It's fully released as a complete game, with a couple DLCs too. It's even out on the switch.

I did describe it: it's A GOOD GAME.
It's a classic roguelike RPG: no permanent upgrades/unlocks, and LVL/stat system etc.
Didn't feel the need to describe the game, you can tell by the first 5 seconds of the steam trailer or whatever. Just pirate it if you're not instantly sold.

It's not about the RNG, it's about getting better.
This is one of those games where if you're playing well you can consistently win. You never ever feel like you just got fricked by RNG.
The RNG is just for the fun and replayability, especially with so many class/race combinations you will want to play it again and again.
Best tip is to take your time, appraise everything, manage your inventory/weight, sneak up and take on each enemy at a time.
Play as a class that has good starting gear like cleric, monk, warrior until you feel comfortable with the early game.
Undead are weak to maces, skeletons take half damage from ranged

Why not just play DCSS? Way better. Don't get me wrong, I played Barony for a bit thinking it'd be cool, but it doesn't really work as well as DCSS.
