It has impressive cinematics, it's technically a good game with good graphics. The turn based combat is unnecessarily complex and gets tedious. Story and characters are woke in the worst sense of the word, as bizarre as shallow, no depth, no authentic feel, generic as if produced by AI.

I mean, in the actual game their racials are kind of dogshit, they're only slightly more dogshit here because I don't think you get the damage resistance corresponding to your typing. But, yeah, I do feel like there's way too few reflections on it unless you bring it up via specific Dragonborn dialogue options. Thinking about it, I guess Laselk's interest wasn't as sudden as post saving private Halsin. I do remember a time we discussed the whole Githyanki dragonriders and I got the option to ask "What are dragons to your people" and she said they were treated with respect and as gifts and lived lavishly in aeries. Then said something along the lines of asking if I were jealous and wanted to be kept as a prized gift too. Oh, before that she did insult me once for my looks which is presumably racial since she brought up my 'small scales'.

There are plenty of race specific shit. Darkvision, Fey Ancestry, tons of proficiencies which help with builds, built in spells like misty step or darkness, Gnome Cunning etc. >nooo my half-elf with 4 stats isn't minmaxd anymore

Also, could be argued they ditched size modifier stuff because of both simplifying things and more from a gameplay standpoint. That shit turned me off hard from wanting to play anything not medium or larger in 3.5 if I wasn't just spamming spells.

The dice do feel really weird sometimes. Yesterday I missed a bunch of of 75% hits in a row then made a bunch of sub 40%. Today we went and fought those mud monsters in the swamp and there was a single enemy left with 1 health and we probably missed it with almost 3 whole turns.

Critical Miss is a 1 roll, which in BG3 always misses regardless of extra proficiency or additions
