This is true, hard is alright but I do think they'd be better off delaying things like the kiss a bit longer and nudging players more towards long rests because that's what you're supposed to be doing to give the aspect of time and companion encounters/events with camp resources being so common but a lot don't use it anywhere near as much.
I think part of it is you gain approval way to quickly, like you go from strangers to best friends just by being a decent person in the grove

the gameplay is actually fun. i detest the dialogue, and romance routes in this, but the prospect of mod tools releasing and either fans touching up the dialogue, and romance routes or just full on creating fan made campaigns like there are for Neverwinter would be great. The campaign in BG3 is hot dogshit, but the gameplay is great.
With the basic game design of this, I don't think I could stomach playing through it a second time.

Sorry that BG3's shit dialogue, and romance routes probably left a sour taste in your mouth. If you ever get a chance to play another turn based game give FF Tactics a try. It has an excellent story, and if you're playing on a portable device, or phone it's pretty chill, and relaxing.

As for Bioware RPGs I never got into Dragon Age, only KOTOR and ME games.
Mass Effect series was probably the worst offender of playersexual until this game and Mass Effect STILL handles romance and relationships with more maturity and experience than Larians' writers. Mass Effects' problem is that just about every character is open to a relationship with the player, but the relationships themselves still make sense, and still have proper pacing and decisions.
I just really cannot encapsulate in mere written words and descriptions how bad the romance in BG3 is. It's something you practically need to experience first hand to understand.

Because they are different classes that do different things non-DnD-friend. Fighters are the best damage dealers in the game, they have above average health, and little to no utility (unless you RP of course, but that stands for every class/player). The Berserker is a Barbarian with better-than-average damage and still has the superior damage mitigation that the class is known for.
They are different things, you should not be comparing them. It should also be noted that in 5E, the Berserker is one of the worst subclasses for Barb, thankfully it is not as bad in BG3.

Berserker gets advantage on every attack and can use their bonus action for a free throw or extra attack.
Fighter gets to add an extra d8 to all their attacks every short rest and can once per long rest gain an extra action.
Every class can get the ability to get an extra hit on crit or kill if they spec for two handed weapons.
All martials will get an extra attack around level 5
Paladins can get advantage against undead, fiends, and fey. Vengeance Paladins have a oneshot advantage against anybody for 10 rounds. Paladins have the strongest single target attacks with Smite.
Warlocks can have the best AC, ranged shoves, most HP, dmg when hit, spells on short rest, decent hit and damage with blade pact, two attacks with blade pact, and more but still won't match the damage of a true martial.
I think they all have their pros and cons.

Fighters can be ranged, melee, strength, dex, be a polearm react abuser, be a tank, wear any armor, get a million feats.
Barbs are 'tanks' in the traditional sense. They exist to stand in front of the enemies, never die and eat actions otherwise they will just kill you in melee. Larian's mistake was probably making the frog a GWF, it make her seem too similar to the barb.

Warlocks are on a case-by-case basis since not all of their patrons are focused on them, like GOO usually not giving a shit, but Paladins absolutely need some sort of prologue compared to other classes to reinforce just how important their Oath is. Like, I became an oath breaker for throwing a rock at the bear druid but I don't even know who the frick my god is. It has zero impact for me. Same for the warlock, my patron never fricking interacts with me or anything meanwhile Wyll has a dommy mommy that shows up and gives him quests. It's bullshit

Everything past Act 1 feels tacked on and rushed. It's just how early access games tend to go. The part they sold in EA was act 1 and it's the most polished. The parts they offered up afterwards is a shadow of the EA release content.
You simply cannot expect to see any further content in early access games past what the initial early access content is like. It's always like this, it's been like this with every EA game I've ever played. Early access means what you see is what you get and anything past that is tacked on and barely tested, playable, or interesting.
