
>but hey, at least all of them are bisexual and polyamorous, right?
Please tell me that playing lawful good in this game is going to let me slap all those b***hes around
>and attempts to fix it by duct taping Divinity Original Sin 2 mechanics into it
Give me an example.
Oh boy, new pasta to childishly reverse? let me have a try
>the gameplay adapts the best system of them all, 5e, and elevates it by cleverly weaving Divinity Original Sin 2 mechanics into it
>the plot is a thrilling, mysterious slow burner, where not a single piece is unnecessary, because Larian understands the narrative exercise of building-up for a grand finale and respects the player enough to not spoonfeed them the conclusion within the first minute
>the characters are all likeable, flawed co-protagonists who treat you as an equal and are more than the fantasy stereotypes they would be in lesser games
>and hey, they're also sexually interested into you, instead of denying you romance like Josh "gay fishlover" Sawyer
>Female Drow Half-Elf Wizard (Me)
>Shadowheart Cleric
>Karlach Barbarian
>Helia Bard / Lae'Zel Fighter
Hardcore.
Chaotic Neutral.
Fricking Shadowheart in all 3 holes and filling her with magical cum. (I will conjure wieners)
How true is the cuckshit stuff?
the first sex scene with lae'zel is her getting railed while you're laying under her and it zooms in on your character while liquids spill onto his/her face so yeah it's pretty bad
post video or I won't believe you.
>doomposting trannies are seething so hard they're making up cuck fanfics about BG3 characters
KEKAROOOOO
go to the bathroom and take a shit
At this point there's nothing they can do but cope. The game will release and succeed and they'll post pictures about it here and nobody will care. Sad existence. Then they'll move onto Starfield.
>make up a blatantly ridiculous story about the sex scene
>suddenly i'm a doom posting troony
calm down schizo
You're the one making up cuck fantasies. Better a schizo than a weirdo.
Shadowheart leaves camps to tend to the "needs" of the local goblins and half-orcs. You can follow her one night and listen to her "helping" them.
There is no cuckshit in BG3. If you don't romance a chick, she'll bang someone else cuz she's a loose alien. She won't do shit if you initiate the romance with her
You got weird fantasies, doomposting troony.
Wyll and Gale's "romances" probably feel forced as frick considering they have their demonic/divine exes living rent free in their head. At least the girls don't have such baggage
i hope mystra shows up during the final gale romance scene to scowl at you or something
Wrong!
She actually joins in for a 3some.
I don't see why she would considering she tossed Gale aside. I'd expect her to do it towards Gale if anybody at all.
The frog is a bawd some people count that as cuckshit
but I think the only way (You) can be cucked is if someone in multiplayer has a higher approval than you
I know how I'm trolling my friend now.
I haven't seen anyone talking about how great the sound design is for spells. Am I the only one who loves it?
Ye its pretty good
>*fireball whizzes past your head*
>cast eldritch blast once
ah yes, I will gladly use this for 60 hours
Same, love the pseudo latin shouts for spells too.
I still can't get over how boring is the soundtrack.
Does it use the same faux latin as BG2?
>INCERTUS PULCHER IMPERIO
>Eldritch Blast
TOLO
Yes it does
its DOLOR
?t=62
I'll only play it if I can romance the drow?
>saves CRPGs
Saves gaming honestly. Larian is putting other studios to shame with the scope of what they're doing, and they pushed the release date forward.
Too bad DnD has shit systems and combat will never be as good as Divinity.
Considering the level 12 cap, should new players just completely disregard multiclassing
Some not so new players should disregard it as well.
Yeah. uniclassing works perfectly fine and it's hard to frick up.
Another invocation and ASI.
Our last origin character will be a Halfling werewolf. Data miners thought she was an old lady but aren't sure anymore. Here's hoping we can frick the teddy bear.
What does Pala dip into
Warlock, Bard and Sorcerer
Shadowheart pussy
Frick. I chopped off Nere's head before I could cast Speak with Dead by accident. Does anyone have the dialogue?
they really need to improve the animations. why did they invest in that fancy mocap studio if they all look like shit for the cinematics.
