sekiro's english VA is generally better, but specifically isshin's fight is quite a downgrade

Yeah isshins jap VA is fricking raw hype compared to the English. But the English va for Gyoubu is way better than Jap, especially gyoubus introduction

Sekiro’s English dub is pretty decent. I do especially like ENG Owl, he sounds way more scummy than JPN owl. But overall Japanese is better, it takes place in a real time period of Japanese history, imagining people in that situation not speaking Japanese is just weird. Plus when you boot up game there’s a message telling you outright “Japanese audio is the intended experience”.
But yeah ENG Gyobu is fantastic. I won’t argue with that. And Owl, like I said.

Thought that was weird too. I was all set to play it in japanese until I heard it online in english and I switched instantly and never looked back. Regret not hearing gyoubu scream his name at me until way later.
