I can tell you right now there aren't many games that are as easy or fun to 100% as Banjo Kazooie

just do the engine room first

You can totally skip 6 puzzle pieces and still fight the final boss. 2 if you want the health upgrade. Which is fine with me, that engine room one is the only hard challenge in this game.

Banjo Kazooie is actually pretty damn easy to 100%. Everything is self contained and there is little backtracking.

Except for Snow Peak and Egypt level. Depending on which level you enter first, there's back tracking

Both require one from the other, but you should do the intended order of Freezezy first. Otherwise you'll need to get all the notes when you revist Gobi.

I bought the fricking guide which didn't give you the answers to Gruntilda's quiz. Motherfricker I was not going to keep a notebook of every horrible rhyme she gives in the entire game. Not that it mattered because I never got enough notes for the last door. Also I wasted a lock of time fricking with that ice key that was bullshit.

      Anonymous

the guide didnt give you the Grunty answers because they're randomly generated with each new save file out of a list of 70(?) possible combinations.

No. My argument is that JonTron told zoomers to like it. Next time learn to read.

Nah, zoomie, it's not. Believe it or not, there once was a time when there was no such thing as a YouTuber or influencer of any kind. The very internet itself was pretty basic and you learned about games mostly from magazines and word of mouth. I know your generation has no personality because all you do is watch other people all day but back then you just played every single game in existence basically blind. The only other alternative was watching a friend play irl. We developed our own opinions and tastes. I liked BK because it was fun as frick, that was it. Nobody told me to, I didn't watch anyone play it, I didn't see any aggregated review scores, it wasnt popular on YouTube or twitch, nothing. I just played the game and liked it. I know, I sound literally insane to you, but it really was like that.

I always see people complain about a couple of jiggies in Tooie, but you can skip a lot and still fight the final boss.

  17. 3 months ago
    Anonymous

Because that isn't true. You want a target that isn't about spreading readily disprovable misinformation, try Rayman 1 or Super Princess Peach. Those actually call for 100% completion.

How many levels do you need to 100% to beat the game?

        Anonymous

Both of those games? You have to collect every Toad/Electoon to access the final boss, the game will actually brickwall you if you don't. Zero wiggle room. Well, it's kind of not true for SPP since there's a set of postgame stages, but you do have to clear out the main portion of the game to even get to those so in practice it holds water.

I went and got 100% later, if i had the double health the final boss would have been much easier.

I think the more irritating part is the fact you need to do some bullshit trivia board game. Legit looked up a speedrunning skip for it. Frick that crap

I actually find it very fun, i wish the layout was randomized so the optimal path wasn't the same every playthrough

It's a unique idea alright but I just found it very tedious. Funnily enough I think Tooie is the superior game yet the actual backtracking for the jiggies is also very tedious. Weird.

At least B&K are the protagonists of their series. Geno is just a one off Mario character who isn't even owned by Nintendo. Both are shit, but I'd rather have shit that makes some sense.

Tried playing Banjo on NSO, couldn't quite get into it at the time. Might give it another go. 3D platformers are such a niche that I feel it easy to screw up, but so many swear by these there has to be something, right?