Random conversations look on par with like how you would talk to random NPCs in Witcher 3, with it going back and forth between characters doing random hand/head motions. They've been tweaking the actual physical scenes alot like when the human/tiefling punches the other
>Divination wiz MC with big dick
>Shadow cutie as healer-offtank
>gay vamp
I need melee dd. i hate cuckshit so i kill the frog at the beginning. so who should be melee? tiefling lady?
cutie as healer-offtank
lol
>>gay vamp
lol
(...) frog
Okay you're trolling
frog cheek will stole her and say ''frick you, human with an ugly big nose, i fricked your girlfriend, lol'' and you can't do anything. the most sad this is that shadowbutt won't ask you to forgive her or have any concerns about your feeling.
Froggy is dead 🙁
>i hate cuckshit so i kill the frog at the beginning
Well there's no cuckshit in the game so you can stop killing the frog and just use her.
It’s her turn
Karlach/Minthara/Minsc or merc.
reminder that this thread is still up on larian's forum
good
Short races are not even that short. The frick was this guys' problem
....
>tiefling lady?
Yes.
Meant for
This is the last game that could possibly save this terrible year of disappointing game releases. Probably going to commit sudoku if it ends up being shit.

Is Ryoko Kui going to doodle the BG3 characters
I hope she does more D&D adjacent stuff once Meshi is over
Meshi is not over yet? I dropped it a couple years ago
Probably 2-3 chapters left
it doesnt have any likeable or memorable characters
She will, she even doodled the kingmaker characters and BG3 is on a way higher level of popularity.
>imagine having a nose
>Lae'zel looks like a Victoria's Secret Gith model
>any Gith I make look like an aborted fetus, male especially
>male especially
The chadiest faces are on the male elves.
Unironically true. I went my EA playthrough with a High Elf instead because he at least seemed to have some T in his blood.
>ywn have romantic forehead to forehead nose rubbing with the frog
It's over
it's cute when she calls your nose decadent
>imagine being green
this race would be so hot without the moronic fricking nose
what were they thinking?
Yes.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! JUST NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
the frog will become a bimbo and nothing will stop it
Now make her face shorter.
why is her nose so small
Kino.
Wow. Objectively a downgrade. What the frick brain?
it looks even worse now
just remove the nose completely 2bh
Best race for a male enchantment wizard that just rapes people with mind control spells?
Gnomes get +2 to int and rock gnomes get a +1 to con which means extra HP and the enemyes will ahe a harder time breaking your concentration if they do hit you.
Deep gnome gets a +1 to dex instead and has superior dark vision and advantage on stealth checks.
Reformat the question without using the letter A.
Guys, I'm asking for permission. Can I play this game as a complete newcomer?
Yes. I started with it too.
Yes.
do you want to be gatekept or something? why even ask
Only as white male fighter bottom for Gael
Don't you mean Gale?
They should be happy the most popular option is a human because it means people aren't minmaxing
>innocent joke about people making normal-looking characters
>3 years of seethe from schizos on Ganker
lol
I for one thank this schizo.
It's because of him that when the discord gays started their raids in earnest, there was already over 100 examples of this 'sperg getting his tendies in a twist, and they still haven't found a way to downplay it.
>never mentioned "white male" once
Why are people so mad about this? It's obviously just a joke.
Not just a joke, he's literally winking towards you with "see, women and minorities don't matter just like you thought" but morons gonna moron
yes
5th edition is made to be easy
Stop being a sissy. Be a real man, play the games you are interested in. People here keep shitting on me because i like and play Cyberpunk 2077 but i had listened to them i would've never played one of my favorite games of all time. Play what you like god dammit.
>People here keep shitting on me because i like and play Cyberpunk 2077 but i had listened to them i would've never played one of my favorite games of all time.
Imagine liking Cyberpunk lmao.
I fricking loved it. Cannot wait for PL.
Come release you'll be able to make your tulpafu a duergar.
>Come release you'll be able to make your tulpafu a duergar.
yeah but the dream waifu is always nicely dressed. i want to accidentally stumble onto a tunnel full of sweaty duergar miner women who are mad at me. the absolute can't fulfill that one for me
5e is moron proof. You don't need to worry about feat paths or anything like that.
