Moving around the world feels better on a controller. You can just controller to move around and just talk to people, then inventory/combat just touch the keyboard and mouse and play that way.
We don't know yet. All evil women (Frog and Drow) are already plapable in Act 1 but SH only gives up a kiss. There's some subtle equivalence of sex with evilness if I'm reading too much into it.
The only explicit scene that you can see is with Minthara, all other scenes show a "cutscene pending" fade to black.

Forgot to add: Seldarine Drow are a lot more friendly to the other races. They typically worship Eilistraee, who is a chaotic good goddess, and try to live a more peaceful life.
So if you were to look for a more good-aligned drow waifu you're better off looking for a Seldarine Drow.

Anything that can frick with the enemy's action economy is good. Animal Companions, pets and summons (especially "free" ones) are very useful because not only can they attack and disrupt the enemy but they're also another target for your enemies to go after instead of your main party.

It was just the PHB, but that was "all" subclasses. It took over a year for SCAG to come out and most of those subclasses sucked, but that also became "all" subclasses. Flavor. Time Mages are one of my favorite archetypes and Wildemount added Chronurgy Wizard, which I also played. Tasha's also reworked Way of Mercy Monk, which I also played and enjoyed.

Even if they don't add time mage and I play a Monk, I really enjoy the idea of some of the later subclasses and wanted to use this game to try some of them like Way of the Astral Self. I used to play CRPGs back in the day (not BG itself though), but I couldn't get into D:OS games, even though I tried a few times. I just couldn't make myself care about the story. But I like the D&D settings, especially extraplanar adventures and aberrant monsters. And BG3 seems to have both. Hopefully the story doesn't require deep knowledge of the events of the first two games. I've heard they sort of brought back the Great Wheel cosmology in 5E too, after the disaster that was 4E. But mechanically 4E did some right things, compared to 3.5, which 5E hopefully retained.

That's what I was thinking of. It made me really mad how in 3.5E willpower saving throws were only Wis bonus and not Int. Also, how you needed to take an extra feat for Dex to affect the damage of "Dex weapons" and not just the hit chance. While Str just did both.

I'm pretty sure that's still true in 5e. There are INT saving throws but they happen almost never. Intellect devourers are the only thing I can think of that make you take INT saves.

Guaranteed it doesn't. Too much time (120 years IIRC) has passed between 2 and 3. Minsc is a meme and the only characters who could have survived the passage of time (Jaheira and Viconia) otherwise are going to be supporting characters at best.

Hexblade is gay. It should have never existed. It makes no sense. Warlock subclasses are the patron they've made a pact with, but Hexblade just says, "Pick anything, it doesn't matter, but here's a cool weapon!" Larian should never add Hexblade and just make Pact of the Blade better.

Forgot to add: Seldarine Drow are a lot more friendly to the other races. They typically worship Eilistraee, who is a chaotic good goddess, and try to live a more peaceful life.
So if you were to look for a more good-aligned drow waifu you're better off looking for a Seldarine Drow.

It's their own fault for railroading the players into the grove bullshit problems and then when you start solving said problems because it might be your only chance to find a healer before you go full takoyaki dropping the "do you want to attack the grove instead for absolutely no reason whatsoever" choice without any incentive to us.
Yeah the only reason to play through the evil route is because you're metagaming, even as an evil character it makes no sense to side with the Goblins and the Drow over Halsin when Halsin is 100% your best shot at figuring out a cure.
You don't even find out that the cure has to be out there in that hidden tower if you don't talk to Halsin. Minthara just tells you to go there because reasons and that's it. Whatever part of the evil route is in the early access can't even be called a draft and Larian expect people to give feedback on this non-existent crap.
If you'll try to rationalize it you will only come to conclusion that they're all brainwashed and goblins are simply being goblins with their negative INT, no more than that.

Anything that can frick with the enemy's action economy is good. Animal Companions, pets and summons (especially "free" ones) are very useful because not only can they attack and disrupt the enemy but they're also another target for your enemies to go after instead of your main party.

My point wasn't that Larian won't ever catch up, it was that there's no special meaning behind the term "all" subclasses. When the game first came out, people played it. It was just the PHB, but that was "all" subclasses. It took over a year for SCAG to come out and most of those subclasses sucked, but that also became "all" subclasses. There's nothing special about the most recent subclasses, it's not like they elevate 5e into a different system or something.

Flavor. Time Mages are one of my favorite archetypes and Wildemount added Chronurgy Wizard, which I also played. Tasha's also reworked Way of Mercy Monk, which I also played and enjoyed.

I used to play CRPGs back in the day (not BG itself though), but I couldn't get into D:OS games, even though I tried a few times. I just couldn't make myself care about the story. But I like the D&D settings, especially extraplanar adventures and aberrant monsters. And BG3 seems to have both. Hopefully the story doesn't require deep knowledge of the events of the first two games. I've heard they sort of brought back the Great Wheel cosmology in 5E too, after the disaster that was 4E. But mechanically 4E did some right things, compared to 3.5, which 5E hopefully retained.

I'm pretty sure that's still true in 5e. There are INT saving throws but they happen almost never. Intellect devourers are the only thing I can think of that make you take INT saves.

I really want to know why Larian wastes their time writing these prebuilt characters. They're all completely intolerable and unlikable, OS2 had ones that were at least inoffensive but I don't play these kinds of games to play a character someone else made. I think most of the characterization, voice acting, animation, special content, etc. is wasted on most of these origins as well (who gives a shit about Wyll?) BUT on principle alone, I could justify their existence because they make the world feel more alive than if it's just you and a bunch of cardboard cutout mute mercenaries.
