Random crits should be melee only.
The more dmg you do in a short period of time the higher your crit chance. If you’re at 19 kills without shitting crits yourself every third attack then you deserved to die.
Crits are a good anti-sweat mechanic that helps TF2 maintain it's longetivity

Literally the only reason new players have a chance playing the game is because of crits. billy.roblox2012 will quit if he's going 0-24 against people who have been playing for years. This wasn't Valves intention, but I have seen so many new players play the game longer since they arent getting curb stomped 24/7. Would turn into a Titanfall 2 situation where nobody can get into the games now because everyone is autistically good at the game.
A point that long time veterans of the game also don't digest well is that the learning curve of TF2 is shit steep and there really are no good tutorials to help new player acclimatize to the game. There are SOME tutorials that introduce most of the basics but nothing about the game's deep mechanics and intricacies that long time players have learned and mastered over the years. TF2 is an amazing game but it is very unwelcoming to newbies
