Battlebit

I want to play chill shooter and this interests me. Is the game fun? How destructible are the maps? I heard it has a root kit that steals all your info. Is this true or shitposting? Thanks.

Multiplayer unlock systems should be training wheels, not gated content behind actually hundreds of hours of effort.

Some guns are locked behind hundreds of hours of gametime and then if you want attachments for them you have to grind that too

A gun unlocks every 5 levels but since not all classes can use every weapon type there some gaps in the AR category. So, you only have three ARs to use from level 15 to 50. I've hit level 50 at about the 40 hour mark. I'm sure someone could really try to grind it out faster by focusing on rezzing on the frontline and c4ing abandoned enemy vehicles.

        Anonymous

there is a large gap at the start before you start regularly unlocking new weapons i feel like level 50 is where you have to get before you start regularly getting new ones

Some guns are locked behind hundreds of hours of gametime and then if you want attachments for them you have to grind that too

attachments arent hard to get and come pretty quickly once you get rolling especially for guns you like and use a lot

          Anonymous

Having to grind attachments separately makes experimenting feel like shit
You unlock a new gun and it doesn't even feel worth trying it out because you need to get 100 kills with it first to even fully deck it out
That's why everyone is using m14, because they already have all the attachments for it since it's the first gun

contrary to what it's fugly Roblox graphic style might lead you to believe, this is not a "chill shooter". It's literally just Squad's milsim autism with more destruction.

  4. 11 months ago
    Anonymous

Pretty destructible but not to the point where the entire map becomes flattened. Think the only thing that can really cause damage to buildings are vehicles and even then it won't completely topple it down, so it's a good balance.
It's an extremely chill game. I just hop into a 125 v 125 server for half an hour and it's fun to just run around and shoot shit. The proximity chat makes it pretty funny since you have various goobers talking shit or the lone gay occasionally mic spamming something.
I think the anit cheat or mic moderating is a bit sus, but I'd look into it more if it worries you. I personally need to as well if the rumors are true.
Still, for $15 I'm getting my money's worth but it does seem like a FOMO kind of game that'll lose players by next month. So I'd jump in now for some fun before that happens.
The unlock system is kinda ass tbh. Level 20 for a LMG? lmao frick off. Plus the time to kill might be a bit too low.

Yes, the FACEIT, a kernel level rootkit, its already embedded in the game the devs are also recording and storing voip in third party servers.

Wrong, FACEIT is in the game files, just not active.

FACEIT collects everything in your computer, even takes screenshots of your desktop, and its active all the time, as stated by the FACEIT privacy policy.

A kernel level anticheat is the bare minimum for pc shooters these days, anything else will literally be infested by cheaters, is one or the other, most players dont give a shit about someone logging their porn folder and prefer a game without cheaters

If you opt in to the voip calls, BattleBit privacy policy states that they will record the last 40 seconds every voip call, assign your user name and email to the said voip, and share it with third party companies around the world, they also stated they are never going to delete the voip calls, because they will store indefinitely.

But, why would small indie company, with 3 employees would invest time and money on a surveillance for a small multiplayer shooter, its their first game, they don't have a publisher ?
99% chance the devs are selling these voip calls to AI companies, if you sing, or spam music, or there is music in the background, you are going to get banned, temporarily, but still banned, music makes dataset worthless for data brokers, copyrighted content from music companies is a nono for AI companies.

It's okay, everyone moves too fast even for a BF-esque game. For modern Battlefield games Bad Company 2 was the pinnacle of player movement and momemtum and they really should have tried to emulate that.

Also the friendly pips are super fricking annoying. Be prepare to have about 100 little blue chevrons on your screen at ALL TIMES because they haven't figured out how to properly distinguish the two factions yet.
