you can already play OG BF1 & 2 just fine on PC, why would anyone want to buy this lazy cash grab?

Hopefully they'll also update the engine so it won't switch between resolutions and bigger UI would be better too.

Yeah, its cool that they added in cut content from the original games but those can be modded in. It would be 1000x worth it if it was a real collection and ported the PSP games.

The PSP games were made by rebellion (sniper elite series) so there might be some issues between disney/LucasArts and them.

I only ever played it on PSP, was there a major difference between the console and PSP releases?

Well BF had 2 spin off games called Elite and Renegade Squadron that had features that the original BF 1 & 2 didnt have. It had like customizable troops in one game and land to space combat in the other. These were features that were planned to be in BF3 but we all know what happened there.

Gotcha, I never did try those spinoff games but I agree a collection with those would have been nice.

The PSP games with modern controls and resolutions would be kino of the highest order. I believe the final PSP game actually had ground to space combat where you could fly straight up to take on the Star Destroyer in orbit at any time. THE PSP GAME HAD THIS.

honestly i feel like half of the reason you'd buy this is to experience the game with a lively playerbase for five seconds

    I don't get it, what's new here?

There are new levels and modes
      >BF1 now has Jabba’s Palace
      >BF2 now has Cloud City, Rhen Var, and “Yavin 4 Arena”
      >BF2 has new characters (Asa Ventress & Kit Fisto)
      >BF2 has Hero Assault on every level (used to be confined to Mos Eisley)

Those are some really cool upgrades to Battlefront 2. Also maybe it’s just me, but the graphics look a lot better. Even if you have the originals on Steam, this is definitely worth getting (even just for the cross play multiplayer)

All in one "NEW" package that'll seduce newbies into trying it out. I kind of hope it becomes a FOTM game honestly, would be nice to have these games become popular again.

          A) not everyone plays on PC. Some of us prefer consoles to gaming, and we can't mod on that
          B) some PC players probably don't know or care to mod, want something that "just werx"

Anyone shitting on this needs to reassure me that the game's best moments don't require online play so any existing version is good enough and there was no need for a remaster.

    >Coming March 14 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for $35.01, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection features restored online play for up to 64 players, expansions to Hero Assault mode, and all previously released bonus content for both titles. Steam users will also enjoy Steam Deck support.
There's literally nothing about it being "upgraded", you're literally paying $35 for the exact same game you bought back in 2005 (and some already bought again on steam), so you're now going to pay a third time for the exact same game again kek'd.. it's impressive how fricking stupid boomers are

didn't the steam versions already get updates to fix server issues and such? is there any point in buying the new versions beyond a few extra maps?
