If real, what should they change and improve?
It's really fricking goddamn hard to think of world ideas for a Threeie they haven't used up already. The first 2 games got by by using the most trope-y video game biome types imaginable. There's like nothing left they haven't done, all I can think of is
>Big City, New York style but with some kind of Banjo-Kazooie twist that makes it not a generic metropolis and actually fits their oddball universe
>Wild west cowboy world
>Outer space sci-fi world
>World made of food/candy
I got nothin else honestly....I guess they haven't done something African but that's stuff best left for DK, and an Asian-based world feels super unfitting for the Kazooie universe.
Australia, maybe? Perhaps an ice cream factory.
You know, I don't recall them having done a mad science lab world.
Well, one of the levels in the original game was a sewer with a metal shark. No reason they have to be perfectly generic tropes.
Just going off Britishy cartoon tropes, you could have farmyard, a quaint little country village, an old timey school house, some kind of castle or gothic cathedral, maybe a kind of underground system of warrens referencing The Wombles or Hobbits.
A Mardi Gras themed stage?
Nuts n bolts actually did a world kinda i wanted with Threeie, with Logbox stage. I wanted essentially like grunty industries, but maybe vaguely cyberpunk or just all electronics environment and outside of a goofy cyborg Banjo transformation, i felt that level kinda matched the tone i had in mind.
I wonder if early 2000s Nintendo would have been ok (in a non selling rare/2nd party ip universe) with Threeie having more connections with the Mario/DK settings, especially if DK Pilot happened
I could see Rare doing like a remake of a Mario 64 world, showing the visual upgrade of the Cube while also taking the piss out of the similarities between 64 and Banjo. Maybe even being a "Banjo Odyssey" world trotting to whatever other Nintendo ip worlds/settings they would legally be allowed to. A DK jungle world seems like it would fit well with kongs as npcs.
I wonder how people would feel if Banjo went meta, and started playing up other Rare properties, like having a cyberpunk stage as a play-up of Perfect Dark.
Maybe that stuff's better left to fan mods. I don't know.
bring back 100 individual notes. tooie levels felt empty thanks to bundling notes to a total of 17 per level.
interconnected worlds was creative but the amount of backtracking in tooie is a bit off-putting imo.
do people really want more banjo? The first two games are boring.
Well, not really. The correct time was in like 2002, and on the Gamecube, but it's fun to think about.
I think by Tooie and DK64 Rare's take on the genre had no future and lots of people felt this way.
I don't see why. There was a lot of good in those games. The correct thing to do would be to take stock of what worked and what didn't, and then move forward. In another timeline, Rare could be making Banjo games to rival Mario Odyssey.
The alternative is we end up where we are where Rare seem enthused about making anything but platformers, and are so only making games that no one really wants out of Rare.
>I don't see why.
I just told you, declining interest in rare's take on the genre and weaker reception
Just make a good game. Mario platformers always sold, and even Sonic always sold, despite some pretty poor games. What else are they going to do? Make Grabbed by the Ghoulies?
I'm glad they made grabbed by the ghoulies
>The first two games are boring.
Name a game you like, anon?
ape escape
Only 4 types of ammunition for only one gun does not an FPS make.
I wish they'd continued with this art style instead of the blocky shit
Pretty sure this is how Nuts and Bolts started off. It was a remake of Banjo Kazooie with updated graphics, a la Conker Live and Reloaded. But the devs got bored and started adding twists to the stages, and at some point turned it into a shitty fricking car building game
>not anniversooie
We already got a threeie though
It's good. Great even, albeit flawed. But that's not threeie tho you meme clown
Oh you wanted a rehash instead? Here you go
NOT RETRO those games were horrible lazy soulless cash grabs.
It was fun but its not a real BK game
