      That's accurate.
The proof is on all that celebrity dick-sucking he is doing as of late and the result that is the walking simulator-movie he calls a "game".

Go back to that Hollywood Starbucks alleyway to suck more celebrity dicks, Kojima.

It's simple, celebrities don't play console videogames, they play phone games like candy crush. So they assume this guy is like the god of videogames, it's just that they don't get it.

They're all doing coke, fricking, partying, and working, in their down time they're doing nothing but promoting things they've worked on or endorsing/supporting a product. I doubt these people even have a fricking second to play a video game. So you're right, they're playing 8 ball pool, bowling, or candy crush on their flight to the next thing they have to do.

How the frick does he do it? Seriously.

The same way anyone else does to join in the Hollywood business: By sucking the right dicks and having enough money to look good, plus in Kojimbo's case he rode on the metal gear fame, the effort of others since the 1st MSX game wasn't even made by him, he just changed the genre and later joined the HomoMasons around the time MSG3 finished development, hence Kojimas obsession with his husbando Big Boss.
Just so happens that like his twitter bio said("his body is 70% movies"), so he knew the right dicks to suck to become big in Hollywood instantly.

      >unfinished
MGSV and DS are many things to many people, but "unfinished" is not one of them.

MGSV IS unfinished as hell, but you are right about Walking Simulator, it's not incomplete... It's made BEYOND boring shit on purpose.

      [...]

      >MGS1 is one of the greatest games of all time, he's a genius.
He didn't make the whole game by himself, he took the credit of others plus he had a writer to keep his shit on check, plus a israelite localizer had to fix the whole mess of a "story" in the game to make it good in the west(wich it worked by pure miracle).
Kojima is no genius, he is just a lucky meme "writer" that started to believe in his own hype too much after MSG3 and later became a narcissistic homosexual after the development of MSG4 and Peace Walker.
MSGV was when he tumbled down the stairs because of the sheer weight of his narcissistic hubris, but he still had LUCK on his side plus his movie knowledge helped him to target the right dicks to suck to get in the Hollywood clique.

Poor konami, that big bully kojima took 80 million dollars of their lunch money and didn't give them anything in return except for a game that sold over 6 million copies.

The dude literally sabotaged Konami's gaming division when he was VP of the company by then, by helping with the whole pachinko and mobile shit re-structure.
How do you think he got those 80 million to make MSGV later on?
Only to take half of that butget to make P.T to impress Del Toro and SONY California later on?

More like he got lucky that israelite localizer Blaustein(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Blaustein) indirectly made him famous here in the west literally, to which Kojima is still salty to this day for some reason... even though if it wasn't for that israelite, he would still be a literal WHO idea guy at Konami, ironically.
This is also one of the many reasons why i hate israelites too, even indirectly they cause shit to get bad over time.

Ain't that the fricking truth, here's more:
These hollywood people are seeing the writing on the wall for the cinema/TV industry thanks to ESG venture capital, so now they are running away to video games and it just so happens that a gay little fake developer Jap is kinda "refining" the Movie-Game genre, to which it works good enough for them.
Funny thing is that the gaming industry is collapsing too, to which is like a double-edged sword chance for them, a 50/50 chance at either a successful transfer or total collapse.

And I thought, ‘I can’t anymore.’ I was at my lowest and felt like I couldn’t go back to making games. I wrote a will, too. And in that moment, I realized that people die. But, I turned 60 last year. I’ll turn 70 in ten years. I hope to never retire. Having said that, if the users desire it so much, I thought I should change my priorities a bit. I still want to do new things, but I decided to make an action espionage game.”
          >He continued, “I get many requests from Hollywood to make films, but I’ve refused them. Because I have my own company now, I can’t leave for one or two years to go make a movie. The company would collapse. I was in a tough spot. And I talked to Guillermo del Toro about it. And he said, ‘Hideo, what you’re making is already a movie. Keep going as you are.’ His words saved me. And since we’ll be working with many creators in the business, though the output is a game, it won’t be too different from movies.”

I remember reading that on an interview with a translator and localizer(one hired by Kojimbo himself since he was butt-hurt by the israelite) of MGS2 if memory serves me right.

Too seriously? It's not level design that displayed how seriously Kojima thought of himself as a storyteller. Even though I love the game, it was MGS2 that introduced the convoluted 2deep4u storytelling that turned the story into a giant ruse cruse mess of conspiracy.

