Most strong men were drafted to fight, the ones that weren't just stuck to the fields. It's not they got some random ass woman to fight. They have their own reasons for being strong
Almost all of the island's competent male fighters were slaughtered on the most honorabu moron charge on the beach. The whole game is about amassing people to form a resistance that is initially mostly composed of women, criminals, and ex rebels that were too butthurt to help out at first.

I liked it a lot, the game is not perfect at all and some elements even got a little boring but it had a nice simple story I could back, fun gameplay (especially liked the different stances) and top tier samurai aesthetics. Being a samurai in the game never once got old
