so why are the players that are better than you such as me, consistently able to get to the end of the game on the hardest difficulties while playing on ironman?
>make everything correct >enemy hits 5% hit anyway
and what about when you hit a 5%? do you reload because you got lucky? i beg to god that you're trolling because you continuously fail to understand the basic concept that the hit percentages apply to you AND THE AI.
and it's literally a tooltip in the loading screen because you troglodytes have to be handheld >if your plan can fail with 1 mistake, it wasn't a very good plan
>there is no strategy in understanding all the risks and rewards in any given situation and doing your best with the resources at hand to minimize one and maximize the other, while accounting for unexpected and randomly changing variables
Don't tell that to literally every general and professional athlete of all time
which part of your hyperbolic statement does not apply to the AI? why does the AI only get lucky while you only get unlucky? really apply yourself here and try to use the part of your body that is responsible for 25% of its entire energy expenditure
there are copious amounts of youtube tutorials from the best players CONSISTENTLY destroying the game even after getting insanely unlucky. these people just do not have the forethought or cognitive horsepower required for strategy
>CONSISTENTLY destroying the game even after getting insanely unlucky
game scales enemy parties with number of troops you have. You can't really lose in the game because you can just recover

yep also true, shitters don't strategize and alt-f4 when the AI gets lucky at the same rate as they do without realizing the devs clearly provide many in-game mechanics to keep you going after suffering losses. jesus christ it's even spelled out in the fricking loading screen tool tips. >you WILL suffer losses

nothing wrong with suffering losses, but when its so stupidly rare to find a recruit with decent perks and stars spread, it gets annoying. like all im asking for is like 2 stars in melee defense and offense most of the time. not to mention the fact that leveling up stats is also RNG based

moron can't read the post you're quoting
people have beaten the hardest locations in the game with teams of all beggars, you're just bad
>AI somehow always keeps pulling off those 5% chance to hit everytime
this is categorically untrue and makes no sense, you can go look at the game logic in the squirrel scripting files, it's not giving the AI hidden bonuses to hit. it's cognitive bias where you're getting all the miracle 5%s, this is not a difficult concept to grasp and you just don't want to invest the time into learning the game and strategies
I have almost 400 hours and I can absolutely say there are no strategies, your just perpetually handicapped. The roster limit being 12, shit roll chances, gear being absurdly expensive, the world difficulty being next to impossible for rebuilding if you lose brothers, moronic ambushes that scramble your entire lines, random events that are mostly at your disadvantage. Everything about this game is just no fun and the hilariously low achievment unlock percentage attests to this.

you're handicapped by things like the roster limit because people with IQs above the average human life expectancy will always win vs AI in terms of strategy given enough practice >shit roll chances
please use your brain, these chances apply to the AI and the player, there is no unique math functions only applied to player hits >world difficulty being next to impossible for rebuilding if you lose brothers
guess you're not reading the thread because another anon already mentioned that much of the difficulty state scales to your party strength >random events that are mostly at your disadvantage
did you tally up the total positive vs total negative events and come to that conclusion or is it another case of your selective bias because you're 400 hours in and still bad at the game? >no fun
then why do you have the aforementioned 400 hours >low achievement unlock percentage
the game is difficult, this isn't news
every single argument you have can also be rebuked by the fact that the best players of this game consistently win at it and they do have strategies they employ to achieve this

completely agree, and the crybaby excusing on Ganker is an everyday example of why we don't get games like BB often.
Multiplayer games actually require skill unlike random number rolls thoughever.

they never have a rebuttal for this point, instead they'll just tell you to kys.
people have broken the encryption on the game's scripting files leading to modding and modders observing the code and finding there are no selective hit % biases against the player, they have no argument.

RNG is important. Get good and make better decisions. Tactics games with no RNG feel more like puzzle games. It's fine, but different. And not every game needs to be the same.
if you watch turbo autists play this game you will know that the game has depth and ways to mitigate shit RNG
but also the game has flaws, huge baits and noob traps
definitely not for everyone because has that oldschool tryhard trial and error philosophy typical of slav/eurojank studio games
>but also the game has flaws, huge baits and noob traps >definitely not for everyone because has that oldschool tryhard trial and error philosophy typical of slav/eurojank studio games
exactly, the game was purposefully designed with noob traps in the same way that an unexperienced mercenary captain in a low-fantasy world would lead his men to the slaughter against an unknown enemy he's never fought against before. it's even written into the game's lore which is pretty fun.
>why isn't there a mod that fixes it?
it's called quickload, already in the game
>have to constantly reload autosave to negate shitty roles
Kind of a bad design innit?
do you reload when the AI has shitty "roles" against you? or are you bad at strategy and optimization?
There's literally no strategy involved when you miss important attacks/disarms/shots.
skill issue?
What skill? Get lucky numbers? Why do you autistic morons keep parroting this empty phrase?

That's a nice nine-star brother you have, shame if something happend to him behind those seven shield walls
I kinda want a game where you have to lead a band of incompetent apus in an adventure.
Isn't there portrait/character mods for the game?
The sound design is godlike in this game. Never thought I’d get PTSD from the sound of a bolt whooshing and the cranking of a crossbow
It's satisfying killing Orcs and gobbos, their death rattle especially orcs sounds like a raging animal struggling to breath as it finally chokes on it's blood it's great.

Fighting axe for some reason. It's just so cool even though it's borderline useless