Kojima was just fricking around with LEGO and writing stupid shit that needed to get fixed by the other writers but he was still having silly fun back then, just a normal Ganker fan in the vidya industry.
It was around MSG2's wild success and in the middle of MSG3's development that he started to believe he was serious hotshot hollywoood material, to the point of just dumping his LEGO to the trash and tried may times to replace Hayter because he wasn't a B-list celebrity like Hobo Reedus or the 24Hrs guy, only to fail for a bit until MSGV.

that "60%" of the "too long" you are talking about is just copy-paste filler of the same 10 missions.
The real 60% of the content got abandoned because like many said here:
He has overblown part of the budget on his celebrities and licensed music.
And to add salt to injury he later took a bigger chunk of the budget to make that fake silent hill demo as a sort of curriculum for Del Toro and SONY to let him in the inner circle of hollywood.
Battle gear getting cut because of "gameplay imbalance"?, i call that bullshit.
Why the need to draw clean artwork for "cyborg chico" if he was supposed to "never appear"?, i find that suspicious
Why leave all of the 3rd chapter cut?, if you dare tell me it's about the stupid "phantom pain" meme he pulled on you... then i have a whole country to sell you.
Kojima is just a hack and nowadays also a hollywood man-hooker that stole money from Konami.
Yes, Konami ain't a saint either but most of the mobile and pachinko shit is also Kojima's fault since he was the V.P and he supported 30% on that re-structuring, hence i will ask the same question that i asked someone else here: how do you think Kojima got that $80-million dollar budget?

Kojima could leverage his automatic success factor to do the Georgy Lucas thing and get some proper talent to augment his vision. You know, let him create the basic outline, and then get some people who actually know what they're doing replace that with something good, and then he alone brings in the audience that thought they were getting Kojima and are instead getting quality. It would allow for total artistic and design freedom devoid of financial incentives because Kojima products sell even when they're literal human shit.

    Irreversible damage to the industry

The fricker has damaged the industry way too much, i guess only rivaled by whoever started gachas and microtransactions, the difference is that midwits and pseuds praise him

That hot shot Hollywood mindset was already in him; which is why MGS2's storytelling is all over the place.

    >>game comes out an unfinished mess
Death Stranding is a complete and polished game. He even said the Director's Cut was a misnomer since he got everything he wanted the first time around. It also was a success, which is why he's making a direct sequel with the same publisher.

      Inferiority complex
They are pussies who get embarrased when saying they play games, but not so much when its about movies, so they constantly want games to be movies, and this frick is the epitome of that

Can't believe we live in a time where people actively defend Konami, of all "video game" companies.
    Baffling era.

You only say that because you're a pathetic manchild fanboy. Also low-IQ, which Kojima pretty much is these days.

That's what most modern games are like now. Kojima is truly a visionary and ahead of the curve.

I don't understand anything about DS, as in, i don't know how to play it, i never had this happen to me in like 20 years of playing games.
The ui is also a train wreck.

As much as I think Konami should've let Kojiumbo finish MGSV, if I was in their shoes I probably would've done the same.
He is taking years making his shit without having a proper schedule for release, taking company money like a free money glitch to do whatever he wants with it, and the product he ends up making doesn't even yield much profit, while the other department that makes souless soccer gacha game (that's probably really demoralizing and un-fun to develop) is working their ass off try to make an actual profit, despite Kojiumbo takes all the credit for the company success.

Also journos painted the situation as if he got bullied by the company before getting fired but that happened as a result of internal coup to take down his power as he had top executive position in Konami. Simply booting him off wasn't simple because he could've used his position and connection to uno-reverse the situation and completely take over the comnay.

I tough i was alone in the world on that opinion, but it looks like it was not the case.

Yep. Not to mention Kojima kind of brought it on himself too, he could've easily used his executive position to mentor and push for creatives like him, but it's pretty clear that he wanted to be the sole creatividad of the company, and didn't really allow other talented people to get the credit they deserved.
Which is why post-MGS Konami turned from a company that produced numerous solid titles, to a weird company that farmed money by making slops, while Kojima production did whatever the frick they wanted with the profit that those slops made.
Kojima literally was a God of the company while the slop workers were his slaves doing all the work for him.

It's a loss leader. Saying "Kojima is making a game exclusive to PS5" is worth more in the long run than the actual game.
It's like a Coca-cola commercial. You know what coke is, everybody knows what coke is.
    >"you're a sophisticated consumer, buying this PS5"
    >then proceeds to only play Fortnite, NBA 2k and Call of Duty

He absolutely is a innovator in the medium of games but I am still not too sure if he should have his current reputation as an auteur.
Really do hope he is directing the Death Stranding movie so we can find out once and for all.