You are literally the target audience.
playing the duergar area gave me a fetish for sweaty duergar women
>saves CRPGs
I hope they give a mechanical reason to use the companions like they did for Astarion
So that they are a side grade to mercenaries and not completely inferior
Gonna pound that shadowheart pussy every night
Is that supposed to be a dark elf?
Yes, it is.
They're supposed to look like death.
>everything is fine
Not long till the pannel from hell on Friday.
What are your hopes and expectations?
>expectations
Karlach
Monk & Dragonborn & Half-Orc & LVL 12 showcase
Helia reveal
>Hope
Non-origin companions reveal, we have no sorcerer nor monk companions
No Larian cringe
>Non-origin companions reveal, we have no sorcerer nor monk companions
I'm fine with that. We have 2 casters already, do we need a third? Monks have always been their own thing. They don't cover a useful role in a party of 4 either.
Well I'm not. The fact that we have 2 druids is moronic. Could have gone without the BG1 & BG2 wank. Need a monk and a sorcerer.
>we totally need to meet a kung fu extra special wuxia trained monk guy in China's Gate
Nah
>No Larian cringe
There is always some cringe
>split screen coop multiplayer
We Dark Alliance now.
I hope they show off controller support on PC not being terrible. I just want to move around with analog stick or WASD.
>hopes
karlach gameplay
I really like this design more than the one we got
I don't mind the scars per se but does she really need to go around showing them off?
https://panelfromhell.baldursgate3.game/
>hopes
character creation unshackled to allow more than 15 starting stat and dumping stats harder
Think Swen said it will be unlocked in the full release
>expectations
New class and races gameplay, showing off Karlach and Helia
>hopes
Helia is cute and romanceable, but I'm not holding my breath on it after what Bioware did to us
>expectations
they show off DB, half orcs, monks
some higher level spells and gameplay.
they reveal Helia.
swen is wearing plate armor and someone else is dressed like a monk
>hopes
they reveal some more companions (still surprised the numbers are so skewed in favor or origins)
cameos but then again it would be nice to stumble upon those yourself so I'm not sure what I want
they hint at the possibility of an expansion
Jaheira has now been a recruitable companion in not 1, not 2, but THREE (3) BG games and has barely leveled up since. How does that even make sense? Imagine another player getting a fricking 100 years headstart on you and you catch up after a month from level 1... Was she petrified as well or what?
Super special level eaters, please understand
10 months later, I was level 75, and some of them were still 60.
>expectations
Helia, showing off Monk, Dragonborn and Half-Orc.
>hopes
They announce a surprise JP translation so my favorite streamers can play it and know what's happening.
Is there a Scaled Fist in 5e system?
go back to Pathfinder, there will be no scaled fist monk dips here
A dragon monk yes. Does it work similar no. Pathfinder is a completely different company and its 1e at least focuses on munchkin builds for sweaties, D&D 5e focuses on getting your girlfriend to play.
No and level 11 is when you get 3 EB rays too
How are the waifus? Any shortstacks?
>there's an enhanced edition mod for BG1/2EE
>it also gets mod support
>but it forces you to go through Siege of Dragonspear
Siege of Dragonspear has pretty fun encounter design and quests tbh, the biggest problem with it is the moronic pozzed Beam*og writing full of trannies and gays, well, that and how overleveled it makes you for BG2.
At release it was also bugged up the ass to the point of being unplayable
I never played it on launch so I didn't know that. Didn't play any of EE until like a couple years ago, which is like hundreds of patches deep.
I know Larian is hardly squeaky clean on release quality, but to put it into perspective Beamdog made Bethesda look like paragons of quality control by comparison.
they already saved CRPGs a while ago
Between pathfinder and bg3, are we seeing a genuine crpg resurgence?
Genuine crpg resurgence has been a thing since 2015 and Underrail
>ugly women
>Black folk
>homosexuals
>trannies
>cuckshit
>marvel writing
no
But enough about your neurosis
But enough about BG2
2 major companies is not enough to call it a resurgence, but classic cRPGs are surely coming back into favor
I can't wait for Bioware to try going back to their old stomping grounds after their GoW ripoff flops, being late for the party and getting humiliated.
Post your adventuring party.
haha le coom
> That buldge on the elf in white
